J.C. Neupert has manufactured world class harpsichords, clavichords and Hammerklaviere since 1868.
Our instruments are to be found in many of the most acclaimed venues for classical music, including the Berliner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Semperoper Dresden, National Centre for Performing Arts, Beijing, Guangzhou Orchestra, and many more.
Nowadays J.C. Newport is one of the most important manufacturers of historical keyboard instruments worldwide.

As a recording engineer (since 1969) I deal with many period instrument purists. All with opinions. Just once I'd like to encounter a 1970's "German Batleship" double manual, in good playing condition. They have their uses.

The old neuperts were terrible. If you want a great historical reproduction why on earth would you get one from a factory?
