      If rent was $200, you'd still get a significantly less monthly wage because the world's elite don't want people to live comfortably. The equivalent of your rent/wage would be the same as it is now.

    About a year ago I was making $14/hr. I started making $25/hr at the beginning of the year and seriously thought it was going to get smoother and smoother sailing from here. I took a step forward then a big step back now that everything got so much more expensive in the last few months. You can't really beat the curve. The curve catches up all over again

      France got the « gilets jaunes » when their president changed it from 62 to 64, and now are gonna change it to 67

    I had to leave University because my job wasn't decent enough to pay the cost of living in a city. Now I'm in my hometown living with my dad working as construction worker for less that minimum wage here in south america. It's fucking sad, I'm just surviving

      Come to toronto the union wage for all construction workers is 39.10 a hour plus time and a half overtime with crazy good benefits and pension and goes up every 3 years. And if you get your CDL commercial liscence you can run a concrete pump truck for 45 a hour with double time OT after 8,before 7am, and on weekends with travel pay and insane benefits and pension. They are hurting for guys over here and will take you if you have no experience let alone any. As a pump guy you would clear 3000 after tax on a 70 hour week during the summer. If you are a hard worker in construction you can make big bucks here and it isnt slowing down for the next 25 years👍. I know its far from home but hey you wont regret it thats for sure

      Because people can only do that if they have the skills and experience (and the contacts, let's be honest) to do that. It also needs those jobs to exist in the area you live.
      If you're just about getting by, you don't have the resources to upskill, gain new experience, or relocate.

    I took on an apartment because I got a new job, only to lose that job and get stuck in the lease with my new minimum wage one. Kinda sad that some days just consist of sitting inside now since gas prices are so high and food keeps going up in price.

    Bro I literally did that for a year at a job, and my coworkers were nice for the most part, even a cute girl told me to go lunch with them one day and I still went to my car to eat and then smoke a cigarette while listening to bloodborne's ost.
    Even nowadays, I'm doing ok working remotely but just today declined the invitation (with expenses paid) to join the company's xmas dinner next month because traveling and meeting gives me anxiety... Man why am I like this.

    I had to pay 56€ for 2 months bills in December, then on February I paid 170 fucking euro for the bills. Seriously too much expensive, maybe I should have moved to some countries and spent holidays for a week or 2, like Spain. Instead to stay at my place and get that huge ass bills price.

    Made 2k euro a month working in factory while I'm just a student. Instead of working in mcdo or wage slave tech companies go work in better places that doesn't even require qualifications

    Really enjoy your videos man.
    And no you can't survive on 600$ a month in the west lol!
    Here in Norway, rent starts at 1000 and 300 is minimum to eat and drink decently. The rest (travel, insurance, phone, doctor/meds, a steam game etc.) is usually another 300$. And you should save 200$ at least for a rainy day too. So anything below 1800$ isn't even sustainable for the absolute simplest way of living.

      @@fosoofkkkfkfkckd And this is for the absolute minimum with no travel, restaurants, bars, buying products you enjoy etc. For a "normal" life in the west, you need 3000$ minimum. If you want to own a place and have a decent car or be able to raise children, you need probably around 5-6000$ for the basics. Edit: after tax of course.

    Our economic system is not going to last very long. If we ask for wage increases to make up for inflation, that too adds to inflation, making us poorer no matter if we increase/decrease wages. It's going to impode on itself. Jobs haven't been able to provide a decent living since 1973. Unless you want to go into $1,500 monthly student loan payments, wiping out any bigger salaries as a result of a degree. (not to mention trade schools are getting just as expensive as colleges now)

      Same here. I'm so lost at what to do. Companies take the route of being too involved in your life or treating you as disposable. Institutions are corrupt and untrustworthy. Normal people everywhere seem to be one faux pas, criticism, or setback away from meltdowns or they're just pillhead zombies. Not a conducive environment for wanting to work, or doing anything really. It's black and white thinking, sure, but is it wrong?

      @@WeAreTheSHWE The thing is there are too many people in the job "market".People can be replaced easily .For one guy that gets a job there is at least a 1000 waiting in line for that exact job.You work for a month there then they fire you and get another moron and then repeat.A lot of these so called "employers" fire you after a probation period so they wouldnt have to contribute to your pension and health insurance.

    600$ is good for starter job salary in India. But i don't think so anyone in USA would be genuinely earning that low with a proper full time job

      People in non-Western countries seem to forget that although wages in the West are higher, so are the costs. I used to work fulltime 40 hours a week as a call agent for a big phone company and earn about €1350 or so, I don't remember exactly. At the time my rent was 400 or 500 euro's,I believe, I am not sure. I was lucky to be able to live relatively cheap as I could split costs with ym girlfriend, but plenty people with a similar job have a rent of 800 euro's or more.

      @@Doomerbro99 Because in some countries like Poland that is literally the monthly wage for working fulltime. In some countries it's even lower. I remember many many years ago talking to a guy from Bulgaria who worked fulltime in a Zoo and would earn about €350 euro's a month. He thought about suicide. I hope he is okay now.
