सिर्फ इसलिए नहीं कि आपने औरों की तरह शैलेन्द्र जी के प्रशंसा में दो शब्द कहें हैं यहाँ बल्कि इसलिए कि मेरे ऊपर से कमैंट्स पढ़ते हुए नीचे आने पर आप वो पहले ऐसे व्यक्ति हैं जिन्होंने अपने दिल के उदगार को अपनी स्वदेशी भाषा हिन्दी में लिखा हैं वरना यहाँ तो मुझे कमैंट्स पढ़ के आश्चर्य भी बहुत हुआ कि फ़िल्म हिन्दी, गाने के बोल हिन्दी में मगर प्रशंसा के पूल जो बांधे गये हैं उसमें नब्बे प्रतिशत तक अंग्रेज़ी को वरीयता दी गई हैं हिन्दी की तुलना में। और ऐसा भी नहीं कि यहाँ जिन भाई बंधुओं ने अपने उदगार रोमन लिपि में लिखा है उनको देवनागरी बिल्कुल नहीं आती होगी मगर हम अपनी आदत से मजबूर है अपने स्वदेशी चीजों के प्रति हीन भावना का होना और विदेशज के प्रति आस्था का बढ़ना एक सामान्य बात और इज़्ज़त की बात हो गई है।

An autobiographical song written by Shailendra, all his life he was known for his simplicity, humility and modesty and was an exact epitome of the character which Raj Kapoor presented on screen. It is amazing how those characters fantasied and created by another master Late Khwaza Ahmed Abbas coincided with the life of living legend Kavi Shailendra in fact he was member of the musical team of Raj Kapoor whom Raj Kapoor will address sometimes as Kaviraaj and at other times Pushkin. Kaviraj is a word which more often used in Bengali than in Hindi and its no coincident that Late Shailendra had taught himself Benglai language to savour the original Bengali version of Tagore's Gitanjali. He was so overwhelmed by the literary works of famous Russian Master Pushkin that he had taught himself Russian language to savour's the beauty of master's works in the original form in which they were written. Probably it was his scholarship and his all round knowledge which made him so simple and modest. The pangs of pain of his heart are visible in the songs he wrote during the making of Teesri Kasam, the making of this film made him aware of the frailties of human mind when his own in whom he had reposed his complete faith and trust cheated him in all sort of ways. He was heart broken not because of financial loss (he was quite capable of paying off all the expenses and leakages of the making of films by just six month or one year of song writing< having in those days charged Rs. 2 lacs for the songs of Guide), it was the loss of trust, loss of all that was good and nice in humanity which had him in the end, he was too young, but too talented for his age. He had achieved much more than which most of us cant do in many lives. His loss is colossal and whenever any of his gem being played I feel the pangs of very personal loss. I am sure millions of his admirers must be having the same feelings. He was too great for words !!!

श्याम सुन्दर जी, वाकई में आपने शैलेन्द्र जी के बारे में बहुत अच्छी बात बताई है मगर आपको नहीं लगता कि इस बात को आप यहाँ हिन्दी भाषा या यूँ कहे कि देवनागरी लिपि में लिखें होते तो शायद शैलेन्द्र जी के प्रशंसा में चार चाँद लग गये होते। वैसे ये खुला मंच है तो आप अपनी मर्ज़ीनुसार कुछ भी और कैसे भी लिख सकते है और मेरी राय को मानना या अवमानना करने के लिए आप पूर्ण रूप से स्वतंत्र है मगर एक हिंदीप्रेमी दर्शक और श्रोता होने के नाते आप तक मेरी बात पहुँचाना भी जरूरी था। मुझे लगता है जहाँ तक संभव हो वहाँ तक हम अगर हिन्दी भाषा का उपयोग लिखने पढ़ने में करें तो भी हम बहुत हद तक इस स्वभाषा को भारत की एक लोकप्रिय भाषा बनाने में अपना अंशदान कर सकते हैं। उम्मीद है, भविष्य में हमारे निवेदन के आलोक में आप हिन्दी को अंग्रेज़ी के जगह वरीयता प्रदान करेंगे और यथासम्भव इसके प्रचार प्रसार में अपना सहयोग देंगें।

जी निशाद जी, वाकई में वो स्वर्णकाल था बॉलीवुड या हिन्दी सिनेमा जगत का मगर इस तरह के कलजयी रचना के पीछे बहुत ही कॉमन बात थी कि उस समय के गीतकारों का भाषा पर बहुत ही अच्छी पकड़ थी। फिर चाहे वो शैलेन्द्र जी हो, अनजान साहब हो, शकिल बदायूंनी साहब हो, साहीर लुधियानवी जी हो, मजरूह सुल्तानपुरी साहब हो या मेरे चहेते आनंद बक्षी जैसे उस समय के हर नामचीन गीतकार को अंग्रेज़ी से ज्यादा अपनी हिन्द, उर्दू जैसी भाषा पर बहुत ही अच्छी पकड़ थी। जितनी बढ़िया संगीत बनाते थे नामचीन संगीतकार उतनी ही बढ़िया गीत लिखे जाते थे। एक एक शब्दों के चुनाव उस गाने के दौरान दर्शाये दृश्य को जीवंत कर देते थे और दर्शक बंध से जाते थे। अधिकांश मधुर गीत के बोल होठों और ख्यालों दोनों से चिपक से जाते थे हमेशा हमेशा के लिये। और एक आज का दौर देख लो साहब, कुछ चुनिंदा गीत, कुछ चुनिंदा गीतकार को छोड़ दें तो सबको अंग्रेजीपना का भूत सवार है। मनोज मुन्तज़िर, समीर, गुलज़ार जैसे कुछ अपवाद है आज भी वरना तो आजकल के अधिकांशतः गीत बीना अंग्रेजी के शब्द या फिर अटपटे शब्द के पूर्ण ही नहीं होते। तो कुल मिलजुला के ना तो वो कलाकार बचे और शायद ना ही वैसे श्रोता तो ऐसे में उस गोल्डेन एरा की पुनरावृति तो असम्भव सा ही लग रहा है।
आप जैसे समान टेस्ट वाले लोगों से अपील है कि जहाँ तक संभव हो हिन्दी का प्रयोग करें और इसके प्रचार प्रसार में यथासम्भव अपना सहयोग दें। बाकि आप पूर्णरूपेण स्वतंत्र है इस खुले मंच पर अपनी भाषा और शब्दों के चुनाव के लिये 🙏
