My daughters confidence was completely undermined last season after making the completely wrong stick selection. Unfortunately, a tap around in a shop just doesn't cut the mustard as we unfortunately found out. All the consumer has to go on are yours and a couple of other reviewers videos, the chat lines on the big retailers are manned by non hockey players etc. So thanks for trying and please do more. I am now faced with a +£200 gamble yet again!
Hi, If you head over to my discord server on the link on mu profile page (its free to join) there's a discussion section around stick selection, I am active in there and there is also other members of my community active to help guide stick choices.
It varies company to company. Some I return some I give away some I can keep. If you head to my account I have reviewed the Otter O100 😉 it is a good stick for sure
Around 510g I think, the best option is to contact a store and ask what they have. Remember that balance point can massively affect how light a stick feels
Maybe you should publish a score system, 0-10 touch/feel, 0-10 power, the list goes on. Its hard to understand the review when you say the same thing about another stick/brand but at another date in time. you have published similar results from 4 different brands now in the space of 24 months or so. I really appreciate you content, just want to see your channel grow, maybe add the shoes you wear or the grip you use, where you are testing the sicks, some more background would be cool...
I initially did include a score card system but I stopped including it up front as people would skip to that point and ignore the rest. I do go back and add them in the description or to the hockey family website but that's currently going through an update.
Grip I use is available on my store at www.bossfhockey.com/shop they are made by Gribbid who make the Osaka grips as well as their own pro grip with is used by a lot of international players. Shoes I swap and change and there's several pairs I own currently. More reviews for them are coming in future
1. There is no best attacker stick, there is only best players stick. I use an xlb no matter where I play I know other people who only use a mb stick. 2. What is your style of play?
@@BossFHockey I love to make solo plays from the quarter line to the circle and then just shoot off a rocket. I also play in the middle sometimes so I need too have a good pass, dribble, aerial and shot. I’ ll check out the sticks you’ve recommended. I’m coming from a Osaka Pro tour bronze (low bow) and I absolutely loved it for shooting and 3d skills, but I’m lacking a bit of ball control. Dragflicking and aerials also work nice on it. edit: What’s your length en what size should I use for my stick? I’m almost 1.80 and am using a 36.5 inch stick but don’t know if there is a huge advantage to going bigger
For me personally control is very similar but the brabo is better for dribbling but I do prefer a lower bow for dribbling over a mid low bow so it's personal preference.
I have made the switch to Y1 as my main stick (outside of reviews) but this was mainly due to the ease of swapping in and out of the oval grip on the brabo. They are both excellent, have you tried a Y1 stick in person?
A dragflick groove is an indentation in the shaft of the stick to give better control of the ball rolling down the stick in dragfliscks. It also gives a small increase to the bow but only a minimal one
@@BossFHockey I have a question... I'm thinking of cutting my stick from a 37.5 to a 37. How much weight would u reckon would be gone? Its a X3 Brabo. Like maybe 10g? 20g? Thanks..
It's honestly impossible to say, your reducing your stick by an 85th of its length, but that could contain more or less then 1/85 of the weight as stick walls tend to be inconsistent. Why are you thinking of reducing your stick?
@@BossFHockey hnm as I used a 36.5 before this stick and when I used the 37.5 it felt a little weird.. Maybe I'm just not used to it but I feel making it to 37 would be perfect for me
Great review good to see objective opinions about sticks would love to give this stick a go

Hi im just wondering how heavy it is because im about to get one 😅

Otter and brobo which is more good to use?
Depends for what?

Could your do a review on a Y1 stick?
Which one?
@@BossFHockey the LB X or GLB X
I have reviews of both in progress 😉

Stick size is what ever you are comfortable with. I'm 1.93m and use a 37.5 Felix Denayer is the same height and uses a 38.5
🙌
Do you know what is de difference between the zize 3.6 L and the 3.6 XL ?
They are different weights 36.5 is the length, the letters are light (L) and extra light (XL)
😍😍😍
Hey mate, do you think this stick is better than the Y1 GLB X?

What is better, this or JDH X 93 concave 2020?
For me personally I prefer the Brabo. Both are excellent sticks I think the Brabo just has a little more hitting power
