i think the energy sword is actually AWESOME. it is devastating and has a reasonable range. u probably used it with 0 power so it was useless...so replace it when u have to. in the next part its ESPECIALLY useful!!
@@eldeeable Sure, but it's an awesome weapon, really devastating. U dont have to use it, but sometimes, and vs some enemies, it's especially deadly and super useful. I also like the sentinel beam usually. U can try and mix it up with any weapon u can find.

Green grunts are known as grunt heavies, which use fuel rod guns (Covenant rocket launchers) and plasma turrets Blue elites are in the minor class, and the weakest (if you can even count elites as weak) typically only using plasma rifles, but a rare few will use energy swords. Red grunts and elites are known as grunt majors and elite majors, respectively. Grunt majors are more aggressive, and are more likely to kamikaze themselves on you with plasma grenades. Elite majors, as you’ve seen, have stronger energy shields, use needlers and carbines alongside plasma rifles, and can dual wield. The white elites and grunts are known as ultras. Elite ultras have even stronger shields than the red majors, and use more potent weapons, such as the energy sword. I don’t know much about grunt ultras, in terms of how they deviate from the majors. Dark grey elites are the covert ops assassins that can turn invisible. I find it hilarious that you ended the video just before the end of the mission. You were right, though, it is a boss fight. Also, I would encourage you to try the needler (the spikey purple/pink gun) if you haven't already. They do have a sort of target seeking capability whenever the targeting reticle is red and if you get a bunch of them to hit in a short time frame they will make the target enemy explode. Along with that, they can be dual wielded. As you continue through Halo 2 you will see more and more new weaponry (as well as some major plot twists). Can't wait for the next video. You're doing a great job.👍

I remember playing on Halo 2 on release and the overwhelming hype around. Everyone was playing it, talking about it. Getting people together of MP LAN party night to practice for one of the multitude of tournaments happening.

a little backstory for you... The elite's rank of Arbiter is given to the highest ranked warriors who failed to fulfill their purpose. It's a mark of shame the elite will carry for the rest of his life as he is sent on suicide missions in the hopes of regaining his honor through death. However, this wasn't always so. The rank of Arbiter was once the greatest title and highest honor an elite could attain given to the most respected of warriors. for a bit more information i recommend watching the halo 2 terminals to get info on past arbiters and their exploits. I also recommend watching Halo Legends: The Duel as it tells the unfortunate story of how the rank of Arbiter went from highest honor and prestige to one of shame.

@@ryanzimmerman1594 sometimes. It depends honestly. Other times the expanded lore will just do nothing but confuse you more as a lot of 343 lore contradicts bungies universe. It's best to just go by what you learn in the gameplay itself at first if you're a newbie. Atleast until you get a good handle on main plot of the first 3 games.

Came across ur channel love the bubbly personality defo subbed, halo will always be my favourite franchise, I got some information for you each halo game has something called terminals which explains sub lore within the games (more information) it’s better u react to it after the entirety of the game you will know more about where things are and it will make sense since the gameplay doesn’t really cover it, also since halo itself is so lore rich I recommend hiddenxperia who covers so much of the halos lore in a much deeper level, from history of the flood to the mutation of it the process, he also talks about the elite protagonist as well, there is so much but i recommend u do the terminals reactions as well the reaction lore videos. 🤘🏼

The big thing about the elites is they are only focused on honor, to the arbiter, doing this was a way to restore and die with honor instead of with shame. The books really flesh out the elites culture and beliefs and its probably some of the best lore in any franchise

Besides gameplay overhauls, one mod I would love to see: H2A cinematics with Bungie-era sound effects in gameplay. After playing all those mods, I have gotten accustomed to the original weapon sounds.
They hate the arbiter because he was responsible for the halo and he failed to secure it. The halo 2 terminals will explain a lot after you finish halo 2s story.
20:41 in the lore its revealed that here is the girl from halo 3s trailer who chief grew up with. she doesnt know what happens to him and while chief does want to say that he is alive and he is the chief, its info that is classified

When you are in a Banshee, you can do tricks to Dodge, just push A (or the button that use yo jump) and move the joystick left, right, or up, whatever you want

The arbiter was a Supreme Commander one of the highest ranks in the Covenant but became the arbiter after he failed at halo. The arbiter is a badge of shame and an excuse for the hierarchs to kill off any elites who gain too much influence within the covenant and threaten their political power. Thel Vadamee aka the arbiter was gaining influence and the failure at halo was the excuse to have him disposed of.
Quick tip, if you have power weapons that you don't want or don't have much ammo for, swap it for allays' weapons. They have unlimited ammo and are pretty decent with swords rockets and snipers.
@@eldeeable unfortunately they will not regenerate ammo. But they can still use their traded weapons endlessly. Also forgot to mention that some allies can only take some weapons. Like you can't give a sword to a grunt as an example.
The enemy grunts have blue tubes on their backs and the enemy elites have like wings. Your grunts have green tubes instead and the elites have no wings❤ well its what I call them.

@@eldeeable Its a shame because on paper, the heretics' armor designs are very well distinguished from the regular covenant via the bronze/purple motifs, the tubes and the spikes as mentioned. The shields are also purple instead of the covenant elite's blue shimmer. But a good number of people still cant distinguish em in the heat of battle so dont feel too bad. If nothing else just make sure your targeting reticle is RED, not GREEN. happy hunting!

The elite's rank of Arbiter is given to the highest ranked warriors who failed to fulfill their purpose. It's a mark of shame the elite will carry for the rest of his life as he is sent on suicide missions in the hopes of regaining his honor through death.
However, this wasn't always so. The rank of Arbiter was once the greatest title and highest honor an elite could attain given to the most respected of warriors. for a bit more information i recommend watching the halo 2 terminals to get info on past arbiters and their exploits. I also recommend watching Halo Legends: The Duel as it tells the unfortunate story of how the rank of Arbiter went from highest honor and prestige to one of shame.

It isn't necessary to understand the story of Halo 1-3.

Other times the expanded lore will just do nothing but confuse you more as a lot of 343 lore contradicts bungies universe.
It's best to just go by what you learn in the gameplay itself at first if you're a newbie. Atleast until you get a good handle on main plot of the first 3 games.
FYI, Sgt Johnson’s lines when he brings the tank are even better when you play this level on Legendary

@@eldeeable master chief and arbiter are a lot more similar than they’d like to admit. Chief had a horrific childhood and was forced to be a soldier and Arbiter failed his people and will forever bare the shame of it

Came across ur channel love the bubbly personality defo subbed, halo will always be my favourite franchise, I got some information for you each halo game has something called terminals which explains sub lore within the games (more information) it’s better u react to it after the entirety of the game you will know more about where things are and it will make sense since the gameplay doesn’t really cover it, also since halo itself is so lore rich I recommend hiddenxperia who covers so much of the halos lore in a much deeper level, from history of the flood to the mutation of it the process, he also talks about the elite protagonist as well, there is so much but i recommend u do the terminals reactions as well the reaction lore videos. 🤘🏼

The big thing about the elites is they are only focused on honor, to the arbiter, doing this was a way to restore and die with honor instead of with shame. The books really flesh out the elites culture and beliefs and its probably some of the best lore in any franchise

Besides gameplay overhauls, one mod I would love to see: H2A cinematics with Bungie-era sound effects in gameplay. After playing all those mods, I have gotten accustomed to the original weapon sounds.

The arbiter was a Supreme Commander one of the highest ranks in the Covenant but became the arbiter after he failed at halo. The arbiter is a badge of shame and an excuse for the hierarchs to kill off any elites who gain too much influence within the covenant and threaten their political power. Thel Vadamee aka the arbiter was gaining influence and the failure at halo was the excuse to have him disposed of.

Quick tip, if you have power weapons that you don't want or don't have much ammo for, swap it for allays' weapons.
They have unlimited ammo and are pretty decent with swords rockets and snipers.

Also forgot to mention that some allies can only take some weapons. Like you can't give a sword to a grunt as an example.

The enemy grunts have blue tubes on their backs and the enemy elites have like wings. Your grunts have green tubes instead and the elites have no wings❤ well its what I call them.

@@eldeeable Its a shame because on paper, the heretics' armor designs are very well distinguished from the regular covenant via the bronze/purple motifs, the tubes and the spikes as mentioned. The shields are also purple instead of the covenant elite's blue shimmer. But a good number of people still cant distinguish em in the heat of battle so dont feel too bad. If nothing else just make sure your targeting reticle is RED, not GREEN. happy hunting!
