We can Crete total of 40 relationships on an object. Limit to create MD relation is 2 for a single object. If we create 2 MD then we can create 38 lookup or else 1 MD and 39 Lookup or 0 MD and 40 lookup relationships.
I am 41 yr from Dallas,Texas and love your explanation. I am from QA background but follow your videos a lot. I am bit slow in grasping the concepts. So, I watch each video 10 or 15 times ( sometimes even more ) just curious in seeking knowledge in Salesforce. And maybe next year I 'll be ready for some admin positions. Total of 40 relationship fields we can create per object. We can only create 2 M-D relationship fields per object, in that case 38 lookups can be created. If one M-D relationship field is created than 39 lookups can be created. If no master-detail relationship fields created we can create 40 lookups.

We can create maximum of 40 relationships on objects .Maximum 2 master-detail and 38 Lookup or 0 Master 40 lookup or 1 master and 39 lookup but there cannot be more than 2 mater-detail on single object.

1) 38 lookups and 2 masterdetail or
2) 39 lookups and 1 master detail or
3) 40 lookups or 0 masterdetail relationships

Given that a junction object can have at most two master-detail relationships and that a _junction_ must be between at least two objects, does it mean that if I need to establish many-many between three objects I must create three separate junction objects, one for each combination of two out of three m:m relationships?
Hey, why Salesforce allow to create two records with the same masters ID's? Aren't they composed primary key in the junction object?

Again when both of the objects are deleted what happens to the junction object?
Answer: 1st case - Junction object is deleted and moved to the recycle bin.
2nd case Junction object is deleted permanently
@salesforce hulk What is the best way to implement unique records in Junction object [e.g. S-1, G-1 combination should not be allowed to be repeated]?
If we have to create one to one relationship without triggers and workflow rule but with lookup relationship then how it is possible??

Hi , Nicely explained. I do have a question though. I have successfully managed to implement a many to many relationship but can not add a roll up summary field on Student obj to see how many groups is he enrolled in. Can you please explain how might that be possible?
Use process Builder to do this.

I have understood why JUNCTION OBJECT is needed, this video was quite helpful. Since I'm working with existing objects that are being connected what is the best way to seed current data into the JUNCTION OBJECT. I'm concluding I have to export from both Pkey objects merge and import as one?

When modeling a many-to-many relationship, you use a junction object to connect the two objects you want to relate to each other. A custom object with two master-detail relationships. Using a custom junction object, you can model a “many-to-many” relationship between two objects.

Hello, please let me know Can we delete and and delete the Junction object?
Junction object records are deleted when either associated master record is deleted and placed in the Recycle Bin. If both associated master records are deleted, the junction object record is deleted permanently and can't be restored.

What is lookup ?
In Salesforce, lookup fields allow users to associate two records together in a relationship. For example, a user can associate a contact record to an account record using the Account Name lookup field. When users edit a lookup field, they need to find the right record to associate.
