Also zuff mentioned Love, Rosie. I don’t know if all three of you guys have seen it but it’s up there with this movie in my opinion. Hope you guys watch that as well in the future
I just remembered that Sam Claflin is in Love, Rosie as well. I adore the man, but I think I might dislike Love, Rosie more than Me Before You. Hoping the next romance script he reads is actually a winner.
I read the book before the movie, and though the movie makes me cry, I finished the book in a day and truly was sobbing for the half of it. So beautiful
I did the exact same thing read the whole book in a day and was sobbing my heart out at 1 in the morning after finishing it, the movie was so good but didn’t give me the same emotional reaction that the book did but I also knew what was gonna happen from the book so that’s why I probably wasn’t as emotional for the movie but yeah 16 year old me was a mess after this book x
I was told this was a romance before I watched it the first time 🧍🏾♀️ I felt like I was punched in the heart and stabbed in the gut when I got to the end. Snot was running from nose.
This movie and Last Christmas were both Emilia Clarke movies that were a true punch to the gut. Although I was rage crying at the end of Last Christmas.
Oh this was so emotional. My Aunt and Uncle went through this over 20 years ago when he was in an accident and paralyzed from the neck down. They were so in love but he told her he didn’t want to live anymore and she told him she understood. Even though she went on and remarried, she still talks about him, still dreams about him, and I can see it still kills her.
Since you love Emilia Clarke, I recommend you guys watch Last Christmas it's such an underrated movie by her! That is one of my favorite holiday movies.
Highly recommended y’all watch love, Rosie! I know zuff said he’s seen it but if Rob and Bryce haven’t seen it I think they’ll enjoy it. it’s incredible! Sam Claflin is in it with Lily Collins
I kind of like that the "me before you" phrase can work both ways. It can mean her learning to put herself first for once but it can also represent his decision to put his own wishes first before those of everyone around him. He knew what his limits were, what he could live with and despite everyone trying to change his mind he knew that this was not it. I don't think it's selfish either, for he's the one who has to physically and mentally live the experience day in and day out.
DId ya'll know while filming GOT Emilia Clarke actually had like a brain anurysm or something like that and actually needed surgery. I think maybe twice. The fact that her acting was still on point amazing is just a testament to how amazing she is as an actor she is.
If u liked this movie you would love "Love, Rosie" It's fenomenal. The story is really complex and Sam Claffin and Lily Collins have great chemistry in it.
Love can't always save people, unfortunately. I live with pain every day, some days are worse, some better. Nowhere near his pain tho, but I can definitely understand his feelings. "Waking up every morning, already wishing it was over". Imagine feeling like that every single day. I live with depression and have felt like that, and sometimes still do. It's excruciating. 😥 Of course I wanted him to live, but I really understand why he couldn't.
Loved your reaction! This movie never fails to make me cry! We find out that he gave his parents 6 months pretty early on but it still hits hard when he tells her he hasn't changed his mind. Sam and Emilia killed it in these roles, their chemistry was off the charts and this movie is just overall amazing and heartbreaking all at the same time. Will really taught her how to live and wanted her to experience everything life has to offer, all the endless possibilities. Will died, and Louisa started to live. I love this movie so much, can't tell you how many times I have rewatched it, I bawled every single time. ❤️😢
So excited to see this through your eyes guys!! :) EDIT - just finished and loved the movie as well as how sweetly you all commented on it. Thanks for this!
Every time someone was trying to get Will interested in life, he was a spectator. He couldn't convey his feelings with more than words, and when she walked away from him, she didn't understand how that made him feel so out of control and powerless. The peace in his character at the end was fully heartbreaking, and the letter just reminded me of the line from wandavision. What is grief, if not love, persisting.

The book made me cry, the movie made me cry. I can see why a lot of people feel betrayed by the ending, but I knew going into the movie how this story was going to end. Zoff saying he wouldn't be able to handle being in that room at the end is totally understandable, but I have first hand experience of being by a death bed in that way, I actually held my uncle's hand as he passed away. It is unbearably heartbreaking, but you have to remember that you are there for them, and whatever you're feeling in those moments will be valid. At some point everyone will experience losing a loved one in their life, and many don't even get the chance to actually say goodbye. So if you have the opportunity, don't let it pass you by. It will be difficult. Grief is hard, but it is a fact of life. If you've never experienced that before then you are lucky and I hope it doesn't come for a long time, but when it does the only thing that matters is being there if you have the chance.
Steve Peacocke (Nathan) is a well-known and beloved Aussie Actor. He had a recurring role in a really popular Soap Opera here in Australia called 'Home and Away' for many years. I love this movie and the book its based on. Great reaction guys!
You all are absolutely adorable with your reactions to romantic movies like this. I always enjoy seeing 3 guys who are genuinely good guys show true feelings and emotions. Love you guys channel! ❤
A great movie; definitely got a bit choked up at the end. As for the motorcycle accident, it definitely is how your body is positioned when you get hit, rather than how hard you're hit. A few years ago, I was helping a friend move out and as I was lifting a small slightly heavy box, I got distracted for a quick sec, lifted wrong, and then next thing you know, I was in the hospital for a week, now having to walk with a cane for the rest of my life. Life is just random like that, one minute you're fine, the next minute, you're fucked. So just be mindful of your surroundings, oh, and lift safely. lol
This movie is something to me. I live it, but at the same time I feel weird about it. I remember that I saw it with my mom when i was 18 or 19 years old. Then my mom had ALS and i watched it again, hoping that the end will be different even though i knew ho's gonna end. Yes, Nathan came from Home and Away. It's the same soap that Chris Hemsworth was on before he became "famous." I was also a fan of that tv show. I'm so glad you guys appreciated him, he's a really good actor :)
omg I didn't know you guys would react to this movie! Their chemistry was amazing, I remember watching this for the first time and thinking how could actors like them not fall in love with each other?! I loved their relationship so much, the birthday scene was so sweet because it showed how much he was paying attention to her. The ending wrecked me because I really thought he would love her enough to change his mind. Still a great movie though!
Watch Daisy Jones and the Six, it’s a tv series where he’s one of the main characters in and the other is Elvis’ granddaughter and they form a band together. It’s great!
I'm gonna be that annoying person. I was really excited for this movie and it was such a let down from the book. They left out her entire backstory. In her past she had to deal with SA and that shaped her so much that she never left that small town. To me that is the entire point of her character arc and its the reason the ending is so emotional and shows the impact he had on her life. I will never understand how they just left that out in the movie.
OMG! I totally was just thinking that. Her having dealt with SA also influenced how she dressed and her quirkiness too. That detail including when she got lost in the maze by the castle ( I think idr lol) also showed how much PTSD she had from the experience. Adding to when Will had to find her and she was crying; it just showed how deeply they cared for each other🫶🏿🥹I loved the book too and they both made me cry sooo much!!
Just came by to leave another desperate plea for Good Omens. You have no idea how good that show really is. Don’t sleep on Our Flag Means Death either.
Great reaction to a great movie. I've read the book as well as watched the movie, loved both. To me the title refers to how they were different people before they met each other, how love changed each for the better.
Wonderful reaction. Would like to know if there's one for P.S. I Love You? It gave me the feeling I think you three would at least appreciate that movie; if you've not got a reaction, I'm recommending it.
I don't know if anybody mention this, but the castle in the background where Will ride his wheelchair was the castle where Neville fall from his broom in their first flying class
I never dared to watch this movie twice, i cried too much the first time i watched this. If you liked this one you should watch the movie One day as well, its also funny and heartbreaking but completely different.
watching this reaction & seeing finnick (william traynor) i just realized you guys haven’t reacted to the hunger games which is crazy!! please please put that on your list i would do anything to see you guys react to it🫶🏻🫶🏻
So after you posted this video, I watched your reaction even though I've never seen the movie. Halfway through your vid, it seemed like a pretty good movie, so I stopped watching your reaction and watched the entire movie myself. Now here I am watching your reaction 😊 Same thing happened with Abbot Elementary. Never knew of it until you guys.
I forgot how sad the ending to this movie was! 😢 I love Emilia, but I do prefer her playing more of a powerful woman role because she does it so well! 🥰 I always interpreted the title to refer to both Louisa and Will before they came into each other’s life 🩷 like “this was me before I met you” …🤷🏻♀️☺️
Love this film as it's one of my favourites. It funny in parts but it's very sad 😢😢😢😢. Live boldly push yourself, don't think of me too often I don't want you getting sad. Just live,I'll be walking beside you every step of the way. ❤ Will.
This is such a good romance film - apart from the ending. It angers me for two reasons: the idea that his life isn't worth living, but also Lou's side. It's an awful feeling when people reject you because THEY think you will be happier without them, when in reality it's the opposite. And they don't even ask YOUR opinion on YOUR happiness.
I always thought the title meant "this is the version of me before I met you". I know there's at least one sequel where she travels and has adventures and the idea is like she set out to change him, to make him want to live, but instead he changed her by teaching her how to live.
Ok,this is basically just a "short" version of the movie and I still cried😂.. I knew it was a bad idea to watch it in public, because I've seen this movie couple times already and I cried everytime but I honestly thought I can handle it in this version. Coudn't. Anyway.. It was great movie and also a great reaction. In my language translation of the book (and the movie as well) is something like "before I met you" and when you read it you can see what would Lou's life be in case she haven't met Will. I don't say that very often because usually the translation are terrible. But in this case it probably fit even better than the origjnal name ♡

Wonderful reaction. Would like to know if there's one for P.S. I Love You? It gave me the feeling I think you three would at least appreciate that movie; if you've not got a reaction, I'm recommending it.
You would probably enjoy One Day from 2011. Anne Hathaway stars in it.
wow! you actually watched this. ugh this movie (and book) always leaves my heart heavy yet hopeful. live your life with intention, always. 💞
I always thought of Me before you as a representation of how they both changed or learned things from knowing each other.
I don't know if anybody mention this, but the castle in the background where Will ride his wheelchair was the castle where Neville fall from his broom in their first flying class
This book and movie is in my top, it's just so beautifully heartbreaking
I never dared to watch this movie twice, i cried too much the first time i watched this. If you liked this one you should watch the movie One day as well, its also funny and heartbreaking but completely different.
I read the book it was so amazing 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Emilia Clarke is everyones crush regardless of gender I think 😃
This movie never fails to make me BAWL, no matter how many times I've seen it.
I absolutely love this movie and I cannot wait to see this reaction. ❤️
Top tier movie. I was only reminded of it again recently and thought I should rewatch it.
Love, Rosie is actually one of my favorite movies with him in it
This movie is heartbreaking! 🥺

'tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all- tennyson
So after you posted this video, I watched your reaction even though I've never seen the movie. Halfway through your vid, it seemed like a pretty good movie, so I stopped watching your reaction and watched the entire movie myself. Now here I am watching your reaction 😊 Same thing happened with Abbot Elementary. Never knew of it until you guys.
Watch ADRIFT! Sam Clafflin is also I it with Shailene Woodly and it’s a tear jerker for sure 😊
Great video guys! You should definitly watch Last Christmas with Emilia Clarke, she's really good in that one too
Yes to Love Rosie!! One of my favorite movies!
duff will definitely cry during the IRON CLAW MOVIE
ZUFF *
I forgot how sad the ending to this movie was! 😢 I love Emilia, but I do prefer her playing more of a powerful woman role because she does it so well! 🥰 I always interpreted the title to refer to both Louisa and Will before they came into each other’s life 🩷 like “this was me before I met you” …🤷🏻♀️☺️
yall should check out emilia’s new movie the pod generation IM OBSESSED
Oh God, this movie made me cry when I first saw🥲
Love this film as it's one of my favourites. It funny in parts but it's very sad 😢😢😢😢.
Live boldly push yourself, don't think of me too often I don't want you getting sad. Just live,I'll be walking beside you every step of the way.
❤ Will.
I always thought the title was meant to point out the difference in who they were before versus after meeting each other.
You should really watch One Tree Hill, it's amazing
Ok,this is basically just a "short" version of the movie and I still cried😂.. I knew it was a bad idea to watch it in public, because I've seen this movie couple times already and I cried everytime but I honestly thought I can handle it in this version. Coudn't. Anyway.. It was great movie and also a great reaction. In my language translation of the book (and the movie as well) is something like "before I met you" and when you read it you can see what would Lou's life be in case she haven't met Will. I don't say that very often because usually the translation are terrible. But in this case it probably fit even better than the origjnal name ♡
