Now THIS, is what we've been waiting for Jordan. Everything fits perfectly into the track, it's not too bland, and it's not too insane. It's perfect. The synths were one of the things I feel you perfected in this song. They gave a great feeling to the music, making you want to clap along yourself. This is the best track that I feel you've made (even though it's a remix) so far. All of us are waiting for more of your awesome music! Keep it up!
The remix places on the focus on the true heart of the song, the woman singing and her struggle. It's strengthens the theme and story the song is getting across. As in her story, the male voice is background only. Don't get me wrong, even if it shouldn't make sense, Sean Paul is a long time favorite of mine, all the way from Show Me the Light. That distinctive vocal style he has, is great. This just works a little better on those terms. The overall sound of the remix is really good, it's a good match for her voice, and carries the story easily. In the original version of this, Sean does overwhelm the woman to some extent. His is the first voice you hear, setting the tone. He has a very impactful voice. The mother, well, any mother, should have the dominate voice is she is the storyteller, if it is about her strength. She doesn't get as much of a chance. It still is a great song, but, that was a noticeable incongruity. So, very well done.
That synth gave me chills. And it's a 40 degree celsius, Australian summer day. (seriously, I hear the alarm from the nearby fire station going off. I hope the fire isn't too close.)

UPDATE 01/05/17: Just listened to several versions of this song, including the original version, and in my opinion I believe yours to be the best so far! Any emotions the lyrics evoke, I feel, are much more enhanced and feel more overwhelming than other versions, in really good way. I wish you best Jordan in the multi-dimensional plane of Music making, as I just retired from 9 years or so in concert music performance, and it was, and still is a sad departure for me. However, the places music will take you, I sincerely hope will bring you joy and inspiration in your life, and that I can find the same in listening to your creations!
