It'll get u there quicker, that good corn liquor!, I love C.S. As a solo artist but love'm even more with the Steeldrivers!, in my opinion one of the best bluegrass bands of all time
Hank lll
without a damn doubt brother...it gets me there quicker
Why oh why can't they have at least one radio station that will play this kind of country, bluegrass amped up or real country. In the end us real country fans will still be here. The pop fans will move on!
Esse som é d+! Direto aqui do interior de Minas Gerais - Brasil
Thank you
Never had any of Popcorn's, so I can't say his was the best, but I've had some real good shine out of Eastern KY that would be hard to better. 😉
Try some good ol West Virginia moonshine
If his wasn't the best, then whatever is would be heaven!
No matter what this song always keeps rhythm with a thumper. I make a damn good jar and this song is the key ingredient. May yalls mash be bitter, and your hearts be plentiful. Mighty fine pickin and singin!
Pikn n a grinnin
90 proof out the worm mmmmm mmmmm I can hear the cash dripping in that jar.
UJSSM on american oak for the win!
Laugh, I think I need to taste your liquor. :)
Just got started, maybe we could trade a jar?
So much better than Tennessee whiskey.
For real man. I mean who doesn't like tennesee whiskey? But compared to his new style as a whole. This was so much better.
Yeah man 🎶🎵😎
Damn this is good. Bluegrass is REAL country music.
absolutely
Its the countriest of country! hillbillys hickin and pickin and sippin likker
It's what country music is turning into I turned away from radio along time ago country music is not country music anymore I started looking for music an came across this genre of music an was like boys now this is country music hell ya fuckin love this song
There is Nothing better! ❤❤🪕🎻
Exactly! Love Bluegrass!
I come from south uk on council estates which couldn’t be further from the mountains of the us but I still feel like an old moonshine runner while blasting this track out in my garden cabin
Fuck YA!
Reading this comment couldn't be more proud of human kind from the hollers of eastern Kentucky.
Hey man, have pride with it. This music originates with your Saxon blood and my celtic brothers across the sea. You guys made this music we just put our little twist to it. Just sending a good little howdy from Wilmington, NC🇺🇸🏴🇮🇪🏴🏴
As the great grandson of a Man who ran shine through all of Kentucky and Ohio, this song brings me pride
Search moonshiner by Jason walton
Well the sun don't shine
On a moonshine still
Copper line hiding in the side of a hill
It'll get you there
It'll get you there quicker
Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
Now when I was young
About five or six
Daddy lost a job and my mama took sick
And times got tough
And mama got sicker
Daddy started running that good corn liquor
Well the sun don't shine
On a moonshine still
Copper line hiding in the side of a hill
It'll get you there
It'll get you there quicker
Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
I remember that night
It was a blood red moon
And daddy was doing what he had to do
When a shot rang out
And the sheriff pulled the trigger
And daddy stopped running that good corn liquor
Well the sun don't shine
On a moonshine still
Copper line hiding in the side of a hill
It'll get you there
It'll get you there quicker
Fruit jar full of that good corn liquor
Thanks!
Thank you sir
Thanks👍
This is the most perfect intersection of bluegrass and country I’ve ever been privileged enough to hear… wow
I don’t like “Chris Stapleton” much but I do love Jompson Bros and SteelDrivers
I discovered The SteelDrivers just to months ago after I found out Chis Stapleton sang for them. What a tremendous collection of songwriting and musicianship. I now own ALL of thier CD's!!!
I remember growing up my grandma lived wayyyy back in the hills of Tennessee chewed tobacco and smoked cigarettes and a shot of shine everyday lived to be 99 years old reminds me of the music we heard the whole time we where there
This music is sooo deeply ingrained in my American Heart, that I can’t help but get up an howl at the moon right along with them...🤔🤭🙃
my bosses dad makes good corn liqour. this hits deep. i live right next to the area lawless was based on. until 2010 there was rarely ever a cop around
MrEvilsurpent that’s cool man, I live in the East Tennessee mountains. Bout everybody round these parts has or can get ya some good shine, crazy to realize how northerners think about it. And that one in gatlinburg ain’t worth a count. It’s watery as hell lol
its a shame that its dieing off
This is what our ancestors played in the hills back in the day.....love it
yep...never forget
They don't have any bad songs. They are how i got hooked on bluegrass n made me buy my first of 3 banjos too. Just undeniably the best bluegrass band out there
I agree. I listened to progressive bluegrass on Pandora. every time I heard a good song I looked and it was the steeldrivers. so I put it on steeldrivers radio and haven't list to another station since.
.357 string band is a good one too but they broke up unfortunately
Ha no way dude these guys are standing on the shoulders of Giants ..Stanley bill monroe now so far these driver's ain't even in the same hall son. These are not ready biscuits this is country with a helluva vocal and somebody there is smart love the pastel chords. I want to hear them in 9 years. Now I've sat beside a couple of bluesmen real blues ..it's really loud when it wants to fill the hall with a wail...or high pitched scream bluegrass is an indigenous thing don't forget grandad Stanley he's in the family we seen him so much lol.. but the chest punch of a good vocal line these guys bluegrass players too ..notice the rollercoaster vocals nobody builds bigger rollercoasters than blues and blue Grass men. I'm not hearing that in these genetically organic songs .. haha thing is you cannot fake some blues baby either you're hurting or you ain't I think we all know the difference..this guy I think he works really hard but he's holding back. When's the last time somebody s singing made you cry.
if you like these guys check out "trampled by turtles", you'll like them too
Eagles
Real Country Music! Not that pop country shit
well said
that's right!
Devin Hamaker ehehe YEE YEE
Amen!
They're all hat and no cattle.
Saw the Steeldrivers in 2014 at a show in Columbus OH when Stapleton was lead vocals. Beyond talented talent, the whole band. This song just ripped thru my soul, never heard it til now!🔥🔥🔥🔥
keep the mash a workin and the lightning drippin
Reggie Alexander amen brother
Amen brother let the liquor flow and the good times come to all
Reggie Alexander, you got that right!
Albeit ill doeth just that.
Glad to hear some of you young guys are into bluegrass. Keep playing!
I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm listening to this lol
Love it
That high note rips my heart out.
my kind of music! makes me wanna sit on my porch rocker and watch the sun go down while it's playing
BOGADER 1 you forgot one thing, with a jug a good corn liquor
just what i'm doing!!!
Had me an old great uncle that ran that white lightning in the back country of the Missouri Ozarks.
Reunions was fun
Nice as a native to the Missouri ozarks we love white lightning
My father put this song when I was a kid walking to work with him, I've been listening to this song and the steeldrivers in general ever since. I play this song when I need to focus on any task. Thank you Steeldrivers for making this song and Ghosts of Mississippi
I really wish Chris would've stuck with these guys! bluegrass needs to be back in the spotlight!! Chris is an amazing solo artist, but he wouldn't have gotten there without this group.. I wish he would've at least given a shout out to them when he won his Grammy! #dontforgetyourroots
Brent Brown he actually gives them shout outs a lot. And still plays the songs at shows
Damn straight! At least he didn't sell out soooooo bad
bluegrass is always in the spotlight when you're looking in the right places
Justin Timberlake wouldn't allow him to
Brent Brown should have
how the hell can someone not feel within the deepest part of themselves this ... the real shit is ..Dam good music
for sure
Especially when you can drink some of this great Eastern KY corn liquor.....
East KY? I don't know, Western NC might've been better with Popcorn Sutton ;)
Sadly, he's not making it anymore. Also Chris is from this area. 😁
RIP Popcorn....
This song sounds good to an central Georgia boy like me 👍😎
And also sounds amazing to a northeast Oklahoma guy!
Anyone else come here from watching a @ThunderHead289 video
If that doesn't work for ya nothing will...got my foot a taping
People that don’t like this song I guess you aren’t country
People that don’t like this song are tone deaf and they indoctrinated trying to Overthrow American Government
I admit there are good Republicans and they need to help us weed out the AntiAmerican, brainwashed and Dangerous Traitor Trash aka: The Q idiots that live in a different reality. The GQP and tRump are going to be held accountable for their Treasonous, Seditious Insurrection
And if they are not held accountable and have The Book thrown at them. GQP officially created a clear and present danger to National Security and Public Health. These assholes made America seem weak. If Y’all Qaeda and Vanilla ISIS attack us we can blame @GQP
They ain't from the south. Damn Yankees! 350000 and they still ain't learned
Things are returning to times like this. People that do stuff like this know how to survive.
hell yeah! this is the kind of music that grew the beautiful south land!
It's all purdy just open your mind
@charina enchente totally under that radar band but like all amazing things out needs to be explored to find what you hold dear
How many stills done blowed up over time ya think??
I say "blowed up cuz I learned it in the South. Many lessons to be learned in the deep South. Listen & learn, I sure did.
Very much a part of True "Americana"-
You guys know that this style music down south was derived straight from black guys playing the blues. Funny how most say bluegrass is a white southern thing lmao
YUP & this AZ boy is jealous
GREAT JOB BROTHER ME CAME FROM COAL COUNTRY WVA NOTHING BUT RIDGE RUNNERS UP YOUNDER. THANK YOU MERRY CHRISTMAS FER YALL. BE SAFE STAY SMOOTH N FROSTY BROTHER.HAVE A GREAT DAY🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

It's 522 now
Funny enough im from the 269 (k-zoo) and the last time i had true shine i drank about a quarter of the jar, dropped it, and blacked out. Good times and rough mornings.
FOAMER 423 here bud, papaw used to make some good stuff, take a few good sips of clear and ya starta dancin to some good tunes like this
artifactman660 bunch of damn yanks from big city that can’t handle him beam let alone the mountain water haha
I love the banjo and fiddle in this and his voice AWESOME
Whoever said "the grass is greener on the other side was terribly mistaken. :) BLUEGRASS is the color of my lawn!!! hahaha
Brenda Sanford i
Forgive me but is bluegrass this particular genre?
Douglas Kurjata yes this is bluegrass.
11 years late, but does anyone else in the south having trouble with god damn Yankees moving in trying to change things?
Get lit
My uncle made moonshine in the hills of Tennessee.. Had other members of my family run shine thru KY TN NC.
Love this song hits home. Listen to every time i make my moonshine.
When the hard times come the whiskey starts flowing... trust me I've been layed off two weeks and it's been flowing
Bailey's Construction you can start making it to use as currency if a total crash happens😀you’d be able to survive
I'm lovin' the fiddle and banjo in this one!
The "Swampers” were “The Muscle Shoals Sound Rhythm Section", a studio band that hung out at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, that cranked out tons of classic recordings from Wilson Pickett, Aretha Franklin, Rolling Stones (Wild Horses) and Willie Nelson, and more; and of course Skynyrd recorded Street Survivors there, and the studio and band are mentioned in Sweet Home Alabama: "Now Muscle Shoals has got the Swampers, and they've been known to pick a song or two..."
This bluegrass band Steeldrivers just recorded their last album there and it is awesome. Listen to this song. “Good Corn Liquor” and you can see they got the sound, and they are not your father’s bluegrass band. Great stuff guys!
I live next to the shoals in Alabama and great music always comes from alabama
Chris Stapleton is one of the greatest musicians of our time
I smell Buffalo Trace cooking that good corn liquor right now!!!
I live a long way north in Canada and I love this stuff, grew up listening to the Ozark mountain daredevils
Just turned on this band by my Cousin Dan, born, raised, lives in wild, wonderful, West Virginia. This may NOW be my most favorite band ever. GREAT music!
Soulful bluegrass boi!!!! Love this shit and the stuff they talkn about:) cheers from southwest VA
The absolute best soul singer hands down with the best bluegrass band equals something truly special that resonates more so in 2022’s subpar country music atmosphere that’s out there today.
I can listen to ACDC and go straight into some Stapleton and back to some AC/DC
Heard that!❤💪❤💪
I hear that!!
My grandad till he married my grandma ran likker with his bother back in the hills of wv. He died a decon and his brother a pastor. Had a 35 ford souped up. Spent a good few nights in the county jail. I miss ya grandpa and wish I could of heard your bootleggin stories from you.
And Grandaddy was doing what he had to do
@@mariemckeeman6482 amen
My grandfather used to make one hell of an elderberry wine in his basement.
RIP Popcorn Sutton
He had a bad ass old Ford pickup
Scooter Mcc never had it but they say he made the smoothest clear you ever sipped
One of my uncles used to play guitars with Stapleton back before he was big famous most of my dads family was raised in east ky so I have that rooted in me
This type of music is so good, so American
Thunderhead289 brought me here
Yall touch the.heart and.soul your music is very sacred and soul
I'm drunk on that sweet Kentucky whiskey bourbon listening to the best of the best music life Is great
what an amazing testament to their talent when they lose a founding member in their lead singer, then win a grammy with his replacement, then lose him to health issues, and STILL continue to be a great band!!!!!!
Love the Steel Drivers & Tammys violin! And who doesn't love Cris?
What can one say, but............This is darned good music!!!
"fruit jar full of that good liquor "
"Copper line hiding in the side of the hill"
ThunderHead289 brought me here...
Killer band, killer sound - thank you from London.
My pa pa is from Franklin. U know the rest
Well last Thursday night I was at a private function at the Grand Ol Opry, the SteelDrivers rocked the place. I'm their newest fan. Tired of the bubblegum $h!t they call country music the newbies are putting out. Gimme the old stuff or at least something that has a traditional sound.
It'll get you there it'll get you there quicker
Ill be damned, yall managed to sneak a Steelsrivers song past the "Chris Stapleton fact tracker" guy that exists in every TSd comment section. Good on ya!!
Makes me wanna go be a criminal on RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2
Sorry to tell u im 15 and love the Steeldrivers and have 5 or six friends in bluegrass at school and the love any bluegrass they listen to

I never made any but I have physical scar's from drinking corn liquor. Mostly on my head. Hard to get nowadays.
What a great song!
See what happens when good black folks soul mixes with hillbilly banjo... We are meant to mix
Should be the theme song for Moonshiners show! Love the Steeldrivers
to quote a now" famous moonshiner" (which seems kinda the wrong thing ya want in that line of work) "If ya love America, you gonna have to love moonshine"
And latest here in SW Colorado was watermelon shine. It's clear fire all the same. Cheers to all my brothers of the blue flame...
