One small detail: the real Kala Patthar (Black Hill) is actually the black knoll in the middle of the frame exactly at 1:14 . That is the original viewpoint, now people climb higher to the Pumori ridge, and the name witn with them...

Great choices: Trip to Thame and using the high trail via Mong La. - Phortse - Pangpoche! Much better than what 98% of EBC trekkers do.
