I know that the petroglyphs of concentric circles in Australia equate to water. They were often used show where water could be found in the outback, at least in the wet season. When I’ve seen these circles in the Southwest of the US I know they can mean more than one thing.
1st: I thoroughly enjoy your content here I was w a love for Native American culture and history & nature. I hate what happened to them to the core. Re the still beautiful pictorial, those dark figures are The Watchers, or the Spirits who see all the bad things we do & report them to Creator. Then I see a Chief in Native Ceremonial (probably in war) Dance noted by the Badger. Something about the Rooster crowing & what is a Peacock IMO, that says we must show our unwavering power, make a loud shrill & show our colors to ward off the Snake. The dark snake there & also referred to as a dragon, btw, slithering in the face opposite direction. The Badger is known for its fierce nature though small always prevails. It’s like a story of a war they won after asking for the watchers & for God (Creator) to give them the spirit & strength to defy some evil threatening the life of their tribe. So, maybe this is why it’s called Black Dragon. 🐉
Maaaan seeing those names makes me so mad like whyyyy ? cornball activities for sure😢 On a positive note I love ur channel sm I’ve eaten so many meals to you keep it up love seeing all the amazing things from the past ❤
I love this area, I have been there many times. Fun fact: After visiting Black Dragon Canyon one day, my hubby and I stopped at a rest stop on 1-70 to find an Indian women selling jewelry. We told her we had just visited the Black Dragon art. She laughed and told us the "dragon" picture actually depicts someone saying "I went to the river and saw a bird". We all laughed. Now when I visit the area I tell my kids the story about the the dragon picture... it's most likely just a bird by the river. Love your videos!
Hi again Jeff, a couple of things, your camera view was smooth and I wondered how you did that with the bouncing ride going out? I am so glad that I “met you” because you are so careful not to move, take, ruin things and to explain things so people understand why they should just simply leave things alone which to me is so normal but obviously not to many other people and I really appreciate that way that you are. Thank you so very much. Mark
Have you been to the Petroglyphs at Lake Winnemucca ? There really cool and when you see the swirling head with legs for the first time it's awesome. Especially when you know those are all over the planet and date back 14k yrs. There's also another set between there and Fallon. It's cool to find the first ones by looking at people's RUclips channels and find them using the mountain tops as guides. That's how I did it with my kids.
To me, the image you show enhanced at about 11 minutes looks like this: A person who has decided to sit down on the crack in the rock. Kinda like laying an egg. Behind them, a snake approaches from in the rocks, and a little headless dog is trying to warn them. This indicates to me that whoever the artist was, they were using the physical features at hand as a part of the artwork, if you get what I mean. At 12 minutes in, I see a dog trying to climb the cliff, while the spirit person stands behind it. I have no doubt that that when they were first painted on, those spirit people had more distinguishable definition. At 13 minutes, I see a map, probably of the surrounding area. At the top left I see a cornfield or a forest. Maybe the spirals are water sources or houses. Maybe the arrows are directional winds or water flow. Maybe the zigzag lines were delineating a canyon, with its varied colored strata. I have no way to investigate my theory.
Dear Mountain Dew, please sponsor Jeff! He is awesome❤ That is all.
Edwin Fred Sutherland from Boulder Colorado born 1884 signed that rock @ 14:29 in 1911. He was 27 years old. So awesome.

I love this Saturday 🎉❤so many of my fav. Content creators have supply me great videos❤❤THANKYOU
Neat bike
OMG, these pictographs are amazing!!
It is so sad that people are so selfish in that they have to destroy history.. I've yet to understand why..
thank you for another awesome journey..
I agree. One of my wife’s boyfriends works for the BLM and he has told us some wild stories. People can be extremely destructive. It’s sad.
But your ok with the original people writing that graffiti all those years ago?
I don't know any other channel that had this amazing footage. Love it!
Truly enjoy your videos.. Thank You.. from the good Captain, Venice Louisiana

Mark
I grew up in that area, a lot of memories of the shenanigans during my high school days. A lot of parties north of there. 😊
Black Dragon is a great BASE jump!! Tons of these odd/cool pictographs all over the canyon walls in the region.
Love your treks and love you for bringing us along!
Those birds flying up at the end - wow!
It is however absolutely beautiful
Aloha ahi ahi ka ko a pau, and Mahalo Jeff. You're a fine artist and that is the appeal for you impressions and personality.
Amazing ! Wish I could walk in your shoes sometimes , but enjoy seeing it threw your lenses
I like your suggestions to pause the video to look, if needed.
The enhancements are really helpful!!
