Super happy there was a quick diagnosis and treatment for your son. Being an animal lover, animals will display the same symptoms for undiagnosed diabetes. The terra-cotta pitcher and the little toolbox makeover were my favorites ❤
I love the mushroom mold! Im not usually a fan of terracotta but I quite liked the coffee pot. That's an interesting looking spout! I think the butterfly casting was a sweet addition. The good thing about your son's diabetes is that these days, it's controllable, not a death sentence. My younger sister was diagnosed with type 1 at a very early age in the 1950s. That was not a good time. I'm so glad he's improved! Thanks for getting the word out and my very best wishes to Reed!
I am so sorry to hear about your sister. We heard from several people at the hospital that technology has improved so much with Type 1 diabetes and that before it was just a terrible thing because they didn't really have much that could help the children. I really appreciate your kind words and well wishes. I'm glad you enjoyed the terra cotta and the butterfly. Thanks again for coming back and watching. I appreciate you. 🦋🦋🦋
I loved all of your projects. The Whispering Willow is my favorite transfer book. I think my favorite is the transformation of the rusty, crusty toolbox. That's wonderful that your son is feeling better
Thanks so much. It is difficult to see your child sick but he is much better now. I am having fun with that set as well. I'm glad that you like the toolbox. It has a new lease on life. Thanks for watching and commenting.🌿
Hello Emily. Your projects are awesome. You definitely made the right decision to bring the pitcher back to it's original Terra Cotta state. Love the metal box and meaning behind it. I'm actually working on a jewelry box that I've painted black and using the Frond Transfers. It's such a nice combo. Glad to hear you're son is doing better. Take care and have a blessed week. 😊
I enjoyed these projects this week and decided to be a little "extra" with the moulds and transfers. I bet the jewelry box will look good. The plants pop against the black. Thanks for the positive words and hope you have a good week as well.
Just tonight I used some of those transfers on my project! I used the strawberries and some greenery. I love that transfer book ! You did a beautiful job on that wood round!!
Hi, great flips! Always enjoy your projects and loved hearing that you are in GA. I live near Valdosta, but do get up to the Atlanta area once in a while. I will definitely want to try to visit your retail space and purchase from it. I am sorry to hear about your son’s diabetes, as I know that Type 1 is serious business. I have Type 2 and want you to know that I will be praying for your son as he learns the ins and outs of handling his condition. Sending hugs your way .
Thank you for your kind words and prayers! It means a lot. I am so happy that you enjoyed these makeovers. Would love to have you come visit when you are in town and if you want anything I can alway send it to you.
My husband had to have his pancreas removed, and so instantly became an insulin dependent diabetic. He wasn't always the best at monitoring his sugar levels. He had a few episodes where he had very low blood sugar, and would behave very bizarrely . It's important to eat regularly and watch your blood sugar levels as well. If you are careful and take good care of yourself you can live a reasonably normal life.
I think the hedgehog is my favorite. I have these transfers and will use the hedgehog on a dark background like you did. It looks great! I recently used the tree stump with the rabbit and it was real cute. New to your site, will subscribe. Thanks.
Not a fan of mushrooms but overall project was nice. So glad your son is diagnosed and under control now. It is very scarey before diagnosis. My daughter went through all the same symptoms at 5 years old and has now lived with type 1 diabetes foe 34 years. It is very stressful for the Mom, so my advice is learn as much as you can, along with him, so you can help him stay under control. My daughter was very active, played a sport every season all four years in high school. She went on to play field hockey for four years in college and then coached HS field hockey for 15 years. Your son will be fine as long as he stays on top of his numbers. Check into the insulin pump as soon as possible. Good luck to you all.
Hello! I have used all of the IOD products but transfers are my favorite! Also, I really like Fusion paint. Bayberry is my go to color choice. I sure do enjoy your channel which I found not long ago!
Absolutely love the mushroom pitcher ❤ gorgeous. The box is cool. My husband just got diagnosed with type 2 has to poke his finger and give shots etc only he’s 58, it’s kinda sucky especially if you’re only 17 , I feel for ya❤
I'm so glad that you enjoyed them. I thought they looked good and cool too. I'm sorry to hear about your Husband-I hope he stays well. We are hoping to get a monitor and a pump soon and eliminate the multiple shots and finger pricks.
@@lonnawatkins7129 Thank you for watching and leaving me a comment. It's a Staalmeester pointed sash brush. Staalmeester paint brushes are fantastic. jbowenandcompany.com/shop/ols/products/staalmeester-brush-e-pointed-sash
My daughter did the same thing, she was also 17. It turned out she had type 1 diabetes, brought on by chicken pox had when she was 2. My heart goes out to you. If you ever need any guidance, please comment on this video. She is now 36, but has had a rough life, brought on by not being compliant when she was young. As of right now, we have been in the hospital 12 times since last May. I go to the hospital with her, so her husband can stay with their 2 boys. It has been a rough 2 years.
@@LifesasandybeachSandyOetzel I am so sorry to hear about your daughter. That must be really tough. So far my son has been diligent in taking his shots and following the doctor's orders. I know it must be hard at a teenager. Thanks for sharing your story and helping your daughter. I hope and pray that her health improves.
Hey, did you know that the stems of ferns are called reeds. Not spelled the same as your son's name. I just thought it was so perfect for your son that you was using ferns. I love the box it is perfect. Thanks

Thanks, it was scary. It's still a work in progress but we are so lucky he's doing well. I'm glad you enjoyed my projects. Have a great week.
Beautiful box. So glad you recognized that something was wrong before damage was done. ❤
Thank you! Glad you liked it. 🌿🖤I am glad we caught it although I wish I would had been more aware.
I love the sound of your voice and how you explain what you are doing.
Thank you! I try to be clear and explain my process.
Emily I love that mushroom pitcher!!! That iron clay paint is beautiful 😍
Thanks girl! I love Iron Clay and the mushrooms are so fun.🍄🍄🍄
Love your work. Thanks for sharing your son’s story. I have two teenage boys. It will help we to keep an eye out.
Thank you and you are welcome. I'm hoping to spread the word and help parents become aware.
Oh! They all came out just wonderful...all different but with a common theme! TFS!
I like that you list all that you've used in the projects 🩷🩷😽!!
Thank you! These were so fun! I like to make it easy for others to see and find what they need! 🍄

I used the hedgehog on a small stool also. I painted the stool black.

It is a tackle box not a tool box, the ruler on the lid and the little shelf inside are the give away. just FYI
@@peg1ster Thanks...there wasn't a shelf inside. Guess it's to measure fish.
My husband was diabetic

Cute stuff…. But, please lose that screechy music.
Your background music is very distracting and does not compliment your video.😮
