Your reviews and playing style is awesome. all the music i grew up on. You turned me on to soundlad and funny little boxes. Im in the US. I have a scran in customs right now, and I get my 1991 pedal next month. This pedal is next on the list. Soundlad is genius, I know he had a big part in the 1991 build as well....the scran circuit i cant wait to play with.... and this fuzz with the starve is just epic. it's only a matter of time before one of his pedals hits big like the 1991......his circuits are genius, and unique, and everything I love about guitar pedals. I would really like it if you would do more reviews of small builders and unique circuits. like Polarbear effects, and like poison noises, kma audio, and small builders from the UK etc. thanks, keep it up!!
Thanks man that’s great you’re enjoying the content and supporting UK builders is awesome too! If you do order a Beaver don’t forget to use the affiliate discount code for £10 off (BEAVERALL), lots more demos planned! I think his Hungry Beaver is amazing value for its quality but also the sheer range of tones on offer. Very few fuzz pedals do a range of tones, most do one thing very well and that’s it. This ones based on a big muff sound but the starve really opens up the range of tones on offer 😀🤘
@@LetsPlayAll Yeah, it does...the starve and the controls allow it to have many different fuzz tones, like the kinda stuttery tone bender sounds, to more of overdrive sounds, to big muff...etc. I have an eqd hoof reaper with the octave up.....it can make so many good fuzz sounds, but its big, its noisy....i really think I like this better....Thanks for the reply, it was unexpected!!!
@@LetsPlayAll my pleasure, did you get the chance to check the RVM video with Abbruzzese? Any chance you... Like... Talk about it somehow some time?! 😜
Surely the best Xmas pressie ever!! That’s awesome Bryan but also sorry for the GAS 😂 I play mine all the time, just love it! Send pics when it’s done 🤘😀
I am lucky enough to have unit number 3 of this pedal! It really is as versatile as you want it to be and after years replaced the Russian Big Muff on my board. I absolutely love it. The price on a boutique pedal is ridiculously cheap also.
Oh wow that’s very cool! It’s knocked my Big Muff off my board too haha 🤘😀Yea I can’t think of a single pedal this versatile at the price point. Bargain indeed!
Nice choice in Riif! That is a great soundinge pedal. I don't think it does justice on the Pumpkins riffs cause you just need the sound of the Muff op amp.
Thanks mate! I compared it to a setting on my OpAmp Big Muff Pi that I use for SP and to my ears it was super close. Was just to give an idea of the tonal variety the pedal offers, I can’t think of anything in this price bracket that can do such a wide range. Glad you enjoyed the vid! 🤘😀
The settings you used on Satisfaction reminded me of a sitar. During the Time solo, when you held that B down at the 4th fret, I found myself really hoping to get a moment of feedback before moving on. It’s a good-sounding fuzz pedal.
That’s some good fuzz. Not too buzzy. I scrambled around with different fuzz that was actually damn buzz 🐝 Finally found the Muffuletta JHS pedal and love it. Thanks for your cool channel 👍

@@BarkDawgBark oh wow yea that’s defo influenced by Mad Season! Silverchair released that tune 2 yrs after Mad Season’s album, it’s an identical riff that they’ve tweaked and elaborated on. Good spot!
Can you make a video using this pedal and the box of rocks to get those dinosaur Jr lick solos tones because he uses a big muff with a MkII tone bender fuzz pedal. Dinosaur Jr solos fuzz tone is a nice tone plus how he plays his solo licks is not blues pentatonic based, it is different type style
Wow most of my fav fuzz tones! Will definitely have to give this a try. They should do a overdrive called Honey Badger! 😄
Haha Redbeard Effects already has a rad octave fuzz pedal called that 😀🤘
Matt, I know that this is a fuzz pedal review/demo, but that Oswald is amazing!
Haha thanks Ace!

Actually it's A Girl Like You by Edwyn Collins :) besides that...another great selection!
Haha oops! Cheers! 🤘😀
Fuzz on, all the way
Nothing can beat it! Love this pedal and your McCready guitar
Nice demo once again Matt 😉
Cheers mate!

@@LetsPlayAll Thx a million Matt
Spitty little rascal here. I love it.
Cheers Eric! Lots of fun tones to be had 😀
Think you meant Edwyn Collins not Edwin Star for a Girl like You. Love the pedal though!!
Haha whoops! 😂 thanks for the correction ☺️
I talked with nick! I’m getting a copy of your Oswald. I should see it around Xmas.
You get all kinds of cool stuff and I have a bad pedal addiction

Big muff sound
Smashing pumpkins - got to be

@@thehowlingbell definitely! Has to be the most versatile Big Muff style fuzz out there 🤘

Was hoping to see some Touch Me, I'm Sick!!!!!!!!!!
Ah that’s a good shout! I should’ve put in some Dinosaur Jr too thinking about it! Maybe I’ll do a part 2 😀
Just teasing us now with THE guitar!

HUMMER by Smashing is AWESOME FUZZ RIFF
Agreed Fabiano!
Love me some fuzz riffin!
Cheers Kowboy!
Tasty
🍻 cheers!
Wish I saw this when I ordered the scran and before I bought too many fuzz pedals.
haha it's a real swiss army knife. Based on a big muff circuit but on steroids :-) The mids control is awesome
“i don’t know anything” sounds almost identical to slave by silverchair
Interesting will have to check that out again to compare!

Yes, this pedal is amazing but i should confess i would be glad if we see you try Big Fuzz Pi Pedal in another video one day.
You can check out my OpAmp Big Muff pi in my Smashing Pumpkins lessons for Cherub Rock or Hummer 😊🤘

lots more Dino Jr lessons coming, and I'll definitely dig into the solos and tone too :-)
@@LetsPlayAll thanks that will help out a lot
what's that technique on i don't know anything you seem to be hitting the fret to get the harmonic never seen it before prity cool
It’s just a harmonic on the 4th fret (Low E), awesome riff! 🤘😊
One Fuzz to play them all O.O
Haha my precious!
I don't know why some guitar players hate Fuzz pedals!
indeed, i'm not one of them :-)
