If it helps, I have Eosinophilic Cellulitus (Well's Syndrome) and it also presents as a horribly itchy rash when it has outbreaks. For me, it's a big immune disorder. It's pretty uncommon and took me a year to get it diagnosed, even at a really great demotologist center. The point of it being. . . the spots itch so bad you want to carve your own skin off and it keeps me up at night itching so bad. Sometimes you just want to cry from the itch. I found that for me, the best resources were to 1) freeze it out -- this numbs the area and lets my skin calm down. It is awesome when it's at its itchiest. and 2) let the area be exposed to open air and dry it out if possible so it stops spreading. Yeast infections and fungal infections also do better with moist areas I think, so that might work there too. My approach is to start with an ice cold shower to target as many of the places as possible. Then I apply gold bond powder and try not to have clothing over those places if possible. This keeps it from being brushed against or getting irritated which itches even worse. Finally, I always keep a constant supply of ice packs to apply to the worst areas. It'll kill it and again gives my skin a chance to calm down for a while. Again, you are probably dealing with something entirely different, but I've definitely found that cold and dry were my best approaches to itchy rashes. My dermatologists separately recommended different topical ointments, but they made it worse. That could just be me though. Good luck! *mandatory note that I'm not a doctor. I just live with a disease that often causes itchy rashes like this. Don't use me for reliance - check with doctors for your personal needs!
