- The last freestyle I posted was 4 years ago, still was way too nervous to put this on my own channel but I tend to get a lot of people who forget that I actually love to just dance for the joy of dancing outside of all my videos I do.
The reason I produce my videos the way I do is because I am trying to become much more than just a choreographer - because film is something I am also very passionate about. And a lot of people look for anything to scrutinize over when they don't like somebody, but at the end of the day whether people like what I do or not at least I can say I was courageous enough to put myself out there, work hard, and do things that really make me happy, and freestyling is one of them even though it's a side of me most people may not see.
Special thanks to J Tight for the couple krump training sessions he's helped me with can't wait to learn more. I'm hungry!

I've noticed that some people that have commented seem to be a little confused over the concept of freestyle--yes-of course Ian has heard the music before--many many times--just as most "freestylers"(especially the really great ones) in battles have heard those same songs a zillion times.It doesnt make it a "freestyle" because you've never heard it before-- it's the fact that the movement is spontaneous/not choreographed- so, this was definitely freestyled.-right before Ian took the stage,I asked what he was going to do for his showcase and he said -"I think I'm gonna freestyle"-I was there-actually standing outside in the hallway watching--and even I was mind-blown!

Ian if u see this, I just want to say that u should never hold back on ur freestyling!! Freestyling is like living life...in certain situations u can't think through every step and solution, u just have to do something and hope it will end up ok and most of the time it does...so don't be so tentative and cautious about being open and free to do whatever u want bc in the end it will be just as great as something u spend hours working on...trust you're instincts!!! Love ya!!

omg ian you need to do it more often. this is like a whole another side of you that we've never seen and I'm so proud that you finally put up a freestyle footage. I know it is hard especially the biggest critic is yourself most often and I suffer from that too!!! but damn that was just insane and raw!! freestyle is what dance is about and theres no better feeling than to see how the body reacts to the music naturally. theres just no way to describe the feeling and i can totally relate hahah. i always criticize myself and never show anyone the side of freestyle but yeah you need to do this again!!

I've watched your career grow since ABDC and I feel like a proud Mom (I know you already have a great one of those- my kid is 7 and I'm still trying to teach him the Thriller choreo, one of my parenting "musts": manners, Thriller choreo, don't be an asshole) with everything you've done lately.
The best part of it all is this- some people in the public eye really change when their career takes off, and you really seem to genuinely appreciate everything in your life, and have so much respect for your fans, your family, and where you came from. Says a lot about your character. Enjoy all of your accomplishments because they are well deserved.

I think a lot of people think this isn't a full freestyle because he really knows the song. I don't know for sure, maybe it really was part choreographed, or maybe he just knows the song incredibly well
