Would love to see a video about each particular type and how they would likely react to all the other types. E.g. INTP sitting in a bar, INFP comes in and sits two spots away, they say nothing and avoid eye contact
ENTP sits down (a few seconds pass before he even realizes INTP and INFP are even sitting there) looks up and picks up the quiet vibe off these two... is actually relieved. The TV starts to play something he actually has an opinion on, and he looks over at these two guys still staring straight ahead... now uncomfortable.

@@makaylasuchenstein3530 Oh, that would make sense. My brother is a fellow INTP, I feel like he would also love mind control just for those reasons, lmao.
Shapeshifters? Yeah. That makes sense. I adapt without really trying. I just like to enjoy myself and enjoy others enjoying themselves wherever I go. One of my favorite things to do is to help make people relax and have fun. Not long ago I was playing a game with relatives and the mood was tense and awkward because we hadn't seen each other in a while and so much had happened since then, so I turned on the charm and started making them laugh. We were laughing and smiling together for the rest of the game. It felt very healing. Never underestimate the power of silliness. It might be a little embarrassing, but it feels great when people relax and smile and start making cracks of their own.
As an INFP, I really like the idea of teleportation. If I were able to *choose* my superpower, however, I'd definitely pick the ability to manipulate (primarily slow down) time. I have way too many hobbies to be able to pursue all of them without first accepting the idea of forever being mediocre at all things I love doing, which, of course isn't really an option. Teleportation would solve the problem of not being able to visit all of the places on my bucket list in a single lifetime, but so would time manipulation. And, although destinations are destinations for a reason, the act of travelling from A to B can be extremely satisfying/fulfilling and/or beautiful in its own way: some of my fondest memories were created on the route to school, sitting next to my best friend on a train or while riding my bike under a star-adorned night sky with music as my sole companion. I can't see myself sacrificing that. Therefore, If I had the ability of instant teleportation, I think I'd mostly use it as a tool for getting a few more hours of sleep in on school days. Having said that, I understand that time manipulation is way too overpowered of an ability to include in these types of fun, speculative videos.. Love the content :)
Lol, I like that! If I could choose my superpower, I'd probably go with shapeshifting because the endless possibilities and experiences you could do with something that would be so cool and would feed into my craving to explore my thoughts on the outside for once :0 In a sense it's similar to shapeshifting cuz of how they both relate to exploration outside of our own minds :> Then again I also like the idea of teleportation since I do love travelling and I would love to travel the world >:0 (Ok sorry I'm rambling) - an INFP
As an INFP, it'd be awesome to teleport not just to different places in our world, but also being able to reach other worlds or dimensions, there would be so much to see and learn.
as an INTP, INTPs have endless brain capabilities. we can literary learn any skill if you show it to us 3 times. But we choose to be lazy and watch youtube.
Ay, same. I spend so much time thinking about what I will do, that by the time I get an opportunity to do it, I can't bring myself to put anymore brain power into a thoroughly exhausted topic.
OMG!! I'm INFP and Teleportation is always super power that I want to have, Damn! I want to transport myself to my own Imagination so I don't need to face the reality 🤣
Wow, you caught me off guard. I'm an INFP and I love the idea of teleportation. We could take ourselves or others instantly to Nepal or the Sahara or, or. Maybe in a nice middle of nowhere and have a picnic. Okay, I got too infp, but thank you for reading. :0)
Or merely teleport to wherever we need to be, when our daydreaming causes us to run late. Atleast i have often wished to be able to teleport for thar reason
@@aprilw2287 Seriously! I would randomly think of visiting the moon, and, well nothing because of lack of oxygen. But would be trippy. But my powers would bring me back to Earth, I think. ;-) Thx. :-)
i always say that as an intp (probably) that my “mundane” superpower is being able to finish assignments exactly right on time (and ofc do them well) and i mean it’s weirdly exactly on time, like within the minute, like if that break i had taken an hour before had been two minutes longer i wouldn’t have been able to finish. it’s useful lol
Haha exactly! I relate to this a great deal. I have analyzed and thought about how long it will take me to do things well and always manage to finish them right on time. -INTP
I forgot to do one once and missed out on all A for the year in a degree paper. Teacher was cool so I paid attention. It was a topic of interest, can't say I did so well in more stressful classes and never cared about grades but other people do.
HAHAHA exactly. me, INTP, just told my ENTP partner in crime, "we like to live on the edge". we're both aiming to start and finish a research paper in one month. we both know we perform best under stress and deadline 😂
I feel as an infj, I do try to plant seeds in people's minds sometimes, but it's only to 'empower' them to look at something from a different or more clear angle in order to help themselves. At 46, I haven't once felt the desire to use it for my own good. My philosophy is that why would I go poking around in other's minds when I can barely deal with my own 😊
Maybe it's cause of having third slot Fe but I'm pretty good at understanding the inner workings of others and working with it but it's pretty difficult to actually shift it much, it's more reactionary. Sucks when I know damn well the demons my friends and family deal with but can't help much without them actively knowing they have Saud demons and desiring to change them. Teach an Fe master class, will ya!?
your description of INTJs being able to see around the corner before others even see the corner is ABSOLUTELY DEAD ACCURATE. it is frustrating as hell and, it frequently makes me want to smack my forehead in disgust AND disbelief in how others could possibly NOT see it???????
I am an INFJ and people reading and picking up their vibe comes naturally to me as the "pattern system" instinctively begin to play it's role in my analysis. I think INFJs have a deep charisma of penetrating on people's minds without a lot of effort, in their subtle manner creating that bond of understanding. Also I like your unbiased and non stereotypical type of thinking for each type. 🖤
Just watched this again. Great insight. Personally I think developed ENFPs can create and provide beauty and meaning for other people, which basically feels like "life is good!" mixed with receiving personal support. I've never been a chaotic enfp, but I have floated and observed and absorbed a lot. Without realizing this earlier on, my focus has been to create beautiful and peaceful environments where those I care about can relax and self reflect. ENFPs are undervalued and this is one of their superpowers. It's easy to miss if you happen to not need it :)
Honestly, those are also my top 3 powers, maybe time travel instead of teleportation, but for the same purpose more or less. Shapeshifting would be cool because I could become whatever I want. And multiple mans = Duplication? Would be cool as I can then perceive things differently and talk to my self in the real world.
I'm an INFP comic artist working on a fantasy story with superpowers. Laughed out loud at ENFP and ISFJ, because the ISFJ main character of my comic has the power to become invisible and incorporeal like a ghost, and her ENFP love interest/deuteragonist is known for being a good actor, persuasive and silver-tongued. The third protagonist is an ESTJ. Not quite 'unstoppable momentum', but he has powers of super-strength and endurance and is the "tank" of the group (ENFP being the mage, ISFJ the rogue), so that reminded me of him as well. Total coincidence. I chose their skill sets, fighting styles, and superpowers before even knowing what MBTI types they were, so it's funny how well these match up. :D
i love how every one of Ethan's videos is informative, unbiased and logical. 90% of content you can find on the internet about jung's personality types is either boring, biased or straight up incorrect. people don't know what they're talking about and romanticize types like infj while being overcritical of types like istj. Ethan's videos are a breath of fresh air. They never fail to be informative and interesting while remaining unbiased. He sees the strengths and weaknesses of all types and never makes them into more or less than they are - a type. The thing i love most is how to the point he is. This video is a perfect example... his intros and outros are always brief, his anaylis is clear and logical and he gets from one point to another, he never stutters or corrects himself. This video is 10 minutes of amazingly prepared content. I could praise him for hours.
These are my favorite videos!! I always had this idea in my head that our cognitive functions are like dormant/unevolved superpowers. Just my Ne running wild lol -ENTP (I liked that you saved the best for last)
Indeed. usually because we are the weird ones in the corner so even if we have a valid idea people won't usually listen and even at times end up using your idea anyway once its mentioned by someone with a more charismatic personality type. at least thats my experience as an INTJ.
The best I’ve managed at work is to just tell people small predictions and then prepare openly for it, let them see it come true and after a while my managers usually let me do what I like (if they can cover me on it) because even if they don’t get it they know it’ll make sense later.
Me ISTP: I wish I could freeze the time whenever I want. In that period of time, I could do whatever I enjoy all alone. Focus on my curiosity and try things out. Nobody will interrupt me. I will not be forced or asked to do things which I have to do just because I'm living among a group of people. Within that period of time, I could finally truly enjoy my own freedom!
The unpredictability in life is what gives it an entertaining aspect. To freeze time is great and all. You can accomplish feats that would otherwise take years in a normal person's lifetime in an instant to them. I could see the amusement you could gain from it, but I feel as though it would be short-lived. You still have to put the same amount of effort into things anyways. The only thing it does is shock other people when you "get something done quickly" when in reality you take "your own time" on it. So to live life in real-time and enjoying the now sounds better to me. The ability to control objects on the other hand is overall more useful in real-time as well. My opinion as a fellow istp🤷♂️
@@dexterlevan2867 The thing is not that we ISTPs want to surprise people by doing something fast, but to have unlimited time to pursue our interests without interruption! Putting effort into it is not something we have to do, but the whole point of it. We want to do things well BECAUSE WE CAN. And the only things limiting us are time constraints and other people.
I'm glad INFP is teleportation, when asked what superpower I'd want my answer is dimensional teleportation so I can physically go to any crafted world I can imagine! Most people say INFP is invisibility which is super boring to me- because I've already dealt with natural invisibility my entire life.
Well. My "superpower" brought me into depression at the start of pandemic. I just knew it would be harsh for many people, for lives, for their jobs. And I felt the world changing. Unable to do anthything. /INTJ
yeah. it’s hard when you know which changes are temporary and elastic, and which ones are watershed after which the world will change, and know people will suffer both from the events as well as additionally in their not understanding that there’s no going back.
Isn't it annoying when you make a friend in among us and you get disconnected 😭 They should really add a feature where you can add people as friends so you can play with them again 😪 I'll never forget you red 😔❤️
6:27 reminds of the part where I am thinking about what someone's going to say to me when I get home then they say the exact same thing I predicted word for word. It's that whole something bad happened but your happy because you expected correctly. -INTP
As an INTP, I always wanted to know how to read minds so noone could lie to me and I would know how to talk to people so I can be more likable or I would know who is just trying to use me or something haha.
Would be interesting to see what interests are common among the different personality types. If there was a poll asking for eksample "Are you a gamer?" or "Do you like woodworking?", then the answering options would be the personality types. So if your answer to the question is yes, you would select your personality type.
I'm glad Nathan brought up isfps and sports!!. I know plenty of isfps that are into it. My current roomate is an isfp and she loves any sports with a ball. She's also quite athletic.
Actually, the ISFP super power that nobody talks about is j their uncanny ability to read people just by looking at their face. I am not talking about having a vague idea about whether a person is nice or mean, but some in depth analysis of how smart they are, if they have a temper, if they are curious, etc. To me this is an ability that is hard to fathom but never ceases to amaze me.
agree. not sure by just looking at faces, but definitely after a brief interaction. the other power would be taking everything in stride in a gallant way - I would like to call it - "experience metabolizer"
Enfp here and I just wanna say the more stubborn you get the more fun it is to poke holes xD I love a challenge, my room mate is an ENTP and they are even worse xD that trollish urge to always argue from the side of opposition can really grate on nerves, especially as their blind cog function is Fi which makes them out of touch with their values, they give off vibes like: "let's just argue for the sake of arguing." Ughhh rant over Sorry Kill me pls 😂
@@RavenStrawman Haha, the poking holes in arguments rings so true for me Whenever I watch a movie I'm always complains about the plot holes like, that makes no sense, or why couldn't they just do this instead, and let EVERYONE LIVE HAPPILY p.s. but let's be real for a sec enfps only enjoy banter to satisfy their masochistic side LMFAO
As an infj I personally believe that I wish I did not have the power to read people's minds and predict their future actions because it does not allow me to live in the moment and enjoy every aspect of it or the person. It's always better not to know what someone is thinking or what they will do in the future. That is biggest reason why we suffer from over thinking.
In theory, the ENFJ would be ridiculously overpowered in this situation. If an ENFJ could get on a team with all of the other types, they would be able to use any and all of the powers. Furthermore, because the ENFJ is the most introverted of all of the extroverted types, they have fascinating inner lives. This means that if they can replay scenarios in their mind in which they were around a certain superpower, they could use that vibe to gain that power temporarily. (This isn’t biased but I can confirm because I am an ENFJ) Also, in a fight against a villain, the ENFJ could copy the villains power.
Yay, we are like Kakashi!! But seriously though, this 'power absorption' can be really OP. ENFJs tend to recognize their environment rather quickly and that in itself is powerful. But giving the tools that cause problems? Now that's OP. Fighting fire with fire.
6:04 Alternatively, we could also have *intuitive aptitude* like Sylar from 'Heroes'. If you take the time to get to know us personality, a lot of us are more like Hiro Nakamura. *^w^*
Wow. I'm impressed. I'm an INFP. Not only do I frequently talk about the vastness of inner worlds and how much I love living in mine, the magical super power I would choose if I could is teleportation. As a child I used to say I just really want to be able to appear and disappear at will.
Different forms of intelligence exist though too so don't stress yourself out too much about it. For example I have a lower intelligence than my INFJ, and INFP friends but I'm better at most forms of math then both of them. So yeah point is, even if your intelligence is only average you could still better at something than someone else who has a considerable bit more than you. (I'm also an INTP btw)
IQ is great at generating ideas and possibilities. That however doesn't mean that those ideas are good, nor that the person can sort out the garbage ones. In order to make the right decision, knowledge and experience are much more valuable. -INTJ
As an INFJ who has gradually been developing telepathy over the last two years, you hit it spot on. I'm also writing an INFJ character who has those exact powers. On a rather nefarious note, I can easily manipulate people in small ways. Best example is asking for something and giving a reasonable reason for it. A reason that is slightly true, but is mostly to hide my true motive. No one suspects a thing. Yes, I am a good person, but watch out if you do me or people I love wrong. You won't see me coming until it's too late...
ENFP here - Loool “If you are looking for a Droid, don’t ask an ENFP” 😅😅😂 This reminds me of the character “Mother” in the Netflix series “Mars”. Thank you very much Nathan! This is one of the nicest compliments I get from an INTP hehe! Xx
I think inner world creation and manipulation would be more suitable for the infp. You might want to look up what this power is about for more information. I'm sure you guys will find it to be interesting.
Me going into this: it'd be cool for INFJ to be mind control. Sure, it gets a bad rep but can be used to encourage and motivate people when put to good use Also me: Nah, it's probably gonna be future telling The video:
I know that INFJ and ENFP are basically each other's subconcious, but I didn't really understand the difference between Telepathy/Mind Control and Jedi Mind Trick/Persuation? Is it that one is more subtle while the other is more direct?
I think that mind control is "forced", while persuasion is "subtle". Like when someone is mind-controlled they're always "in a trance" or doing something their body didn't want to (is that a right word?). Meanwhile, persuasion is a kind word to manipulation. Slowly forging words that will make your victims will fall for you without using much force.
INFJs is future based. They will mold the reality for the other person so that they start taking a different direction. I think ENFP is more in the moment
@@nicholasjh1 Yes, i can see that. It's like INFJs are changing the direction of the "dominoes" that represents the future of the person. Not so much in the moment, but like an Inception; a deeper change with more future long term effects. Thanks for clarifying. :)
@@4rs0ngrr40 Yes that's also how i picture mind control. The thing is that Nathan's said on several occasions that INFJs are "subtle", so I was wondering why they didn't have "Jedi mind trick/ persuasion". But i think i get it now. ENFPs can convince someone in the moment, because they're charming and just fountains of ideas, it's like "the ENFP said this is true, who are you to say otherwise?" While I think INFJs are less persuasive in the Moment, and more changing tiny aspects of your worldview so that the long term effects and consequences are that you start thinking differently. Maybe? Like the film Inception, INFJs are planting small ideas that can massively change your view on things.
Yeah, Intelligence is not a personality type. It's a natural skill that, honestly, you can't develop. You can be smart and gather knowledge, but not be intelligent. You can still use Ti, but you'll analyze things wrong, lol.
@@serulu3490 yes its very frustrating, specially in tests with time limit at which I can get stuck for a long time in a single question pondering which choice is the correct.

INTJ specializes pattern and imagination. Predicting future becomes our advantage and if dom Ni and inf Se interacts well you can solve/or get prepare a potential problem before it occurs.
ENFJ here. I was surprised because I thought it would be mind reading for us, but then it came up for INFJs (which also makes sense). But after watching the video I actually agree with Power Absorption, we already absorb people's feelings and energy, so it would just be an extension to that. Very clever my dude.
I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING but when nathan explain the power absorption my mind instantly went to when I was at school and I'd also do things my friends do but somehow I improve much faster than them and they said they want to hide whatever they're working on/improving on so I won't take it from them😭😭😭😭 I feelllttt soooo sorry but at the same time I was just also having fun!!! I truthfully hate competition so doing or improving skillss with friends is sooooo fun to me
My mom (estj, I think, but definitely Te>Fi) always asked me to help make decisions involving how to word things and what to do when it came to people’s emotions. I always thought I was an intp, but infj is a possibility. It’s also possible that no matter where my Fe is, it’s better at empathy than her Te/Fi. I’m not so sure where I was going with this. All I think I know is that I have Ti and Fe, and N>S.
A little tip when making videos that contain all the sixteen types: always put INTPs near the end. Since the vast majority of your viewers are INTP and since we are egotistical creatures, I think it'd be wise from a watch-time standpoint to put them closer to the end like you did in this video.
Thank you for encouraging the creator of the video and others to put INTPS at the back. This saves me a lot of time. When I search for my type, I always correctly start from the back. 😉
As a Infp, Teleportation has been my #1 Wanted Super Power, just the thought of being able to be wherever just sounds like paradise to me😫 though the thought of never knowing if im actually living in the same reality before i teleported might mess me up🤔
I think Entj should have control over time, suiting for the power they want to possess or imagined, I personally am also an Entj and the thought of being able to stop time would be amazing and would lead me to be able to do so many things I could think of in certain moments, plus stopping time could give Entjs enough planning time to come up with an occurrence to play out and it would all happen in a blink of an eye
Not having to sleep and being able to be on the go constantly sounds amazing. I could still chill with video games to “rest.” I’d love that super power. -ESFP
As an ENTJ/INTJ I would definitely say those are the best powers there. Very accurate. It sucks that I'm a procrastinator though. Next video idea: What to do during the Purge of the 16 personalities.
Personally I always thought that the best power of all is shapeshifting (general shapeshifting, not btw two forms only). If you’re a shapeshifter you can change everything in your body, and by changing your dna then you can get other superpowers. It wouldn’t be an easy feat at all as you would have to have an enormous knowledge of the human body, biology, superpowers etc. And applying it would be (maybe, since I don’t have this superpower I can’t say with certainty 😉) even harder imagine having to transform your whole dna code... Anyway, just something to think about.

My ESTP mother always wants to have telekinesis so that she can throw things (or people) in a glance. I think ESTP's superpower would be more action oriented. Impenetrable skin is too defensive for ESTP. I agree with INTJ. I've always thought Nobita missed his chance to be rich by using Doraemon's time machine (more) to his advantage
As an INFP I thought we would get mind/image projection. Kinda like mind control but placing ppl in a desired mental state or place. Be it a real place or made up. Teleportation is good too. Useful for us since we have no sense of time and would allow us to get there on time. Maybe. Also for running away to our safe places or getting our awkward situations. Not to mention it would help our Ne by allowing us to explore the world. So yes I agree on TP too.

If I could choose my superpower, I'd probably go with shapeshifting because the endless possibilities and experiences you could do with something that would be so cool and would feed into my craving to explore my thoughts on the outside for once :0

Indeed. usually because we are the weird ones in the corner so even if we have a valid idea people won't usually listen and even at times end up using your idea anyway once its mentioned by someone with a more charismatic personality type. at least thats my experience as an INTJ.
Would be interesting to see what interests are common among the different personality types.

It sucks that I am an intp with just average intelligence.. like I fit all the things except the super intelligence part 😭
Xx

@@TheGamblermusic Maybe not yet, but one day.
@@nicholasjh1
Yes, i can see that. It's like INFJs are changing the direction of the "dominoes" that represents the future of the person. Not so much in the moment, but like an Inception; a deeper change with more future long term effects.
Thanks for clarifying. :)
@@4rs0ngrr40
Yes that's also how i picture mind control. The thing is that Nathan's said on several occasions that INFJs are "subtle", so I was wondering why they didn't have "Jedi mind trick/ persuasion".
But i think i get it now.
ENFPs can convince someone in the moment, because they're charming and just fountains of ideas, it's like "the ENFP said this is true, who are you to say otherwise?"
While I think INFJs are less persuasive in the Moment, and more changing tiny aspects of your worldview so that the long term effects and consequences are that you start thinking differently.
Maybe?
Like the film Inception, INFJs are planting small ideas that can massively change your view on things.

but when nathan explain the power absorption my mind instantly went to when I was at school and I'd also do things my friends do but somehow I improve much faster than them and they said they want to hide whatever they're working on/improving on so I won't take it from them😭😭😭😭 I feelllttt soooo sorry but at the same time I was just also having fun!!!
That ESTP you mention was only playing at being thin-skinned for the audience's sake. lol!😂😂
I really thought infp was gonna be invisibility
-ESFP
I’m an ESFP too XD

I recently joined and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing lol. A great server though! Clever people in it.
Just because you acknowledged how annoying notifications are, I rang the bell. Cheers!
Yes to the mind/image projection! I do feel as though that is the vibe you guys give off without knowing. - INFJ
I like that you put the labels on the screen as you talk about each type.
7:18 hahaha! Funny you choose that! As kid I always imegine being something like Dr. Strange! I always dreamed to be able to do that🦸🏼♀️
I don't know why but INFP and Invisibility made more sense in my head
Me, a dumb INTP: qwhy am I hear
I feel you and I'm not an intp
Intelligence can't be quantified it is instead distributed among skill capacity pretty sure you excell in something you just don't recognize i.e an inherited habit ~ a fellow INTP
@@fjmj754 intelligence is a fixed predispositions best on the innate juncture known as the G factor of one 's experience maybe even natural acquisition further subdivided into crystalized intellect and fluid intellect what your talking about is creativity and talent which in the sense is mostly attributed to ones ability to manipulate a given activity or in the case talent and virtuosity in the sense of plasticity or one s ability to learn it 🍘 infp
Same bro
@@mitsaoriginal8630 the average person uses about 6000 different words but you use all of them 😂🥴
Jedi Mind Tricks, because ENFPs have good taste in hip hop
waittt a minute! how do you knowww
As an ISTJ a power I would love to have is some form of manipulation of time, especially slowing or stopping it, going back in time would be pretty neat too. There's just so much to do and so little time and so many mistakes made that you can't go back to, having control on those clock hands would be amazing.
me too
Loved this, sharing with my ESFJ spouse, INFJ/ENFJ twin sons. (INFP here)
I love the ENFP one. Persuasion as a superpower is heavily underrated
Ikr, we could literally rule the world with that >:3
i agree with the infp power but i would prefer portals cuz the thought of me teleporting somewhere that might kill me instantly gives me anxiety portals you can see where your headed .
INTJ: I'm not sure if there's a word for this, but I always wanted to be able to recall perfectly anything I've ever read. I would read non-fiction non-stop. I guess it's like super intelligence but I want to find the knowledge myself. It's so frustrating to dive into something interesting and then when I go to tell someone about it, I actually can't properly describe any of what I just read.
Yes!! I automatically store what I learned as its component abstract concepts rather than verbatim. I prefer it if I have to choose but would be great to have both!
