Hey all. After reviewing the Reddit AMA and looking through Atlasloot in Classic, I've found that, actually, the original version of this guide (ruclips.net/video/mdMfsjeVINE/видео.html) WILL be more accurate after all. As such, a combination of the quest items listed here and the drops listed there will be more effective in gearing up fast. With my attention currently focused on actually playing Classic, I won't be making an updated guide for any particular phase. However, I WILL now try to make general "Get Geared Fast" guides for each class's most viable spec for Phases 2-4 going forward. Cheers all and hope you enjoy the vid anyway! ^_^
Mooncloth items not really worth imo. They are marginally better than the dungeon sets and by the time you convert enough felcloth to make a full set, you could just run dungeons to get similar items. Good mention of the runecloth though; it is one of the cheapest, easiest ways to get your int/spirit up at a leveling priest. +heal and Int work off of each other, and you want both. Trindlehaven Staff is actually better than 51 flat heal with no stats if you crunch the numbers. You really need the BRD Royal Scepter off-hand for the hammer to beat out Trindlehaven or Guiding, the flat heal alone doesn't do it. That said, this is nit-picking and any of the three is good enough and close in raw healing potential (damn near equal). My only point here was not to get tunnel-vision on +heal, especially if you are concerned with "gearing your priest faster". Another example is Cassandra's Grace. The price is going to be jacked up on the AH, and good luck finding one yourself. Yet something like Postmaster's Band is also damn near equivalent simply due to the high Int. I don't find it worth to drop the gold on it. Though still should check the AH once and a while, sometimes people put up items dirt cheap without realizing their worth. I hope that doesn't come across as contentious. I actually liked that you made an amended video, and it is not a bad video at all. It is just that I've done the healer gearing up thing a few times now and perfect BiS has always been way overkill for MC for healers. It doesn't matter if we end a fight at 54% mana or 48% mana, anything above minimum is just convenience. Only adding a slightly different angle and suggesting that competitive "good enough" can be worth if you don't want to drop the gold on the AH, or bad RNG isn't giving you the drop you want. Why run BRD a billion more times to get the hammer/scepter combo when it is just going to be replaced by Benny? (All that said, definitely invest into Truefaith Vestments if you can. Totally worth. It could potentially be halfway through phase 3 before you can replace it)
Doesn’t seem contentious to me (: have you only healed on priests before? I heal in retail and don’t really like priests but they seem like the best healing choice by far...
@@mbabaneamputee7725 I've played Druid as well. Druids are... good, but extremely niche. Basically they excel at healing one or two main tanks, but are handicapped at everything else. (I actually plan on making a druid alt, as they are a lot of fun to play in everything up to raiding) I initially didn't like priest way back in 2005. The holy church thing didn't appeal to me. Though the class has grown on me over the years and it is my favorite class. They are the jack-of-all-trades healer. They have flash heals, but not as mana efficient as pally flash heals. They have AoE heals but no smart target spamming like shaman chain heals. They have heal-over-time and emergency heals (well, pw: shield, which is an instant temporary health boost) but not as good as druid's swiftmend and nature's swiftness. Normally, being jack-of-all-trades isn't that good but for the role of healing it actually is. This makes you viable in any healing situation, because you have the tools available for every healing situation. Yeah, it isn't quite as mana efficient, but just hoard mana potions to compensate. Other healing classes are technically stronger in specific areas, but I'd say priests are overall the best healers in that you can stick them in any healing situation and they'll perform well. That said, if you really don't like priest, both pally/shaman are heavily desired in vanilla/classic. They bring buffs along with their heals and people always want more shaman/pally.
The epic tailor chest is best in slot far past bwl, for raid healing. Combine your own mooncloth cd and purchasing it, you will casually be able to create it in under 1 month.
Rise of the Machines also has a cool lore tidbit where they reveal that Golem Lord Arglemach is basically Dwarven Doctor Doom with ultra-realisitic robotic replacements. Dark Iron Doombots of a sort.
Excellent video, I was baffled by the crazy BiS lists out there... Well the drop rates 😛 Do you plan to make vids for each phases? Keep up the good work 👍
i don't comment to much on you tube but i agree with the other comments that this was a very usefull video for ppl who are not gonna raid but still can find the time to do dungeons. Thanks alot keep up the good work :D
Hey just one thing I wanted to mention. Isn’t the mantle of lost hope (shoulders) off of Lord Roccor in BRD far better shoulders than the ones of Gerstahn? Lost Hope: 11int, 26 healing, 3mp5 vs Kinetic: 13int, 6 spirit, 14heal/damage
omg someone screwed with you. the 1.4 items (animated chain necklace, crimson felt hat, burial shawl) are all present on release. only 1.10 items and Dire Maul items will not be part of phase 1 dungeon loot table
Thanks for the concern. Do you know where/when Blizzard confirmed that. The last post on the topic I saw from Blizz stated that items would release in the phase associated with their initial patch release - hence why I put so much effort into only including items from 1.1-1.2
"That said, none of those drop-table changes occur between Phase 1 and 2. They’re all in later phases. So yes, Bindings can drop in Phase 1. Good luck getting both of them. (I’m still missing one…)" while we're at it
I wonder how I can calculate all these "healing power" and "damage done" and even "attack power" compared to something like intellect, strenght and agility.
Great video! Just one question, you did mention only few parts from dungeon set. Does it mean, that other parts are not as good as non set parts you mentioned in the video? For example gloves, the gloves from set have better stats then Hands of the Exalted Herald, but they lack increased dmg/heal. Is there any conversion between these stats?
They're definitely ok, but not worth tracking down all the pieces just to get raid ready. That being said, if you think you have enough +healing, the devout gloves could be a good item to pick up - especially if they're in the ah for cheap. I wouldn't try running Strat Live just for them though ;)
Bit sooner than expected and I'm a bit swamped with work atm (as well as TRYING to get to 60), but I'll probably add DM loot to the original written version, as well as put a pinned comment later on.
It’s funny I watched the original a couple days and was pretty sure the crimson felt hat was not going to be available phase 1, but wasn’t confident enough to comment and say your guide was wrong
I have a general caster guide, though I probably won't get a chance to do any more specific classes before launch. Working on a new project atm, then will most likely start phase 2 guides.
You see to have forgotten the ring you get from the Saving princess questline in BRD. +9int +4 spirit +18 damage and healing. Which im not sure how you forgot considering you have to complete the quest inorder to even loot the BiS gloves you list.
Working on warlock/shadow priest next. Might do frost mage after to save time (lots of the same items). Keep an eye out over on my blog too since written guides are made first ;)
Perfect video. Love your voice, the speed of the video and the chill background music.
^_^ Glad you enjoyed it!
I came here for Spirit of Aquementas, was not disappointed. Great vid!
It's awesome ;)

Stellar guide man, definitly gonna use it during my gearing phase ;)
This is a brilliant brilliant guide mate, thank you.

Fantastic video, thanks so much for putting this together.
You're welcome! ^_^
Thanks my dude! This will be super useful.
Great guide. Keep up the good work.
I would also look at Quintis' Research Gloves from the The Mystery of Morrowgrain quest in Feathermoon Stronghold.
Just found your blog post on this last night before finding this vid .. you are a beast !
Thanks! ^_^
Excellent video, I was baffled by the crazy BiS lists out there... Well the drop rates 😛 Do you plan to make vids for each phases? Keep up the good work 👍
Spritecaster can also drop off of Interrogator, it may be because it's the early loot tables.
Noted with thanks. ^_^
I will try to follow this video
Excellent guide!

Thank you! Really helpful

Mooncloth gear, really?? Those items are super expensive and easily replaced :O
Yeah, but it's something if nothing else - especially if you're limited in your dungeon runs.
Thanks for the guide. It was awesome. I’m hoping of eventually getting my dream weapon (benediction)

Yes, but it's unavailable until Phase 5 as far as I'm still aware.
@@SilviteSoltis oh then I guess my atlasloot addon is giving me bad information. Been hoping that would drop on various BRD runs
Try updating it. I had a similar issue a few weeks back. Around the time DM was released I think.

Samochan agreed
Helpful video! I simply can’t decide between warrior tank and holy priest...
Priest is a lot easier to level and there won't be 700million of them running around ;)
But I'm biased :P
@@SilviteSoltis Well, in all recent surveys I've seen, priest is like the 2nd/3rd most popular class, so you definitly gonna see them runnin' around

Not sure if it has been mentioned but princess's loot only can be seen after the quest.
Brd
Great video! Playing a Troll Priest still makes you a weirdo, though.
STAY AWAY FROM DA VOODOO!
Very useful well done.
i have two priests. holy and shadow. thank you
hey mate; with the announcement of phase 2 - are you going to update this?
