Another great guide Hakurai...POOP! The Sorceress is wickedly interesting and as you said, unique. I'm playing my first toon now, a Valkyrie. I like her. I think the most trying thing about this game is learning one's abilities and using them correctly. Your guides really help with that. I"m going to give the Sorceress a try, even if I blow goats at it. She's just too interesting to pass up. Thanks again...POOP!
Sorcery main here. Best way to play her is NOT ranged. Sorcery simply gets out DPS'ed by other ranged classes (Wizard and Ranger) because of the long cooldowns on her damaging ranged abilities, which are pretty much just Black Wave, Dream of Doom, Shard Explosion, and maybe Shadow Eruption (pretty short range). Her other ranged abilities don't do much damage. Those aforementioned abilities do a crap ton of burst, so they are welcome additions to her kit, but if you're Sorc and you play like a Ranger, you will be outclassed when it comes to raw damage. You also do NOT want to play her as strictly a melee class- she is VERY squishy with no block mechanic. Her damage mitigation is dodging it all together using Teleports, Rolls, and even gap closers to avoid taking damage. The absolute best way to play Sorcery, to have the greatest return on your Combat Skill Points, mana, and combo inputs, is to find the right balance of melee and ranged. Personally, I play at about 60% melee, 40% ranged in my attacks-- and example scenario is go in with gap closer, proceed to melee burst (ex: S + LMB x 2-3 > Dark Flame), prepare for enemy attack, dodge behind enemy/mob (carefully), spray with Black Wave (I LOVE BACK ATTACKING), hit them with another Dark Flame / Shadow Eruption. That's just ONE combo you can do-- Sorcery is all about combos- gosh there are so many..pretty much an endless list of possible combos. So, weave your ENTIRE kit together, while bobbing and weaving in battle (always max evasion passive!), keeping an eye out for tiny windows of opportunity to strike and to land massive damage. Oh, and word of advice...ALWAYS KEEP TRACK OF YOUR SHARDS!!! Shard management is king.

what is the skill called at 0:29 and 10:31. It has a short casting time and after that black stuff flies out of your hands in the air and lands all around you exploding. Btw cool guide :D
didnt see any comment on it, and you didnt say it but dark flame l provides the sorc with a frontal shield. this is huge and shouldn't be skipped lol. also, awakening provides a blocking "stance" with the scythe and makes it hell more nice to me. I already enjoyed the sorc since release in kr but this... this is insane haha. getting a scythe *-* still hesitating between sorc and ninja tho
+hakurai Blood Calamity can be cast mid teleport (Night Crow) by pressing space bar but it won't use black spirit rage your videos are very good and i like them =)
You forgot to say that the ultimate component of Dark Flame add a front block effect to the sorceress (during the whole animation) that is VERY important to master.
best class imo and immo best way to play her is hybrid...there are melee skills u dont wanna skip but also ranged ones, and i find maxing the basic attacks, even for restoring mp, is not worth while...the dmg is a joke and the skillpoint cost way over the roof...even if she can have mana problems if u manage ur abilities and use ur shards to replenish mana it works also i find some mana auto restore is very useful on her, only on 1 part of equipment tho, max 2 parts because its essentially not a direct dmg or defense boost, more like utility and to not skip some good dmg stats on equipment it shouldn be overdone...20 mana every 10 seconds is much underestimated, walk around a bit and it restores much, even if ur powerfarming it helps...some skills dont use anything and some are cheaper than others....u just shouldnt spam the expensive ones and kite enemies together or position urself well then u can aoe many enemies at once to max mana-efficiency thats how i take this class at least...learn to manage mana + shards/fragments = win

+Fleek you never need 4000$ for a good PC. Dont buy from Alienware, preferably build it yourself. A good intel i5, 8GB RAM, and a gtx970 is all you need for a good computer that will last a while and should cost around 800$

It'll work, but we play by our own terms usually. I havn't played bdo yet, but I'm no stranger to pvp in mmos (I was an Aion Online Vet player, and that was 100versus100 man pvp content at its prime.) We learned quickly, don't rely on guides all the time. Guides can get you in there, but your playstyle can determine alot of how fights will work. Aka, Take the Valkyrie class for example. A normal playstyle would be to play her as a damage/tank - but I could see some people who want to pulling her as a support/tank. She has a kit that could support it, and a few of my loyal old ex-guildmates are already biting their lips in expectation. (As this game does not have a hardcore support class, its quite fun to see old support mains freaking out over who to play.) If you can't find anything posted, you could try asking around in game as well. :# good luck.

They said it would take the same amount of time to make a male/female counterpart to an already existing class as it would to make an entirely new class. They'd rather focus on new classes, but they're open to making something similar to sorc, kinda how warrior/valkyrie is

These game have too many actions/skills. They need to minimize the available skills used for combat. If a character has a gun, that gun does one thing, shoot a projectile. Arros might be different yet classes that have 20 different attacks is just crazy. I thought games were driffting away from all the massive lines of actions.
+R A Caliolo No, no they don't not need to casualize the game then it would boring, this is also suppose to be the hardest class in the game. Play Giant or Wizard/witch if you want a simple to play class. Not every class in BDO is going to or needs to fit your personal playstyle.

why are you lvl 50 but your "armour" looks like lvl 1?

+R A Caliolo No, no they don't not need to casualize the game then it would boring, this is also suppose to be the hardest class in the game. Play Giant or Wizard/witch if you want a simple to play class. Not every class in BDO is going to or needs to fit your personal playstyle.
