The bears starting off the season right was a good sign. The reason why is because a team is only as strong as their weakest links. If they couldn't match up against the backups of a team albeit they go up against their starters everyday in training camp, then that's something to worry about: either their attitude is not right or they were facing someone stronger than their used to facing everyday.
Also, they were able to identify some strong connections, and players during that time to potentially move up the depth chart. Its fun to see if they can find anymore hidden gems on the team before they start the season.
Its more fun to see chicago winning. Sometimes I wonder what's the point in caring if they don't affect you personally. It gives you something to root for, develops a bit of community;
Well apparently they don't think to highly of Rypien because they "solved" the problem months ago by hiring a veteran (retired) QB to coach and mentor Williams. Say what you will, but everyone is jumping on the Rypien train and talking about how he outshined Bagent. But what people aren't taking into account is that Bagent was only allowed one series of downs and almost all of those were designed run plays. It was as if they were looking more at the two running-backs than they were at Bagent whereas Rypien played almost the entire game and had a ton of chances to throw. Also, Rypien was playing against 2nd and 3rd string players and bad players can make bad players look good. The playing time between the backup QB's was totally unfair. And I guess it didn't hurt for Rypien to have one of the coaches as a friend either. And no, I'm neither friend nor family to Tyson Bagent.
The bears are playing an extra preseason game due to the hall of fame weekend. We can’t take much into account as far as what playing time means for the regular season, right? We can be super happy about outstanding performances though as it might affect the depth chart on the back end. I love that Rypien looked great - but also… Bagent is the backup and he’s earned it against top competition. His spot is secure.
I don't know why you are scoffing the thought that Brett Rypien is not a guy. I saw him go out there and simply produce with confidence. We will see plenty more of Bagent and Rypien, but if the HOF game performances continue, Bears are likely to cut Bagent in favor of Rypien. I'm very okay with that. Too many Bears fans are in love with the story of Bagent... I am not. Rypien showed us that he deserves the QB2 spot. We will see more over the next 3 weeks. I don't think Bagent is up to the task.
The Caleb promotion racialism is off the charts here. He didn't play a single down in the game, but the media hyped him up before, during, and after... As if he played and dominated. The winning QB wasn't even mentioned. What color was that guy again?😅😅😅
We did love Justin but I can almost guess when the General decided it was Caleb Williams. When we lost to Cleveland. That's all the way bad and also of course losing to the Packers twice😢. But I've watched Caleb get better every year and he's catching up to the NFL speed!!! 🐻👇🏿
Thanks Shawn...BEAR DOWN!

Hi Shawn! Ryan Griffin is definitely under the radar. No one has spoken about it!
Great info and video. 🐻 ⬇️!!!
Thanks, friend really appreciate that. Glad Caleb is getting what he needs. Hope it’s enough!
Thanks for the encouragement!

Don’t look now, but Justin Fields is balling out in Steelers camp. Fields blows up in Pittsburgh will look very bad for Poles and the Bears.
As long as Caleb is as advertised, I’m good! Wish Fields well - he deserves to find success. 🐻⬇️
@@SportsTalkBears1 trading JF for Williams and JF turns into a top QB as well is a loss, unless Williams is a HOF type QB.
He was called the RED ROCKET!!! LOL 🤣
Lol I got it wrong on purpose just because I just can’t stand him lol
It was Red Rifle. Red Rocket is a derogatory term for dogs getting excited…. 😊
@@NikkiDickson-ui9ix haha thx for setting it straight. I’m not a fan.

Rooting for him!

Hopefully neither bagent nor Rypien will need to actually play much
