BMW G 310 GS Review - First Ride

- G 310 GS is the smallest BMW GS in history. Designed by BMW in Munich, but built in India by TVS, it marks a new chapter in BMW’s timeline. The first under 500 cc platform and the first motorcycle built for the world market.
The new G310GS is marketed at the same as a luxury machine in Asia and Brazil, and as an entry-level, A2 category bike in Europe.
We attended the BMW G310GS International Press Launch in Barcelona and had the opportunity to test the bike on the beautiful roads of Catalunya. Here’s our first impression.

Good introduction/review as always, this channel deserve more subscriptions.
Thanks you for this review, it was to the point and covered everything. Good job!
Good review guys, keep the videos rolling.
Good as always!
Nice video, well thought out comments that prospective buyers would be asking.
That sounds really fun!
Very good review, Best since I sat on the bike In Long Beach California November 2016. Seen very little about the bike on the internet and less about off road riding. I have ridden the Versys X 300 and worry if it can handle bumpy off roads without breaking. Again Thanks for the review - do another with 15 minutes including off road on trails with higher (extended) handlebars!
Hello guys from Romania. You make very good and plain honest reviews. Thanks from Holland
Thanks for watching!
Cool review DriveMag Riders! Does it come with a center stand or is it a add-on accessory?
Thk you.
Thank you. This is a very good review of the new 2018 BMW G310GS. The first video (that I've found) that wasn't just music and a guy riding with absolutely no commentary about the bike. You said one thing that I am very happy to hear; seat height options. I've sat on and actual rode the G310R and its seat height of 30.9 is fine for me at 5.9" tall. I knew that the GS version comes with a 32.x seat height which I would not feel comfortable with as a beginner rider. So you're saying there will be options that is awesome to know. Again, over all a good review. Thanks for posting. Cheers!
Yeah, it will feature an optional low seat
After my post I did a little research and as it stands; BMW actually considers a low seat height to be 32.x" (820mm), which was the only seat height I knew of for that bike from day one. So for me personally it's still too tall of a bike. I must say I am shocked by that finding as the F700GS has a low seat height option and so does their F800 both of which I can flat foot.
It's made in India but not by TVS but by BMW motorrad only.. and most parts and engine is from Germany and assembled here in India
I like the concept of the bike but spoked wheels would be better for off road.
Maybe latter BMW will make a more adventure model like they did with the bigger GS models , I think many bikes now are more form over function, they look the part but in reality can not do the part.
Where is the real windshield so that you can ride it in rain and cold weather without suffering?
Like this Bike.
I wish you could have shown us your sitting position on this bike to get a hint of the sitting on this bike, which is also a parameter of a touring bike. But overall a good review.
This Baby 310 GS is manufactured in India by TVS motors for the world market not yet launched in India.India gets the new TVS Apache 310RTR first based on the 310 GS..
The front fork positioning looks a bit weird i guess.
Dableuu, love Spanish accent
Single cylinder yet awesome, more comfortable but the problem is overpriced but fun and comfortable is guaranteed with every roads
Like the comment if you want BMW to launch this bike in India :)
It will be launching in India :)
Already planned to be launched in India during second half of 2018 to be made by TVS..
BMW want to break the record of Mojo launch delay 😂
Yes please T.T
Barca
For a beginner enter to bigger CC bike, the size (height and weight) is just as comfortable. The brand BMW also playing important part of decision. GS closer or equivalent should be Versys 250/300, with the price different of 25% higher. What would you buy Versys or Baby GS?
Didn't ride the small Versys yet.
Eric Lim Versys geared way high for Street. Not good.
What is the jacket that you are wearing?
Clover Crossover 3
interesting little beemer
What is wrong if its built in India, wake up bro...
For me the main question is: For the price, if it was an entirely TVS project, how would you review this bike? With the "same eyes" or the brand makes difference to you guys?
Of course, with the same eyes. Really.
You are better off with a Zontes 310. Bigger fuel tank, built almost in the same place and cheaper
Le prix
BMW doesnt know to make Bikes that riders on road & which travellers love.
Luggage plus passenger? You will need an other bike
bmwgs300 top speed 144 km
Top speed?
140 km/h.
DriveMag Riders official or real?.
I managed 135 km/h on the highway, according to the dash.
Real?
That's what the dash said.
whats your height sir
1,74m
DriveMag Riders thank u sir. actually i was planning to buy bmw f 750 or tiger 800 xrx.. i test ride them but i m not comfortable with these bike as my height is 1.72m. 😑😐
i will wait only 3to4 month or then i will buy ktm duke 390
A higher wind screen, and rear fender. And this bike will be more close to a touring bike.
Не верю
anyone else thinks about an Honda CRF250? xD
User TryItOut2 I ride a 800gs and I went to the dealership the other day. They had a 310r. I have not seen the GS, but considering price, cost of maintenance and reliability, yes I think a crf 250 is a better option.
User TryItOut2
User TryItOut2 I like CRF 250 L!!.
I wanted to say that the colors and the design reminds of of the Honda, and when I see that ugly cockpit and this small bmw logo it makes me feel sad :(
Kawasaki is best company as far as bikes are concerned.
Its made in india and still not available here😢
UFM Unidentified Flying Machin irony is that isn't been launched in India ! But in India it will be available in mid July hopefully!
At that price, with a single cylinder engine, when you can get the Versys 300 which is a much better bike on all aspects? Sorry BMW, too little, too late.
Stamatis Kritikos What's wrong about single cylinder?.
Juan Carlos González nothing really. But for bikes that promote fun/adventure riding the two cylinders are better (more relaxed, higher power, more rev range, less vibrations) especially when there is no weight penalty (175kg Versys 300, 170 310GS?)
Agree. Even KTM 390 offers more than BMW310!
Ninja300 or Versys300 is also a good option.
Arun Kottolli Is'nt same segment.
Stamatis Kritikos GS: inverted suspension, with more travel.
bmw g310gs OVERPRICE 🖓😳👎
TVS APACHE 310RR / AKULA.. VALUE DEAL..👏😉
Versys X-300 is a much better bike. Stay away from this BMW.
ugly slug
