I feel like this could be really amazing with some fleshing out. as it is right now, it looks like it would be too easy thanks to how easily the chain reactions come together
You can still lose very easily, the sand takes over more space as time goes on so being slow will make some chain rections impossible after the sand blocks them. Another thing is not knowing you can keep using the falling blocks as just falling blocks if you time it correctly.
If you manage to do drop them fast enough they can keep their shape for a moment; the strategy can expand into gaining a very large combo clearing move that negates the extra sand created by the last block you dropped. Think of it as getting more sand out of the way with very precise timing.
