Great review. Just spent the entire afternoon trying to decide on the best starter bins for stargazing. This video was extremely helpful and in the end was the clincher for this model. I purchased through the links provided. Thanks a lot.
Cool 😎 Beans, Using a ballhead genius! You were sounding like Carl Sagen right up to “thats a lot of sh*t” comment... Happy to see I am not the only one to use cutlery as tools! Please bring on the DIY Camera strap as soon as possible! Keep up the stellar work my friend!!!!!
Nikon Aculon A211 10X50 are the best affordable Binoculars available in the world. They are multicoated and provide way better quality than Olympus. These two might look identical on paper but they are very different while using. I've used both of them and I can assure you...Nikon is The clear Winner.
You should get commission by Oly for boosting the sales of this bino :) I used to have my dad's Russian BPC4 8x30 which was lost. The optics were very good and build quality was exceptional. I wanted to buy a new one didn't want to spend much, and the cheaper ones made by Nikon or Pentax are fine but not as good as the Baigish which was 30+ years old. The reason for not getting another Russian binoculars is that here in Australia I could not find them, and also don't want to risk buying online a fake. However, now after seeing your video I am definitely sold and buying one tomorrow. The optics are amazing, I don't care about weather proofing, so that will save me an extra 200 AUD. Thanks for the video!
I'm glad it was helpful. You can use my links if you would like to support the channel. :) BTW just wondering how you found the video. Did you search for best budget binocular or something like that?
I would've definitely supported you but unfortunately I live in Australia, it is bit of an issue with the postage cost and warranty :( I wanted to find the cheapest best binoculars, previously I had done some research I was also considering the Pentax and Nikon cheap versions. I was looking for reviews of the specific models and that's how your video showed up.
Yes, it has a very nice image quality. But 10x magnification is limited for astronomy use. I definitely enjoyed using it for the stars and moon, but I would like more magnification. Then again, is there ever enough magnification? If I could afford it I'd want the Hubble Space Telescope 😄
There's a little plastic cap on the front that says olympus on it. Unscrew it to reveal the tripod screw. Be aware that the tripod connection part can also be unscrewed. I tightened it nicely and it never came off.
Nitsan Simantov thank you for your attention. My binoculars cannot attached to a tripod i see. There isn’t any mouth for it. Though our binoculars are same (10X50 dps I), mine is different in that way. But thank you anyway. :)
Thanks for this thorough review. I bought mine 2 cyz of your beautiful review. But i cant find my tripod socket. Tried everything but it doesn't screw or open. And watching you easily open it made me questioned what is wrong with mine.
I solved this, open the binoculars wide, grip the Olympus disc with your thumb and index finger gently and unscrew it,(counter clockwise or lefty Loosely, Righty Tighty ha ha) doesn't take much effort
I have chosen binoculars over a telescope for basic astronomy as i have a small budget of £70. It was between these and the Celestron skymaster which are £18 dearer. I have been told you can see planets and rings of planets fairly well. Can someone confirm this before i buy?
Probably with a tripod, but they would be pretty small. Wouldn't be my choice for looking at planets. But I don't own any telescopes so I can't tell you the exact difference. Random idea, maybe sell some old crap on eBay and then buy some really nice £200 astronomy binoculars. I think I will do this.
I've not tried them myself. I see a 25x70 for around £80 on ebay, and 25x100 for around £250. I saw in a video about them that this size of binoculars might be too dark without access to skies that aren't light-polluted, but I don't haver personal experience with anything that big.
к сожалению..никаких дисков плвнет и тем более кольца Сатурна вы не увидите..купите телескоп, пусть недорогой , но даже там вы будете наверное разочарованы..
Mine was a "Custom-SLR" brand "C-Loop", plus some DIY strap material that I made for it. But any screw-in camera strap should fit I think, as long as it doesn't have a huge plate that won't fit between the lenses here.
Often these types of products are very hard to open. From my experience with opening lenses, if you don't have the right tools and information, you might just damage or ruin it. I don't have it in front of me but I'm guessing you'll need a tool to unscrew little rings that hold the glass in place. You might find it in a watch repair shop.
Like your review, and those binos. But if you don't believe in hunting, you should get rid of that cat. Cats live to hunt. Also, I hope you don't eat meat.
I don't let my cats out. It's dangerous for the cats and the critters they hunt. But getting rid of a cat is a bit ridiculous. And yes I'm vegan. Would be a bit silly to love animals and then pay people to stab them.
Hi brilliant video ,very much enjoyed it, can I ask you where you bought your strap fastener from please the link that fastens the strap to the binoculars please because I cant find one like yours, I live in the uk very best wishes Brian
Glad you liked it. It's called the C-loop. I added a link in the description. It's not cheap unfortunately. There are cheap screws on ebay (1/4" camera screw size, or 1/4" 20 teeth per inch if you're looking at non-camera screws) but they usually don't swivel. You could add a key ring swivel I guess. Overall both of these won't be as strong as the C-loop, but there are probably ones more than strong enough to hold some binoculars.
I just purchased this binoculars. It is a very, very good binoculars for the price. Good quality, good collimation, good construction.

Can you share its range?
Can i used them for terrestrial purpose or bird watching?
Yes the image is very clear and beautiful. :)

Do not find the link t o order the binoculars
I just bought this model ystd and thanks for your review cause the staff at the shop said i can't use it with tripod but now i see it can. 😉
Glad it was helpful :)
Is it suitable for 3D archery? I need to see the nock of my arrow on target.
As long as you're not shooting defenseless animals then yes I imagine it would be good for archery.

Okay thanks. I didn't have any in my local area, plus they were almost double the price.
Thanks for complete review of it. I am gonna buy it.
Is it better than Nikon Acculon 10*50?
I've not tried it sorry.
Thanks for your review. Does the anti reflective coating look blue or green? I have a similar one in which the coating looks green.
not sure sorry. I don't have it with me right now.

@@nitsan i bought appricate it :) it just perfect, better than i expected
this binoculars is really Good. i have one and its essentials. I use for bird watching and astronomy.
Hey! How to unscrew to mount tripod on this Olympus?
the cap just unscrews if i remember correctly.
Even I am not able to do it.
Is it possible to use this for stars and planets
Yes but 10x isn't a ton of magnification.
considering these at £50 vs Nikon Aculon A211 10x50 at £90... what would you go with?
I would love to know myself, but I didn't find the Nikon locally. I will try it when I get a chance.
Hi, does is it better as compared to 8-16x40 DPS l
I have not compared, sorry. Usually without zoom you may get better quality. And you definitely get a brighter image - 40mm vs 50mm front glass size.
@@nitsan thanku i got it
Thanks for the review. I just ordered a pair through your link. Hope it helps!
Thanks! :)
Is it good for plane spotting
I've never looked into that. I assume it should work.
Clarity 👍
Hi there. I just bougth that binoculars. I tried to connect a tripod to it but i couldn’t figure it out. Can you help me? Pleaaaaseee???
