People that are saying this is an old drill...well UGA just won 2 nattys...and also the D-line has been the best in the country for the last 3 yrs...and not to mention the Draft stock with 3 D-linemen going in the 1st round...GO DAWGS
That day two cut drill is a good example of sprawling. Wrestlers do well with this.. it’s crazy how techniques from other sports can crossover. Seems we are just now realizing it. My son wrestled and it helped with Baseball and Football, but baseball helped with his ability to throw in football. He loves basketball but none of it helped him from fucking fouling out. He was pretty rough around the edges with that.
Start by changing your user name into something more appropriate and respectful, young man. Work hard on and off the field, get good grades, learn the game, and be a competitor regardless of your size and weight.
lmao don't listen to this dude telling you to eat hamburgers you're probably trolling since you're a junior and you're 5'4 150 but if you're telling the truth then lift more and eat more, gain some weight in muscle and fat and get faster.
I'm going into my sophomore year now and im about the same weight and height but by how it sounds I imagine you have long arms use them to your advantage make sure you get off the ball aggressive and quick never run up the field make sure you squeeze to the play and break down to make your tackle its good to have a go to move but practice on your counter also and if you use a swim move make sure not to swim to high and most importantly stay low and make sure you dip your shoulder when coming off the edge against the offensive tackle like you should be grabing the grass with your shoulder low to the groud If you get what I mean
This year I am playing Defensive End, I am 6'5 with 222 to 225 pounds. I plan to up my weight to 234 to 249 pounds. I suggest you get between 195 and 205 pounds. Best way: do a lot of pushups, squats and lunges. Defensive Ends need an imposing and intimidating presence. Your job as a defensive end is to pressure the quarterback. It's not just speed, its strength and good technique with your hands.

Jeff McGrath Im so Thankful for u
Man, I played football but I have never played football. I was a bad player with bad coaches. Coaching Matters!
Awesome Coach's Excels. Thank you very much Great Georgia.

Great drills. thanks Coach!!
Does anyone know any alternatives to all the fancy equipment they have so I could do all the stuff at home in the off-season
Pillows
cones or random objects
You can strike a wall for the attack drills
A Tree
if you’re asking if your height or weight is good for dend, it doesn’t matter just play hard football and you’ll be good

Tongan Scyther 676 you should listen to your Coach
Whatever coach says. Don't be the "can I play this?" Guy. Your coach will put you in the position where he needs you the most.
I'm a hs junior and I want to play de for my team but I'm 5'4 and I weigh 150 should I do it or lose weight and play something different

@@sebastiansuarez8384 that's true man you have to be explosive and all of that does help thanks for the tips and good luck on your season
@@SRTJB thanks, good luck to you too.
@harrisoncrandell
That roach step thing is nonsense.
Man has people shooting head first 😭
head up, not head down. when ur head is down to the grass thats when it does damage. not eye to eye, or eye to chest.
This is not correct lol. I played at UGA and pro ball.
These techniques are outdated
Do you have a link to more updated techniques or are you just trolling? Honest question.
Layenem he's either kidding or really stupid. This is a d1 college football coach posted earlier this year
I can't stand that guy!
