After watching several times, I came up with the idea of a 12 x 12 photo book. I have many books that I made several years ago but it's hard to find large books. I went to our Goodwill store and found three photo books to start with, took out the plastic sleeves and sewed pockets of various sizes to fit the various sizes of digitals and papers that I have. They come with a white paper inside so I left it as my background and it helped for stability in sewing the pages. OMG! Even after filling only six pages it's so clear to see what I have rather than sorting through a file folder. Thank you for sharing the ephemera holder. So glad you enjoyed your trip to Florence!
Love watching you craft. In 1983 we lived in San Bernardino near a Catholic Church. They had their bells go off all the time. I miss it now. I don’t know if there is a new law that says the bells can’t go off but in those days they did. ❤️ love the things you made today.
Such a pleasure seeing everything laid out in your ephemera books. Accessible, pretty, useful - certainly a win all round. Have a lovely trip away. 🙂 Belinda xx
Hi Rachel! You are golden ✨️ 💛. Fantastic ephemera storage idea, that will be my next project. It's much better than rummaging through all my envelopes. Have a wonderful time in Florence with your family ❤. There is so much inspiration all around. I visited Florence in 1983 while vacationing near Livorno. Enjoy!! Carmen from the Maryland Eastern Shore ❤😊
Haha, I just had to stop and let you know that I'm sitting here in the dark at 3:58am watching you craft. It's so frustrating when you can't get back to sleep!!! 😆
Love these collage pieces. Wish we had bells ringing here in Colorado! Have a wonderful time in Florence, one of my favorites. I’m admiring my paper and fabric packages I received from you. Absolutely beautiful!
Hi Rachel 😊 Happy Anniversary to you both, have a wonderful time in Florence. Wow you have been very busy creating and sorting. Thankyou so much for all your inspiring videos💕
Congratulations on your anniversary Rachel, enjoy your trip! What a beautiful collection you have build, they look great displayed in these ephemera holders! Thanks for your videos, they are always the best start of my day!🍀💖Machteld
😳I don’t think I could be that organized. I did make 5 of the small vintage books for labels and the fussy cut stuff. I have a hard time finding the little things. The book I bought from you I can’t bring my self to cut it up.😊 happy anniversary lady bug, have a safe and wonderful time🤗🤗🤗
Just love Tuesdays! So relaxing to watch you create on the fly! Enjoy Florence! One of my favorite stops on my Italy trip! Thanks for always keeping me entertained and inspired! Love and hugs to you, Rach! ❤
You have the magic touch, Rachel. Everything you make looks amazing. I love the ephemera books that you've created too. Have a wonderful time in Florence. I fell in love with Italy when i visited in the 80's. Also, in the States some churches have bells and ring them and some don't. I'm guessing that depending on the neighbors, it's allowed in some areas. I'm in Southern California and i can think of a church in a neighboring city that rings them on the hour. I'm guessing they have to stop during the nighttime hours.
I googled the topic after Rachel mentioned that & it seems to be a big deal all over the world! Here in the states it looks like it's varying from place to place...depending on how the neighbors react, it seems.🙄🙂 It's such a beautiful sound to me!
I tried this, and used your newest labels on tall tags, love them! I’m making a large ephemera book like yours but I’m sewing plastic from bedding, it’s taking me a long time but I know I’m going to love it!
Oh as for the bells, I live in Pennsylvania and over where my doctors offices are, the church next door, their bells ring at noon. It’s just a small town on a small street. 🤗
Good morning. Went through my lace and material at 3 am. Could not sleep. I’m tired but up for some of your fun. Let’s go. Have a great day tomorrow in Florence.
I think neutrals are always needed. I would consider these tabs in that category. Oh I hear the bells. It’s rare to hear bells here. When I was younger our town let them ring. In fact the town’s big Municipal building had a clock and it struck every hour I believe until midnight being the last. So if I was on a date I had to be at my Aunt Emma’s house in town by the time that bell was ringing.
I had so much fun playing with my new Florentine paper and 1600s paper that arrived in the mail today. I worked on my Illuminated Botanicals ephemera and did a video to showcase the new items. I also remembered to do links to the paper so that others can experience them as well. I'm very tickled at myself for remembering to add the links. 😇Blessings! @theresaconway-hayes
beautiful work. I love those strips, forgotten how you did them. And the blue pattern on the envelope, wondering if it's in one of your kits....must go and look. Thanks for the inspiration!
Oh I love watching you crafting!❤ It lo8ks so easy and inspires me very much! The huge ephemera books areawesome! Do you have a tutorial of how to make them? Your designs are so unique and I always recognize your style. Thats what I love about junk journals...you can 7se the same stuff, but everyone vreates his own artpiece!
We have bells in the US. It kinda just depends on the Church. The older churches - I'm talking about Catholic Churches - have bells and they ring to let people know it's time for Mass. A lot of the newer churches mostly do not have bells, so they don't ring bells
Have a wonderful anniversary holiday ❤️. I so enjoy watching your videos. So relaxing.😊 Suffering in suddenly getting hot spring in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 😢
Happy Anniversary and enjoy your trip to Florence! I hope Mother Nature miraculously provides a cooler day with a glorious light breeze! (I'm not good in the heat either😉)❤
Hi Rachel, I just love those books. Could not find the channel you mentioned. Can you give a link? There are tons of crafty corners but found no wynet. I hope you'll have a great time in Florence and congratulations of course, enjoy. ❤❤❤
Like these tags -- with shapes, fonts, and textures in the forefront, rather than bright colors or animals or birds. Bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, the tintinnabulation of the bells, bells, bells --- I know that bells are rung in my area of the US--- don't know why there are places where bells are not allowed.
