This is just amazing!! Simply a very spectacular tank!! I just felt in love with your “Zoas Garden” also your coral garden varieties. Could you please share all zoas specimens displayed in this video? I love LPS corals and will like to research and aquire zoas into my tank. Your help and support is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!! 🙏
Good overview, Antonio. Here are some things that work for me. 1. Outside air line to air stone or skimmer. Simple and proven to work. 2. Kalk (calcium hydroxide) not in ATO for us peeps with seasons as the base alk/cal additive. Reactor or two-part can then be used to supplement your kalk dosing. You mentioned soda ash, but that’s sodium carbonate and is the alk component of two-part. Very different than calcium hydroxide. 3. Happy corals raise pH! Because of photosynthesis, I cycle 7.8 to 8.4 daily. Stability and lots of happy corals will raise pH. 4. Alternating fuge/frag tank/display light cycles. I run a frag tank off a common fuge, so I stagger lighting on/off times of each. That increases my total photosynthesis time, thereby increasing pH. 5. Take a vacation! Even with an outside air line, removing the mouth breathers from the house helps. No mouth breathers means less CO2, resulting in higher pH!
Love it! Shooting for that high ph surely will mean happier corals. The key is finding one of the methods you mentioned and implementing. But all those methods are very easy and sustainable.
I would suggest micro bubble scrubbing with exterior air during your tanks lights out hours. You can use Aqua Lifter pump to draw in the fresh air. With a sump you can add the wood airstone in the last bubble trap before the return pump. Or place the wood airstone under the return pump. Only a small stream of bubbles are needed for coral and ph benefits. If you don't like bubbles in the display then shut it off 1 hours before light on.
Hi Tom, Mike Anderson here. Just noticed this on u tube and got low ph. I'll try the air stone in the sump. I got fresh air going into my skimmer. Keep in touch. flyboyflap45@aol.com
Joel Gomez small bubble have more contact time with the water allowing for the more oxygenated air to dissolve into the water vs just agitating the surface. Smaller is better.
What level holding ALk & Cal. Because I want to know my ph is 7 I want to use kalkwasser but worried about Kh & cal I want to keep my kh 11 & cal 480 Please help the dosing
@@eatsleepreef9565 Oh I didn't know it was nero. Older video showed about gyre vs mp10 so I figured it would be mp10. Can't really see the powerhead because of beautiful tank!
I run a stable 8.1 simply cause it puts me in the middle of that 7.8-8.3 range. I do the same with all my perameters. 430-440 cal dk 10.8 I like to shoot for upper medium so should something happen up or down I have time to figure out what it is and solve it before it crash’s the system. I would prefer a dk if 9.5ish but that extra point is what stabilized the ph so well. I see .1 swings on a bad day with a big family and tank in the living room. Before raising dk at times I would see .5

When you did the move...did you keep the corals on the rocks attached? Or detached them and re-glue?
Some left some reguled
EAT SLEEP Reef i assume your epic zoas stayed glued?

Heard that method works very very good. I will have to look into this.
I was thinking of using and air pump without the stone just the hose itself to create big bubble inside the tank will that work?

I wish I read this comment before wasting 9 minutes I'll never get back.
I run a outside line to the skimmer and ph is stable at 8.2 . Ventilation and water movement is also key.
👍🏻.
I have thought about that too. Might have to try.
Outside line? How to you go about that? Where do you connect the line to the skimmer?
Great Vid. 8.1-8.3 gets good growth. You can also run the airline to your skimmer from an external Air source for increased PH.
Amazing color ,love it 😍😍😍
Kalkwasser clogged up my ATO but otherwise great product for increasing PH while holding Alk & Calcium @ good levels
I’m
Assuming you were dosing from Ato and not Kalk stirer?
EAT SLEEP Reef That would be correct

Please help the dosing
your older video used gyre powerhead. Any reason for changing your powerhead to MP10? btw nice tank!
I don’t have an mp-10 I now have Nero. I will make video as to why in the next 2 weeks. Pretty much to big for this tank

do you have a screen top you use when youre not filming?
Don’t know if I can wait to here the 6 ways to raise ph I’m more than halfway through and still no tips
Ffs, takes u 5 1/2 min to start talking about the topic..

Can we please have a vid on your. Calcium reactor. As I believe there the way to go for stability 😃👍🏴
what lighting are you using? planning to get the same
So much filler talk before it actually gets to the subject matter.
Can anyone help me with my phone because it's not really connecting not really running fast it's going to slow
Here take my Like
Thumbs up 👍
How high is too high? I'm.at 9.9 and 10
I think something must be wrong in what your using to test the water
@@eatsleepreef9565 I'll dbl chk..but no..fresh Hannah ph pen...ill recalibrate and test again just to be on the safe side
Add lots of drift wood or proper pH by api or even pH down
😀
Muito legal!!! 😁
