GF u made me smile when talking about using American measurements. Im 66 and will never get to Europe, but my husband was an army brat and grew up in Italy. So when u talk in grams, I turn to him. Keep making your wonderful videos. I get to see France thru eyes!

Such a lovely video! I love watching people cook, so feel free to do more of that! The sweet potato sage bread and the coffee cake look delicious. I just might have to give them a try. I am so anxious to get your cookbook! The photos of the recipes in this video are things I will definitely like preparing and eating. I think a book signing party is a wonderful idea! You’ve worked so hard on this project. A celebration at the end is the right thing to do! I wish I could travel to Beaune to celebrate with you, but that is just not in the cards right now. But I am saving my pennies so I can come stay in the Cook’s Cottage one of these summer seasons!

Thank you for sharing Marloes, lovely recipes too! Regarding your flowers - the cosmos and the calendula will re-seed so if you don't pull them all out they will grow back again next year. Ours do this every year and they'll be ready to go in the spring. Dahlias and zinnias are different and need to be started again in the spring! Hope this helps! (: Happy Autumn!

Thanks for sharing that! I know that is how it should work but when I had sown them in the first year and left them over the winter nothing grew back the next spring… so I have decided to sow them each year.

The cosmos in South Africa grows in the wild especially in the drakensberg area. They also bloom late in autumn and are a magnificent show. I always say depending on the majority of the colours whether it will be a very cold winter or not ~ more white means snow.

Hello, do you feel safe in that part of France? I live in the USA but I am not American, and I do not think I will stay here for ever. I lived in Europe many many years ago, then it was pretty safe. Now you hear about violence (anywhere, everywhere really) but Europe is so small compared to the USA or Australia…..that it may be hard to actually get away from violence or it may come your way…. Do you worry about those things?

You know I'm American & I know what you're talking about but the gun violence in our country is like no other and it only seems to get worse. You can certainly live out in the countryside of France and keep a rifle or some kind of protection, I don't think most parts of Europe are as dangerous as many parts of the States. Just my opinion.
