Very interesting as you can see the differences from the Grasshopper to the Grasshopper 2 chassis. What you need is someone to make a hybrid axle mounts that has the fixed position of the Grasshopper but fits to the Grasshopper 2 chassis. That would get rid of the axle slap in one go.
Yes it would, but that would also fixate the articulation, just as on the Grasshopper. It's only the center of the axle that needs to be in a fixed position. The 3rd shocok mod that everybody has been doing slows the axle slap a bit but doesn't overcome the problem. Shenlonco (see his channel) shows how it can be solved with a fishing line. But I guess what we really need is a visual appealing mod in the lines with what AMPro (see his channel) did with The Hornet.
Thanks! I wondered about the differences some time ago, but it was first when I had both up close side by side I clearly could make out the differences. Hope the video will feel a bit like having them close side by side :-)
Yeah, The Rising Fighter is much bigger, faster and more durable. Modern wheel hex adapters, flexible suspension, 540 motor, DT-01 gear box etc. Your kid's gonna like it. It's like a "Grasshopper 3" or a "Hornet 3". Try watching Part 2 (a running video of both models) of this video series in my channel. I would recommend a Grasshopper for your kid's parents. That way the parants can enjoy some retro fun and your kid can enjoy running faster than the parents ;-) Good family fun.
@@NordicRC Ok. Not going to hurt just to eBay the parts tree and try it. If it fits, I can get a longer damper for the front because it has a lower offset than the original grasshopper A arms. Cheers
Very different. They share a minium of parts like the Front Bumper. Still very much the same. They're both "Grasshoppers" ;-) So same same but different.
Must check that GH2 out in your channel. Just got my first Super Hornet (not a mint but more of a project). Promised myself not to get one, and just equip the Rising Fighter with oil shocks, but couldn't resist the Super Hornet powers :-) Must have been really hard to let that one go.
i want to be the guy that got all i mean the little guys to grow to 1000 thats me im that guy it wood be so cool to be at 1000 subs but it wood be even cooler to get all those guys that are working just as hard or harder to get something for it granted its not much but every little bit counts

AmPro to the rescue! He fixed the axle slap - visually pleasing and a permanent fix!
Very helpful, thanks for the video.
Nice comarison with much helpful information!

just got my kid a RF for Christmas. but I'm old school and wish it was a grasshopper. is there any difference in performance?

I really like the side by side comparison. I was just wondering if the Front A arms are interchangeable between the two?
Hi. Not sure. I don't think so. The Grasshopper II arms are larger than the Grasshopper I, but never tried it.

Nordic RC Visions sure was it was a nice looking buggy! But I needed to make room and I kind of hate keeping shelf queens so I parted with her.
