Hi Andrew. Can you try these T598 wheel settings: ✅ FFB: 3 ✅ Master Gain: 100% ✅ Mode: E ✅ Friction: OFF ✅ Boost Low: +2 ✅ Boost High: +2 ✅ Speed: EXT ✅ Damper: 0% ✅ Spring: AUTO ✅ Gear Jolt: HIGH ✅ End Stop: HIGH
tomorrow all the european models will hit the market including mine if you ordered directly from the Thrustmaster shop i guess. I hope they implement the real T598 in GT7 soon. I learned from the video comments what i should do, blue mode and the wheel settings mentioned here in the comments + activate telemetry, whatever that is.
Well, that answers one of my questions. Thank you for the how-to. Now my only other question is if it will work with a USB extension cable. My PC is 12' away from where I sit. My Logitech will work with one extension, but you can't use two. I know that the Thrustmaster uses a USB C to USB cable normally, I just didn't know if you can plug an extension between it and the PC and it still function.
@@frogboyx1Gaming I can confirm it will work with one extension (yeah, I bought it. It's awesome) The setup went exactly as shown in the video, and Forza recognizes it as a thrustmaster t128, so it will work without remapping. Thank you for the videos. They were really helpful.
It's notify on Thrustmaster T598 support: for now in all PS games you must select the BLUE Mode (and not the RED Mode). The oscillations are stoped in the menu of GT7 only in BLUE MODE (and not in RED). In addition the INERTIA slider is working only when the Telemetry is activate (it was not the case on your Video when you was in the blue mode). In this case, quit the game completely, restart the wheel and return to the game (in Blue Mode of course) and it will works after.
I have to argue with that so you’re gonna play a PS five version of the game on a PS five, but you’re gonna select PlayStation 4 mode? In my experience, you only have to use the blue mode when you play a PS4 games
@@coreymorgenstern8065 It's explain on the T598 user manual and on the T598 Techsupport (in the PS5 games list): the BLUE mode must be currently used with all PS4 & PS5 games. The RED mode is for later and must not be used for now.

The INERTIA option is only working when the Telemetry is activate and is optimized for the Blue Mode (and not for the Red Mode). On this video the telemetry is disable (so the Inertia can't works) when you play in the Blue Mode.
Thanks for the tip for holding the buttons while updating, before it wont go.
Happy to help
Just got my wheel/stand and firmware updated. Now I gotta get my son to stop playing so I can try it out haha
Sounds like you have a lot of fun in your house 😂
Let's go about to update now!!

Nice Review
Can you customize the wheel on PS 5 Pro to use it without the gas and brake pedals ?
Thank You 👍
You can with the Hypercar wheel

I am not sure
You can buy powered usb extenders

@@ThePanch89 it will work with an unpowered one (I had a 12 foot on my logitech)

Red mode is supported in GT seven maybe you should try snow runner or dirt five

@ yeah you’re absolutely right. It says when you play PS five games use red mode if possible don’t think I haven’t read the manual buddy.

how you activate the telemetry?
Does anyone have an idea why it shows the wheel is not connected even if it's fully in and locked ? Thanks!
the shifter has developed a hi pitch screech at times already, sounds like a parrot.
Hi,
How is the feeling of ffb with the t598 and the Hypercar wheel ?
It does not lack strength ?
Honestly it is a little weaker but feels significantly better overall if that makes sense. I feel like it distributes the force feedback better.
Thanks!
Did it work for you?
@@frogboyx1Gamingunfortunately it did not help. I downloaded the microsoft store app, but it does not recognize the wheel to even begin the process.
@mechlovin7627 interesting did you unplug the pedals and remove the wheel
@@frogboyx1Gaming Yes on both, I followed the instructions in manual
Stalker 2 looks really good on my Alienware oled, gotta try other games though...maybe I'll get red dead 2 still haven't played it yet
Hell yeah my friend
Why do you keep your damper at 0, only going to make wheel feel loose and more oscillating
No reason at all. It's the default setting.
@turn it up and the wheel should stiffen up at least that’s how it works on my fanatec
Any luck w/r32 wheel update request on t598
I will try this weekend for sure
More peanut gallery videos please.
Any idea how to reset the wheel from button presses? Mine came unplugged while updating and now wont turn on🫤
Hold down the settings and L3 while turning it back on
It specifically says not to unplug it brother.
@frogboyx1Gaming yea i know. Kid ran through dammit
Pretty sure it's bricked
@JtotheM i will reach out to see if there is anything that can be done to fix it. But I am pretty sure I won't get a response till next week sadly
