    Hi if this possible to use it for Tom yum hotpot soup base? If I have 2 litres of water, how many paste should I put in?

      @yulee8613. Yes, it can be used for hot pot, the amount to use is according to your prfer, try to put in a bit at time and try. For me I prefer slightly diluted TomYum base hotpot. Happy cooking

    Thx for sharing this recipe! :) based on this video recipe, how many portions of tom yum soup can I make? Like how much water/ broth should I use? And we just put them to boil and let it cook the prawns/ veggies? Thx so much.

      Hi Dian Nuryana, thank you for the question 😄 Actually, it depends on the number of servings of the Tom Yum. If it is for 1 person, you may want to use 300ml of water/broth with 3 tbsp of tom yum paste. I would boil everything first like a soup, and add in the Tom Yum paste last 😄
      I have uploaded a recipe for Tom Yum Prawns using this paste here, you can follow the recipe here as well: ruclips.net/video/IXBC3pM2P3U/видео.html Hope it helps 😄 Happy cooking 😄

      Hi Noor, thank you and hope you will enjoy. If you wish for more sour can add more tamarind or lime juice. Cheers!

    How long can it last?

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  5 лет назад +1

      Hi Chan Tah a hing, Keep it in a dry container without contact with water and place it in refrigerator. This can last for a bout 6 - 8 weeks. Thanks for checking it out.

    Must add lime juice??

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  4 года назад +1

      Hi Soon Y, thanks for the question 😄 Usually, tom yum paste will not contain lime juice for the sourness. If there is not enough sourness in the Tom Yum gravy, lime juice can be added to intensify the sourness 😄

    Can I used tomatoes to replace tamarind

    • @HomeCookingwithSomjit
      @HomeCookingwithSomjit  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, not advisable, the taste will run. If no tamarind, put more lime juice after everything is cooked. Lime juice is a great substitute for tamarind. Thanks for comment.

    What is chinese parsley root in bahasa? Is that same as cilantro root?

      Hi Paulina Esti Handayani, Yes, it's a cilantro root. Bahasa calls ketumbar ( my apologies said it's incorrectly in the video) 🙏

    What do you mean bY gerangal?
    Is that a gringer?

      Hi Ahmad said ibrahim. It's Lengkuas

    • @bjarnesmith640
      @bjarnesmith640 4 года назад

      Galangal is similar to ginger, it is a root like ginger, but it is not ginger. You can find it at some Asian markets. I have seen it, heard about, but have not yet tried it. If you can't find it, you can use ginger as a substitute, but I imagine it will have a slightly different flavor.

    มันคือน้ำพริกต้มยำ หรือ พริกแกงต้มยำครับ อยากได้แบบพริกแกงต้มยำ เอาไปผสมน้ำแล้วเป็นน้ำต้มยำ

      , มันคือพริกแกงต้มยำค่ะ แบบที่เอาไปผสมน้ำแล้วเป็นน้ำต้มยำ คล้ายๆกับเครื่องต้มยำที่ขายเป็นขวดๆ น่ะค่ะ
      ขอโทษทีอาจจะเรียกผิดไปหน่อย ขอบคุณค่ะที่คอมเม้นมา
