The hill is unstable, lets get the kids and go stand in front of it.
My thoughts, it could all slide down any second.
I grew up in Laurel Canyon in Studio City in the 70s & it'd rain so hard our street (Oakdell Road) would turn into a raging river.. If you tried to cross it, you'd get swept away. I also remember helping our neighbors above us sandbag all around their house like crazy with the mud already filling in their swimming pool. It's nature & when living in mountains with rain this is all part of the adventure.
I grew up in the valley 65 yrs ago. Never saw anything like that. Sherman Oaks?? Wow. Hope they get some help. Quite a mess there.
I have seen this and i am 68yrs old. 1982/83, i worked in Woodland Hilla, CA. I believe this was Winter, it rained all day and next morning. The roads were like rivers and the 101fwy was like the ocean. I just pulled over and had breakfast until it stopped raining about 11am.
I think that’s the year the Ventura pier was heavily damaged.
I would have long SOLD and moved. This will not end.
No lives lost everything else can be replaced or fixed ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great ... you are going to pay to replace it?
Material things are replaceable lives are not.
@@victorboucher675 This person you're addressing is in no way responsible for replacing anything, they are just expressing the relief that there weren't any people killed.
God bless you all. Stay safe!
Insurance companies: Wanna see me make this worse?
Dont worry California Biden will be their for you..

@@franklinj1038*Newsom, but yeah...

@@duffbaker9554 before that was jan1969
Devastating! I wish others were able to help them more!
Hope everyone is safe. Similar mudslides and flooding in metro Los Angeles have happened before ... and will happen again.
Another investment opportunity for Oprah. Oh I've seen fire and I've seen rain.
Bell canyon is adjacent to sherman oaks huge homes perched on steep hillsides

WOW don't you just love California at this time of year. It's great right
When you buy a house, you don't think that the hill may come down? Or the water will come in the doors if next to a body of water? BRAINS, where did they go?
California Dreamin
No worries ... Newsom is awesome.
Hey, don't forget Gascon!
Newsome is fabulous
Is that lodestone?
What I am most concerned with is who builds in a canyon in the first place. Who buys in a canyon and are you that obtuse to think nothing will happen? You live in a CANYON, how do you think it became a canyon? I think building homes in canyons should be illegal and no one should insure your thoughtlessness.
Did you interview them and ask them if they thought nothing would happen ? Why not chastise the entire Midwest because they built homes where tornadoes happen ?
I think you just like saying canyon.
@@mizzury54 tornadoes are everywhere, that's hit and miss. The grand canyon should be a beacon. They are canyons because water made them, so shut it. This isn't about you but yet you had to make it so. Shut it.
Wow the car stopped disaster. Time to reevaluate drainage
Yikes!
Is this Laurel Canyon? Benedict Canyon? If it's either of them, I'm not surprised by this. 🤔
People build and develop in high risk communities. (Fire danger, flood danger) low lying areas that have historically seen natural disasters and then act shocked or poor me when it finally happens
Keep on messing with the children. You haven't seen anything yet.
GEOENGINEERING AT ITS FINEST
NEWSOME GET YOUR AX DOWN HERE 😈😈😈😈
He's busy passing ridiculous bills.
@@lynettenasseri753 Exactly!
Earth movement is not covered!!!
Get the hell out of there!!!!!
Don't worry, folks-higher taxes will most likely sort everything out. And remember to Biden/Harris it in 2024..
That’s going to take forever to clean up. I feel sorry for those people.
Paradise Lost?
This is what happens when you build where you are not supposed to. Da..
Don’t take the bait, it’s a trap. No slamming at all😢
That's what they get for tearing down the mall from Fast Times. JK. I hope everyone is safe.
Dude you gon need a better pair of shoe😂
Mudslides and margaritas all night!
I'm more concerned about the crazy homeless and violent crime than some mud puddles
Well, you shouldn't be

I'm sorry for the diasters but it's amazing to see a young man who knows how to use a shovel. 1 in a hundred for sure.
What is wrong with parents these days?
#WatchtheWater
It's just rain - the problem is over building, typical in CA.
Ah the land of milk and honey. Glad I’m in Nebraska in a drought but still growing 200 bushel corn with no earthquakes fires floods failing dams or proposition. Keep up the good work California and if you decide to move Idaho loves ya all
Mmy family came to SoCal in the 70s from Kansas, Idaho, and Wisconsin. We made our houses our homes. We also still have family farms back in the mid west. We love all of our cities and rural towns. I just do not understand the divide. We live in harmony and enjoy our adopted state of Ca. Also, people do not chose to where there are born. Of course you know that though.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks Biden
Rich get a taste of poverty😮
Damn, that sucks. Ya'll should have voted for Trump. LMAO!
Homeowers insurance, act of God, go pound salt, kick rocks. 😂🤣😅
