Thank you so much! I think you would really like James. It was such a good re-telling. Sometimes a re-telling doesn't add much to the original but this added a really important perspective!
I found Somewhere Beyond the Sea very saccharrine but I read it at a time when I needed something heartwarming. I definitely want to read more Erik Larson. I loved Dead Wake.
I have The Sisters Brothers on my TBR Shelf--I meant to read it last June, but ran out of time. Patrick DeWitt may be Canadian, but he currently lives in Portland, so I'm considering him a local author!
Your embroidery looks amazing, as usual. I do agree that a few more branches might be good. Also your hair looks quite nice pulled back like that. Great book reviews of course.
Best wishes and happy reading.
Love the tree looking so sweet and festive!! Ooooh Huck Finn retelling sounds really good! Adding to my list!

I still need to read Brothers Sisters. It’s the January pick for Reading Across Canada Book Club. James is still high on my TBR. 😊💙
It was a fun one! The characters were kind of terrible people but it was a good time. Your Best Can Book list has been really great for me so far!

Thank you so much! I just added some extra/connecting branches and it really improved the overall look.
There's a movie adaptation of Sisters Brothers.
I didn't know that! With the amount of killing in the book I am not sure if I would love watching it but I will have to at least watch the preview.
