Dear Team Lallantop, This is perhaps the first of its program hosted by you.There couldn't have been a better topic better than Mental Health to be debated.It has indeed been a good decision to invite such a guest in the newsroom who is an OCI.She knows the problems faced in the country she has left which her counterpart of US or European origin wouldn't. There was a question from the audience as to why USA is doing अनदेखा of entry of children from Mexican border. However,it couldn't attract a plausible answer.As I come from HR stream,I see in it hidden requirement of labour complement in USA, which natives aren't prepared to do. Coming back to the main topic, I for one would suggest to you to invite some more guests in the newsroom so that viewers feel encouraged to treat Mental Health Problem like any other. Your guests could also draw a comparison between the content & variety taught in India and overseas.Our children are overburden.From day one, parents' aspiration of making their ward qualify for IIT/NIT/IIM/CLAT/MBBS/Civil Service starts from there and ends there.At the school bus stops, mothers feel obsessed to overemphasize the performance of their wards. Regarding the "Mass" phrase, I disagree with #shaitan Singh's reasoning since a certain segment of individuals don't need to watch the 2 hrs program as a serious one because it has become more mechanical for them. Rather, I would say that the episode is more knowledgeable and insightful from all angles. As Saurabh has already mentioned at the start of the show, "aaj k episode main beech beech main bahut saarein serious baatein hogi" so I don't find anything happened wrong.

Yashodhara was too polite to say that calling a psychologist/psychiatrist a shrink is derogatory. Although very commonly used, my therapist had corrected me and requested me to not use it. Just FYI. Loved the programming and the new format.

Have seen NASA and mental health episode based on its unique quotient and the speakers where we don’t get insights that easily. For this episode I wish she would have spoken more than Saurab Dwivedi. Wanted to know more of asylum journey or in an out of a case she has handle . But still the choice of guest and the unique work profiles is what I liked the most.

Permit me to elaborate on some aspects Yasodhara ji touched: how does one know if there is psychological problem... Freud famously said your neurosis would show up in your love, work or play life. There would be functional impairments Laparwah papa described the best anger scene by his four year old. It should be noted that the child has already learned to process it. Laparwah may help his son to process it. Suicide is a measure issue among young adults world wide. These children almost always feel isolated. Some thing one can lookout for. Also most young people often commit suicide as they are coming out of clinical depression. American gun culture is based on the American history, tradition, culture rooted in the second amendment of the American constitution. American dream needs to be defined. As a young person I thought having endless opportunity for learning was a dream come true. In my practice I suggest that you do not come to see me before you have talked to your teacher, preacher, leader, and grand mother. Therapeutic relationship is a conglomeration of various relationships. Actually Saurabh babu you play various roles for your team. It is a delight to watch you, ever since you mentioned the dialogue between Yudhisthir and Yaksha. Addiction is a major issue. My dissertation was on it. Once again congratulations for this. I came across "Guest in the newsroom" recently & watched 5-6 episodes. It is very unique concept & invited guests are also from unique fields and they are very intersting. But, I found, somehow, team is not able to ask good questions. Mostly, they are busy in passing comments like we do in school. Anchor also keep on interrupt guest and audience. It is getting irritating sometime. e. g Watch 42:10 to 46:50. They have not let guest talk. They were just enjoying their own comments.

People need to understand that there is a line in professional environment which no one should cross irrespective of their organisational position.
Bhai in an informal environment if they are friendly it is better for their professional life in the same place. So stop judging. If you have problem in your office, be offended for yourself. Don't overstep and be offended for others.
Nobody requires mental health expertise more than the experts themselves. Mental health is a consequence of how, what and why you think. Change you feelings by changing your thinking. Filling yourself with chemicals won’t work except for the “experts” and the Pharma industry. They will make you dependent on them until you are bankrupt.

No there is some misunderstandings. Actually Psychiatrists Speciality after MBBS . Both psychologists and psychiatrists can provide psychotherapy. However, most psychiatrists treat patients primarily by prescribing medication, while psychologists mainly rely on providing talk and/or behavioral therapy. Some states now grant psychologists prescription privileges once they complete the required education and training.

I came across "Guest in the newsroom" recently & watched 5-6 episodes. It is very unique concept & invited guests are also from unique fields and they are very intersting.
But, I found, somehow, team is not able to ask good questions. Mostly, they are busy in passing comments like we do in school. Anchor also keep on interrupt guest and audience. It is getting irritating sometime. e. g Watch 42:10 to 46:50. They have not let guest talk. They were just enjoying their own comments.

Seems like Lallantop's office has an hostile environment. Saurabh being the boss can't have the power to humiliate or assign names (gadha) to people even if it seems funny.
People need to understand that there is a line in professional environment which no one should cross irrespective of their organisational position.
Bhai in an informal environment if they are friendly it is better for their professional life in the same place. So stop judging. If you have problem in your office, be offended for yourself.

Nobody requires mental health expertise more than the experts themselves. Mental health is a consequence of how, what and why you think. Change you feelings by changing your thinking. Filling yourself with chemicals won’t work except for the “experts” and the Pharma industry. They will make you dependent on them until you are bankrupt.

No there is some misunderstandings. Actually Psychiatrists Speciality after MBBS . Both psychologists and psychiatrists can provide psychotherapy. However, most psychiatrists treat patients primarily by prescribing medication, while psychologists mainly rely on providing talk and/or behavioral therapy. Some states now grant psychologists prescription privileges once they complete the required education and training.
@@navoditarana Correct! After qualifying to prescribe they become legal drug-pushers. Instead of fixing the patient’s thoughts they dope the patient with medications until he becomes a zombie and just takes instructions.
