One thing you don‘t seem to mention is that Sacred weapon also makes your weapon magical, and by that extend overrides most resistances monsters bring to the table. This single channel divinity is almost broken, if you compare it with other CDs
It's absolutely insane if you take a level 1 dip in Hexblade Warlock so you can use your Charisma instead of Str/Dex. At level 5 with a +4 Cha, you have a damn +11 (4+4+3) to hit while Sacred Weapon is up.
Sacred Weapon is one of my favorite abilities in the game. Take that, then pick up the great weapon master feat, and you can effectively add 10 damage to your melee attacks with the cost being completely mitigated or significantly reduced.
Cross class with celestial warlock, boom holy spellslinger healie boi who's patron is their parent (make the race aasimar and you're golden) flying angel boi with their deity/patron being their parent wraps up neatly
Hey guys can you please do clerics of the forge? That would be awesome . me and my friends we all talk about that class and it would be nice to see what you think in a video.! Ty great content
Hey :D I played one for a while. And from my opinion. They are super fun to play and help the party to get a+1 magic weapon :D or a full plate after 2 weeks. And trust me. Heat metal on a armored boss :) they are gone :P
I played a protector Aasimar paladin of devotion (aka tank of the party) in my last campaign. In the homebrew adventure the DM made our party was on a ship and it was frozen off the coast of a mysterious island (think Lost). We found a shrine that had two intelligent talking twin baboons who revealed that there were five other shrines that magically cursed the island and to free ourselves we had to deactivate them. Every day there was a different magical omen that affected the entire island (raining blood, couldn't retrack our steps, etc.). We deactivated the other shrines, each one with a different boss monster (vampire, adult white dragon) and finally went back to the first shrine and discovered that the twin baboons were actually servants of Demogorgon. We made our way down below that shrine and faced the aboleth that was behind the demon cult. Being an aasimar paladin my character used her Radiant Soul power to spread her wings and fly over the water -- which the aboleth was using its Lair Action to keep the rest of the party away from it. Being a 7th level paladin, she was immune to diseased touch of the aboleth's tentacles and immune to the charm of the aboleth's Enslave power. Eventually the party killed the aboleth but not before it opened the portal for Demogorgon. The 7th level party had no chance against a CR 26 demon lord but we closed the portal by wearing the crown the aboleth had used to open the portal. We gained a level just for that last fight! tl;dr Aasimar paladin of devotion are great against aboleths!
@@crankysmurf I really didnt think anyone would reply at this point but man an Aasimar was a really cool pick for my paladin in my campaign, and while it didnt last long. I still enjoyed making him as a man on a quest for redemption. In other words, Aasimars are one of the few races perfect for paladin with their bonus and general character just fitting for any smiting warrior :))
The Text of Holy Nimbus declares that the Aura is SUNLIGHT... It affects VAMPIRES... and imposes the effects of Sunlight Sensitivity. (and any other effects listed under the Vampire in the Monster Manual.

Thanks guys! I'm about to play a Dragonborn Paladin as my first campaign and this helped me out a lot picking my subclass! Keep up the great work!
Me too Dude! what a coincidence!
Oath of Devotion is a good one!
These tenets are definetely the ones for the full Lawful Good paladin. Exactly what you think of when you say 'Paladon'
When my paladin of devotion lies usually by his own personal choice, it affects him deeply. It adds more depth to the rp, I think.

We heard you liked Paladin, so we slapped more Paladin on your Paladin so it could Paladin better. What's not to love?
I have a paladin of devotion that solo'd TWO nalfeshnee, 2 cr 13 demons and lived. Thanks to Purity of spirit he lived through the whole ordeal
Hey Strahd, that's a nice charm you've got there...
My guy really said the word yes.
Playing this class for the first time in Curse of Strahd
Cross class with celestial warlock, boom holy spellslinger healie boi who's patron is their parent (make the race aasimar and you're golden) flying angel boi with their deity/patron being their parent wraps up neatly

Oath of devotion paladin of sylvanus which is a goliath prolly gonna cross class with a warlock
I am still annoyed by the “1 action cost” of Sacred Weapon
It's a significant boost to the character's chance to hit; up to +5 is insane! On top of that, it recharges on a short rest; well worth an action IMHO
Dude on the left..stop talking at the same time as dude on the right.. being louder to talk over each other is really annoying.
