I love this commentary especially the nikocado bs. He’s a literal psycho and posts videos like that all the time. The fact that some people actually do stuff like this is wild. Also your zooms and editing is killing me 😂😂😂
I want to add to the oversharing/trauma dumping chapter, Imagine how insensitive it is to the people that have passed who are the subject of those videos. Especially if I was that teacher I would not want jokes to be made about me hitting rock bottom and literally offing myself like you said. And if I was that persons brother I would feel just disrespected if I was alive to see that she made a funny or quirky tiktok idk.

I’ve actually never rlly thought in depth abt how much traumatic things have been shared on tick-tock and this vid is making me see this topic in a different light so thank you 👍😃
I honestly love these commentaries you're doing. You're legit removing the facade that youtubers/internet users? have to put up and that's an amazing thing, because being genuine is now apparently rare and a "compliment" So, thank you.
This could become a series called “jazzy anne is not okay w/ anything” and it’s where you dabble into commentary or more opinion-based videos. Besides that, I think the perfect example for the oversharing/trauma dumping section are Cody Kos’ “omg tiktoks” videos. People post the most gruesome things that you literally cannot take watching anymore of them. The issue is it’s addicting because you get a surprise factor that you lack from other places; a part of you has a desire to know more and it results in the creator having to share more about that 15 second clip. What a cruel, shameless cycle
I love these rants a lot. Most others are usually them talking in a calming voice and being professional (nothing wrong wit it I just get bored) but your videos show you being fun, silly and mad. Man I love your editing style. And I watch niki often, she tends to bring up things that make her different often but then make it up by talking about being relatable.
3:25 Added context to the clip: Ben Azelart and Lexi Rivera had pulled argument/breakup pranks on their friends for reaction purposes while they were actually together, so Dom Brack wondering if they were pranking him is mainly due to those experiences where he was fooled before, not initially realizing they were telling the truth that time. Ironically, Dom and Sofie Dossi have also pulled argument/breakup pranks on their friends on their respective YT channels since they became public as a couple in 2021.
The trouble with authenticity on the internet is that being 'different' is in such a high demand. Take minecraft youtubers. Sure there are plenty of pvp and hardcore gods but the ones who become successful either have really original ideas or have an 'authentic' personality. This is why you will get a lot of content creators who go to lengths to differentiate themselves from others in an inauthentic way and most of the time its painfully obvious when people play up their personalities. This is harmful as it defeats the point of authenticity when you get people trying to mimic the personalities of others.
One breakup video that was 100% genuine was Liza koshy and David Dobrik. They are both very funny people and still acted like themselves through the tears. That video made us understand that they needed to take care of themselves before they love one other. Made me almost tear up with them.
I love Jazzy Anne for being honest about these types of videos and like telling people that showing private emotional topics that may hurt OTHER people shouldn't be shown to the whole internet. I love how real she is bro
Wow, now that you explained it I’ve definitely experienced trauma dumping way too many times in my life. I was literally at work ( I work in retail ) I was helping a family of 6 so they had 4 kids and randomly the mom said to me “we had a fifth child, but she died” and I wasn’t expecting that and I didn’t know how to respond, and I could tell her husband wasn’t expecting her to say that at all and so he followed up with “but we’re okay” it was so depressing to hear and I had to walk away because hearing that at my retail job was the last thing I expected
Yeah honestly as someone who is really trying not to trauma dump (I guess I’m on the other end of the spectrum haha) it’s something I needed to hear yanno? I’ve always regretted trauma dumping but sometimes I just need a reminder that it’s not okay if you know what I mean
@@pankosushi i totally understand, and it’s also not your fault either. I know it’s not easy dealing with trauma so it’s okay. We’re all a work in progress. ❤️❤️❤️

This is sooooo refreshing like you have no idea how long ive been trying to find someone who thinks this way. Like there are so many gripes i have with the internet and the people who use it but ultimately each one is too petty for anyone else to care

i can clearly see through jazzy's youtube videos that her personality is building up! jazzy your videos are just keep getting better and better in terms of editing, and humor every single time. your personality is really shining.
my parents never let me have social media and i always wished i had it because all my friends did and it made you cool but then i realized how different i would have been if i had gotten it so younge
I agree 10000% with you. I have always said that social media should be used for social purposes and at max sharing about one's mental health to an extent. For example, posting pictures or videos of one's vacation trip to florida (social purposes) or posting pictures/vids from your life. or post pictures/vids from you in the hospital with your grandma right before she passed to express one's mental health and struggle that is one thing. but to force someones opinions or trauma dump like you said on social media is honestly sickening to me. i lost my sister 3 weeks before my 14th birthday which was 2yrs ago and i OCCASIONALLY would post about my struggles on social media but nothing more than saying that i was struggling this week or something but to go super deep about your trauma on social media for people you dont know or people you do know but dont know if they are emotionally ready to hear or read about is wrong and inconsiderate. i also believe that expressing political opinions on social media in people's faces is wrong. listen i have no problem with opinons and i understand that usually the topic is very important to today's society but i dont believe that putting it all over the internet is the right way to express one's opinions. it in all honesty pisses me off because for a lot of the topics the people posting about it has no exprience in the real world nor do they TRULY understand the whole picture of the topic that they are so willing to post about. i hope this does not offend anyone and if it does i will gladly take this comment down but i would like to say i agree with jazzy about trauma dumping on social media and thats all really. again i hope this doesnt offend anyone and if it does please comment on this and i will happily take this down because the last thing i want to do is offend someone:) have a lovely day/night & week
Honestly, the video about the guy talking about the teacher was so messed up because honestly it doesn’t seem like they even knew the teacher in a personal level enough to even joke about that. That was just a bad joke and the comments disgust me at how desensitized people can be. Personally, I am a high schooler from a small school and I am great friends with all of my teachers and if I saw something like this one of them it would piss me out so much.

I love this commentary because it can go beyond social media into reality TV. (Part 2 maybe? lol) I've always wondered how people in reality TV and creators' “raw/real” videos could act naturally in front of a camera or a whole studio setup without a slight performative act. What deters me from some reality TV is that performative feeling & how they exploit these sensitive topics or big milestones in life. The most prominent example for me are shows about teen pregnancy since I wanted to know what it was like being a teen as a kid before I became one and watched these shows. Something felt off when watching because it never showed them going to school or them being an actual teenager that's pregnant. And I hate that social media and TV have desensitized us to these milestones/ trauma, where we laugh or don’t bat an eye towards it.
