This is a great and simple video, one step you missed in the edit was the flip of the white pocket before you made the two final passes to create the pocket. After seeing a few videos it was easy to figure it out. Quick and dirty, the way it should be...
But you see the interfacing fabric at the front. Hmmmm. I liked this because it looks "cleaner" than a few other videos I've seen on making welt pockets, but how do you make the front trim look nice with same fabric as pocket bag?
The idea was to teach sewing techniques. As for the measurement, it varies according to the size required for a person. I advise you to watch a video in my humble channel, in which I explain the measurement. Good luck.
