It's funny that you say no umbrellas. Because we was fishing at Powell several years ago in some pretty deep water catching some huge fish. When I snagged into the biggest hardest (fish) that I have ever reeled in i fought it for over a hour. Then it came into view a big wet umbrella 🌂 spinning in a circle. My fish hook hooked right into the handle of it.
Good stuff... we've been going to Lone Rock since 1975. Spot on tips. Only thing I can modify is using empty gallon jugs filled with lake water instead of sandbags. It's just easier...
An awesome tip that i learned from my grandpa who was a rafting guide is to cover coolers with a wet towel and it will make the ice last twice as long!!!!!
Thanks for the tips....... However, I dont consider Houseboating true camping. But, great tips though.. Anybody going to Lake Powell regardless of the vehicle is to be admired. I would compare houseboating to dry land R.V.'ing. Thanks for the post

Like Powell is gorgeous but very expensive, gas , rentals, skiing is wonderful, but California Delta is much more affordable and the glass is fabulous
Never been to California Delta. Will have to try it some day.
Do you sir teach at willow creek? I think my son Cristian got history with you! :)
K Soriano yes but I try to not let students know about channel just to keep things separate. I hope you that makes sense.
Great tips. I'm here in south Florida so I known exactly what you guys are talking about.
