Took me about 2 weeks to get enough selling those items to buy a fricken CASTLE. I thought, this is bliss, I am the king! Well, after a couple months the Mods or powers that be thought that I was exploiting and I got IP banned. CRUSHED, I wanted to DIE I was so into this game. Sure enough my buddy waited for my castle to drop, placed his own, put my stuff in his and sold it all for $400 on ebay. He gave me zero dollars for it and we didnt talk for seriously like 3 years. Best friends to this day though again
@@Clobberstomped I had all kinds of oddball ways of roleplaying my thief - I thought hey, the game has "reveal" or whatever we had to say to show people hiding in their house so I was playing off fair mechanics. If they didn't notice that I didnt waive my arms, had a name of "Sargento" or some NPC looking name didnt seem odd, thats not my fault. (Incognito! Incognito!) Jeez brings back some memories.
It's a shame gamers today will never experience UO in its heyday. All of the players made UO come alive. No game has come close to it yet. So many good memories: getting killed by reds while mining/chopping wood (pre-Trammel), chatting with players while getting armor repaired at the Britain armorer, protecting a bridge and losing everything in a random GM event, first visit to "insert dungeon location" (and losing everything), smuggling ostards from T2A, attending player-run events like archery contests and Christmas plays, taking a break from dungeon crawling to make/sell potions and leather armor, and so forth. Miss my roach mage. Great times.

No Trammel. uooutlands.com/features/ Unique map/towns Expanded skills ability for otherwise useless skills -forensic evaluation now determines what kind of cool leather you can skin from animals and is not totally useless -bard songs can give buffs to players/creatures that are friendly near you -carpentry can make ships which can now be fitted with cannons/npc crew, etc -no custom house design but multiple new unique houses -spirit speaking is now a useful skill in a new mechanism for summoning various monsters by stealing souls/energy like you would in an elder scrolls game with soul stones - better stamina system that doesn't just leave you struggling to move half the time - Pretty new, just opened a few months ago - no pay to play nonsense, donations can be used to buy cosmetic items which can arguably be sold for a lot of gold but that's it - new unique paragon boss type monster leaders, various subbosses and bosses in dungeons - achievement system, better title system, etc - Cool new factions that basically give the same feel as the old order/chaos type deal - No "thieves guild" nonsense; you wanna steal, you try to steal - unique pvp arena system in addition to open world pvp - no mounts in dungeons - half of all faction struggles that occur force unmounted combat - tons of new monsters and effects - unique endgame aspect system that allows you to make magical temporarily blessed items that use the various "aspects" for special abilities (enchanting it with materials from the void aspect school for instance might give you an ability that deals a bunch of damage or something while say doing the win aspect increases dex or something; i dunno not there yet) - mount breeding -improved plants system Lemme know what ya think :D hit or miss (I guess I never miss huh): None of the newer stuff like necromancy, bushido, etc.

The good thing is there are still community-run servers with old styles that you may remember. Free to play on them too. Just don't expect the player count to be high in them. The larger community-run servers are typically with UOGamers like UO Demise and Hybrid. That is if they are still kicking around.

I am still playing UO on the classic client, and I am still enjoying it since 2005. A lot has been added to the game throughout the years which leaves the player with more choice than one can handle. A lot of alterations have also been made so if a player is in "hiatus" for a while, it might be hard to follow. As there aren't many players around anymore, newcomers will find it troublesome getting help and this could be a turnoff.
UO will always be my all time fav game, but now I play Shroud of the Avatar and love it. SoTA is much better these days and actually a really good game now.
I had a friend at school who'd say their dad's office was completely flooded with maps, books, notes etc. from UO and just like kids are today he had to ration his gametime! I ask myself regularly 'Where are the modern RPGs that can touch the intellectual intricacy and fascination of old style games'. Aha, who remembers Blades of Exile, and Avernum?
Fun memories, I played this way back when it was the only MMO in town. I had an archer/mage on Catskills shard. The Buc's Den pirates, the Shadowclan orcs. There was also that smithing guild that hung out on multiple servers, you could always find them by the brit bank, fixing folks' armor and selling stuff. Good times.
Clobberstomp - MMORPG's & More! I didn't until I watched the interview with Lord British on IGN. I've seen a few comments about that other game I might have to check it out. I've bee. Playing on UOR for the past fee years and love the classic style they have there.
It's P to open paperdoll. I think you can click on your own avatar to show the title over yourself, inc guild, but there is an option in settings. Spirit speak buffs up the power of Necromancy nowadays and to talk to dead players...it also regens health when used. Port Or Grav is lightening bolt. Vas Flam if fireball. Get yourself a set of armour that has 100% lower reagent cost and practice spell a lot til lyou can reliably do energy bolts and explodes. Energy Vortex is really good too but is a top end spell. Get eval intelligence for more magery spell power.
I would love to play this game with my friends but they'd blam it for being a 18 year old game. I couldn't get them to try Everquest or PSO blue burst which currently can only be played on a private server. I wish my friends were more open to playing older games. A game doesn't need to have great graphics. I actually prefer quirky graphics.

Clobberstomp - MMORPG's & More! Mortal Online tried to bring it back but I think UO did a excellent job of ruining sandbox, open PVP mmos for good. UO in its prime was amazing. Before power hour or guaranteed skill gaind. Before PK stat loss. Before trammel and felucia. Amazing.
what ruined the old game for me was millions of grand masters and houses everywhere - then people began leaving - but before that it was so cool - the fun was going in a group of new players all helping each other and ganging up on monsters. - you can get strength up fast bu only using skills such as mining or wood cutting - then when you get the strength up high you torn down the mining and woodworking so you can raise your meditation and stamina same method i i was a GM Mag and Provoker but now i would love to be GM Pick Pocket Poisoner. :) I take all your bandages and poison you then go for your best weapons
I was in beta back in 96/97 then played for a few years. Then I picked it up again in early 2000's. Got a friend into it. Then in 2007 I started playing LoTRO. However my friend is still totally into UO and has played ever since I got him into it.
Actually after a few days of searching I did finally came across the UO Elite free-to-play server. Which my new little Fisher-Tamer-Alchemist gal enjoys running around on a world map I remembered with NO threat of any attacks by some kill-crazed PKs... :D
My greatest memory of this game is from the first 2 months of its release! It was totally crazy and wild. I became a GM Thief as I first character and pwoned until they nurfed the thief class. This was before you could store anything in the bank but money so all had to carry around their good stuff...perf for us to steal!

I played this game starting in 97 till 07, and I sure don't remember this view. Is this from a free shard? Miss this game, wonder if all my old accounts are still available.
Better video cards back then could support 1920x1080, even in Mac OS 9! No stretching in scaling or anything weird. My beige PowerMac G3 from 1997 can even handle it with the right graphics card. You have to remember, we had HD digital resolutions as far back as the 80s, they just took a while to become accessible to everyone. By 1998 we even had HD VHS that could hold 50 GB per digital tape before Blu Ray came to market.

I first played in 99 before trammel it was all fellucia back then sucked trying to go out of town, and sitting at the bank got you robbed of your goodies. I still remember taking down an ancient wyrm solo with my archer. The good ol days
Wow, this takes me back, played during T2A on and off till the last update with the pet dragon turtles. It was fun, but had to explore a bit of other mmos. I might get back on it soon, brings me back. I thought there was different versions of the client which you can use the classic version or 3d emulated in which the backpacks can have no slots in the inventory like a click and drop.
Theres an awesome free shard called uo forever, it has more people playing than the official server and its all old school UO, not all of this new age weird stuff. Check it out, been playing there for years, still to this day. :)
You don't need to start a new toon if you don't want. You can just turn the skills up on the ones that you want and off on the ones you don't Making a MULE toon is good too so you can have him run errands for ya. Had one lug my ore around a lot.

Oh wow! I remember playing that so long ago when it came out! I remember mining and making stuff a lot. I'd sell it and make money I think. But yeah, mining and wood working was what I enjoyed doing.
Place a boat in the water and gather up like 10 of those spectral spellbinders and let them hit you and you will get to 100 resist within an hour or so + max your intelligence.. They do magical damage spells and they can only hurt physically.. Meditation recovers your mana by the way, it governs your mana regeneration and then you can get more mana regeneration through armor pieces.
I was kinda tired when I wrote this lol.. I said that they do magical damage only. I meant that the spectral binders magic does not only and they only do damage physically.. You can let them cast spells on you all day and it doesn't hurt your character so long as they don't touch you and your resist just goes way up which is what the boat is for.. I am sure you have already tried it since I posted it.. :D
Well the game goes free 2 play at the end of the month anyways... You just can't own a house and there is a couple of other restrictions but it isn't really big of a deal.. I kinda wish they would allow housing on free accounts though.. I am trying to push for it cause at one point in UO you use to have to "refresh" your house by clicking the sign or it would fall within like 7 days.. I am trying to convince the devs to bring that back and let the free players place a limited size house (so a small house like a 8x8) the reason why is cause a lot of the landscape is very, very barren on a lot of shards except for Atlantic and I would like to see it fill back up because it would make houses like my castle that I have way more expensive, it would up the price on my castle and 18x18s that I have..
how can I run this on Mac? this is my first Mac, I played this game 10 years ago with my brothers, but they moved to Chicago and I'm left to my own defenses figuring tech stuff out

I was actually considering getting a subscription, too. My friend reactivated his old account and started playing again, and asked me to come play. He also mentioned Legends of Aria, which is supposed to be UO 2. Supposedly coming out on the 17th or something of this month. Haven't checked it out yet, though. I'll have to ask my friend what he's planning to do, because I'll end up doing whatever he does. LOL. I'll know by tonight or tomorrow. The game is rumored to be around $40 on Steam, though no price has officially been set or declared, and it's not on Steam yet. There's no monthly subscription fee. It's buy the game, play unlimited for free after. They said they _might_ have to charge a monthly fee if you host your own server (to covering expenses), and each player owned server can link with other player servers through some sort of "cluster mechanic," allowing for massive worlds (assuming multiple server links). It all sounds cool in theory. Lol. Since the launch is supposedly around the 17th or 21st of this month (might be for "founders" who donated or bought packs during development; they get 1-week early access, so official release might not be until the end of September or beginning of October), I don't think I will be getting a UO subscription. I'll probably just wait for Aria and try it out. If it gets pushed back to November or something, for whatever reason (doubtful), then yeah... I'll probably get a UO subscription for a few months.

I've thought about poking my head back in UO and looking around. It's been a long time for me, maybe 10 years at least. I stopped playing just after Trammel happened. I've also been watching the development of Legends of Aria, which looks like a UO clone.
My account is around 170 months now.. I log on probably once every 3-6 months to amuse myself. Pacific 🌏 prty much ghost, which my mains sit on. Atlantic is where everyone plays now days from what I've seen. Still got 14 vet rewards to choose from lol. Economy is shot on this game tho when buying from players. The npc prices haven't ever changed tho or home cost. Prty easy to find a spot for large keep or 18x18s on pac. But yea, I remember starting back in early 2000. Was fun then.

I was hoping you all could help to suggest 8 REALLY dorky Skill combinations for me to try, with just 1 being a fighting skill (like Wrestling, clubs, kitchen knives, fishing poles etc...). you misunderstand, I know that UO was first. What I mean is that when it was at its height, the UI didn't look like that. It looks like at some point, they adopted design elements from WoW. UO didn't have quests or exclamation point quest markers at launch. It was a sandbox in the early 2000s
I could sit behind your chair for 3 months where you play this game as your only waking thing to do. I would answer questions and and give tips on how to do things. Let you know what, what and when on game play that would be completely missed after years of trying to teach/learn yourself. The game is massive. The need for a three ring binder set on how to play UO was never made. And shows how clueless those that sculpt the world are on what drives an MMO. UO was one of the first MMO to take off and they did not believe or see the game would last. In comes the cheats and hacks and their greed to want to stop it. Three years later most players are using some 3rd party programs and lining their pockets trumped their TOS. In ten more years when the current player base dies of old age........UO's other foot will slip in that 6ft. UO's driving force from the start was the community. I was one those players that would help new players in game. And I hate to type says how much I enjoyed the game and wanted other to. With all the 3rd party abuse and boting compounded by duping. I later would not even recommend the game to my worse enemies. I still have 3 active accounts and have played maybe 6 times in the last 2 years. I currently am thinking of just pulling the plug and letting the bot IDOCers have all I collected in 17+ years. Let three Historic homes just decay. And no you may not have my stuff. The game could be something again. Those that own and pull the strings do not know or want to invest in that. It takes less effort to make a new fly by night game that comes and goes. That plucks a few coin fro your pocket. Rinse and repeat with a new shiny game. UO taught them it takes more to keep a game afloat then to fling something new out there. Last few generations lack the honor and/or ability to commit to even the small things in life. Hell a car has not been made in decades that is intended to last as long as UO has. Even if some hardcore UO veteran made 100+ videos on how to play UO. And lets say there was a fresh surge of players in a dead game. Those in charge would not take that new infusion of wealth to support that person to keep on. They will just milk that cow and not waste one cent on hay. Those in charge would still starve. Due to that fact after the cow dies and they are clueless there is a pile of meat in front of them. New term today class is "Zombified Game." UO is exactly that. The game has died but still goes on. Thanks to the 1% that realize after a few months of game play - UO is not that elephant they want to eat one bite at a time. Last 99% invested too much of their time to let go. And they would not curse anyone in a will with their UO account information. Unless they are a hated enemy. UO should be preserved. But like a Cabbage Patch Kid museum - who will eat that cost and have the time to do that?

I ran a blacksmith. It was so hard getting that skill raised up but was so worth it near the end. So many stories. Great game.

thats sad. UO is a real mmorpg and in my opinion the best. so much depth...even nowadays so called "mmorpgs" doesn't reach that potential.

The good thing is there are still community-run servers with old styles that you may remember. Free to play on them too. Just don't expect the player count to be high in them. The larger community-run servers are typically with UOGamers like UO Demise and Hybrid. That is if they are still kicking around.

You assume that everyone speaks English, when it fact they might not be capable of speaking that language. Furthermore, if he doesn't speak English, then your comment was simply randomized Latin characters to him. It's not as if he would have necessarily understood what you said. I may not speak Spanish either, but his initial comment translates to, "Is it a game? Is it free? Is it better than Tibia?". I didn't use a translator either, but at least I tried understanding what he said. Heck, I even understood what the guy responded to him. If you didn't understand, that's fine. No one expects you to speak Spanish, French, Arabic etc.
Considering that there are more Chinese speakers in the world, Chinese in all its forms is therefore a universal language (considering your logic). Also, once again, if I follow your logic, everyone should be bilingual... yet you are uni-lingual. So, if you want/expect/demand that people only speak one language on your RUclips channel, that would mean that at the very least, you should learn another language.
Just so you know, I'm not trying to troll you or anything. Being bilingual (knowing the official languages of my country), it highly frustrates me to see a person expecting another human being to speak their language, when they can't speak their counterpart's language.
I am still playing UO on the classic client, and I am still enjoying it since 2005.
A lot has been added to the game throughout the years which leaves the player with more choice than one can handle. A lot of alterations have also been made so if a player is in "hiatus" for a while, it might be hard to follow. As there aren't many players around anymore, newcomers will find it troublesome getting help and this could be a turnoff.

UO will always be my all time fav game, but now I play Shroud of the Avatar and love it. SoTA is much better these days and actually a really good game now.
I had a friend at school who'd say their dad's office was completely flooded with maps, books, notes etc. from UO and just like kids are today he had to ration his gametime! I ask myself regularly 'Where are the modern RPGs that can touch the intellectual intricacy and fascination of old style games'. Aha, who remembers Blades of Exile, and Avernum?

Fun memories, I played this way back when it was the only MMO in town. I had an archer/mage on Catskills shard. The Buc's Den pirates, the Shadowclan orcs. There was also that smithing guild that hung out on multiple servers, you could always find them by the brit bank, fixing folks' armor and selling stuff. Good times.

Clobberstomp - MMORPG's & More! I didn't until I watched the interview with Lord British on IGN. I've seen a few comments about that other game I might have to check it out. I've bee. Playing on UOR for the past fee years and love the classic style they have there.
It's P to open paperdoll. I think you can click on your own avatar to show the title over yourself, inc guild, but there is an option in settings. Spirit speak buffs up the power of Necromancy nowadays and to talk to dead players...it also regens health when used. Port Or Grav is lightening bolt. Vas Flam if fireball. Get yourself a set of armour that has 100% lower reagent cost and practice spell a lot til lyou can reliably do energy bolts and explodes. Energy Vortex is really good too but is a top end spell. Get eval intelligence for more magery spell power.
I would love to play this game with my friends but they'd blam it for being a 18 year old game. I couldn't get them to try Everquest or PSO blue burst which currently can only be played on a private server. I wish my friends were more open to playing older games. A game doesn't need to have great graphics. I actually prefer quirky graphics.

what ruined the old game for me was millions of grand masters and houses everywhere - then people began leaving - but before that it was so cool - the fun was going in a group of new players all helping each other and ganging up on monsters. - you can get strength up fast bu only using skills such as mining or wood cutting - then when you get the strength up high you torn down the mining and woodworking so you can raise your meditation and stamina same method i i was a GM Mag and Provoker but now i would love to be GM Pick Pocket Poisoner. :) I take all your bandages and poison you then go for your best weapons
I was in beta back in 96/97 then played for a few years. Then I picked it up again in early 2000's. Got a friend into it. Then in 2007 I started playing LoTRO. However my friend is still totally into UO and has played ever since I got him into it.
Yeah. I still have my signed collectors edition with cloth map and all. All boxed versions up to Samurai Empire. :)
This game is real! Death is real, hunger is real. Food actually stop hunger.. A house actually take up real space in the world, A real master piece.

Actually after a few days of searching I did finally came across the UO Elite free-to-play server. Which my new little Fisher-Tamer-Alchemist gal enjoys running around on a world map I remembered with NO threat of any attacks by some kill-crazed PKs... :D
My greatest memory of this game is from the first 2 months of its release!
It was totally crazy and wild. I became a GM Thief as I first character and pwoned until they nurfed the thief class.
This was before you could store anything in the bank but money so all had to carry around their good stuff...perf for us to steal!

Wow, this takes me back. Looks like inventory has boxes now, it used to be free form xy placement of items in a bag.
Better video cards back then could support 1920x1080, even in Mac OS 9! No stretching in scaling or anything weird. My beige PowerMac G3 from 1997 can even handle it with the right graphics card. You have to remember, we had HD digital resolutions as far back as the 80s, they just took a while to become accessible to everyone. By 1998 we even had HD VHS that could hold 50 GB per digital tape before Blu Ray came to market.

I first played in 99 before trammel it was all fellucia back then sucked trying to go out of town, and sitting at the bank got you robbed of your goodies. I still remember taking down an ancient wyrm solo with my archer. The good ol days
Wow, this takes me back, played during T2A on and off till the last update with the pet dragon turtles. It was fun, but had to explore a bit of other mmos. I might get back on it soon, brings me back. I thought there was different versions of the client which you can use the classic version or 3d emulated in which the backpacks can have no slots in the inventory like a click and drop.
Theres an awesome free shard called uo forever, it has more people playing than the official server and its all old school UO, not all of this new age weird stuff. Check it out, been playing there for years, still to this day. :)

You don't need to start a new toon if you don't want. You can just turn the skills up on the ones that you want and off on the ones you don't Making a MULE toon is good too so you can have him run errands for ya. Had one lug my ore around a lot.
I remember playing this on Dial UP on my gateway windows '98 upgraded the 500mb HD(back b4 HDD, SSD, even br stata and usb) ps/2 ports and serial ports IDE cables lol master and slave drives to 1gb

Oh wow! I remember playing that so long ago when it came out! I remember mining and making stuff a lot. I'd sell it and make money I think. But yeah, mining and wood working was what I enjoyed doing.
Place a boat in the water and gather up like 10 of those spectral spellbinders and let them hit you and you will get to 100 resist within an hour or so + max your intelligence.. They do magical damage spells and they can only hurt physically.. Meditation recovers your mana by the way, it governs your mana regeneration and then you can get more mana regeneration through armor pieces.
I was kinda tired when I wrote this lol.. I said that they do magical damage only. I meant that the spectral binders magic does not only and they only do damage physically.. You can let them cast spells on you all day and it doesn't hurt your character so long as they don't touch you and your resist just goes way up which is what the boat is for.. I am sure you have already tried it since I posted it.. :D
Well the game goes free 2 play at the end of the month anyways... You just can't own a house and there is a couple of other restrictions but it isn't really big of a deal.. I kinda wish they would allow housing on free accounts though.. I am trying to push for it cause at one point in UO you use to have to "refresh" your house by clicking the sign or it would fall within like 7 days.. I am trying to convince the devs to bring that back and let the free players place a limited size house (so a small house like a 8x8) the reason why is cause a lot of the landscape is very, very barren on a lot of shards except for Atlantic and I would like to see it fill back up because it would make houses like my castle that I have way more expensive, it would up the price on my castle and 18x18s that I have..

I was actually considering getting a subscription, too. My friend reactivated his old account and started playing again, and asked me to come play. He also mentioned Legends of Aria, which is supposed to be UO 2. Supposedly coming out on the 17th or something of this month. Haven't checked it out yet, though.

I'll have to ask my friend what he's planning to do, because I'll end up doing whatever he does. LOL. I'll know by tonight or tomorrow. The game is rumored to be around $40 on Steam, though no price has officially been set or declared, and it's not on Steam yet. There's no monthly subscription fee. It's buy the game, play unlimited for free after. They said they _might_ have to charge a monthly fee if you host your own server (to covering expenses), and each player owned server can link with other player servers through some sort of "cluster mechanic," allowing for massive worlds (assuming multiple server links). It all sounds cool in theory. Lol. Since the launch is supposedly around the 17th or 21st of this month (might be for "founders" who donated or bought packs during development; they get 1-week early access, so official release might not be until the end of September or beginning of October), I don't think I will be getting a UO subscription. I'll probably just wait for Aria and try it out. If it gets pushed back to November or something, for whatever reason (doubtful), then yeah... I'll probably get a UO subscription for a few months.
Oh. You can actually become a "Pledge" and pay $40 all the way up to $5,000 to play the game now, in the beta, and you will get 1-week early access before it opens to Steam. 1/4 slots for the $5,000 pledge. Damn... Someone dumped $5,000 on this game already. O_o

Atlantic is where everyone plays now days from what I've seen. Still got 14 vet rewards to choose from lol. Economy is shot on this game tho when buying from players. The npc prices haven't ever changed tho or home cost. Prty easy to find a spot for large keep or 18x18s on pac. But yea, I remember starting back in early 2000. Was fun then.

I was hoping you all could help to suggest 8 REALLY dorky Skill combinations for me to try, with just 1 being a fighting skill (like Wrestling, clubs, kitchen knives, fishing poles etc...).
Maybe one of you could finally reveal that truly perfect skill combination to go with Begging that I've always been unable to discover... ;)

you misunderstand, I know that UO was first. What I mean is that when it was at its height, the UI didn't look like that. It looks like at some point, they adopted design elements from WoW. UO didn't have quests or exclamation point quest markers at launch. It was a sandbox in the early 2000s

I could sit behind your chair for 3 months where you play this game as your only waking thing to do. I would answer questions and and give tips on how to do things. Let you know what, what and when on game play that would be completely missed after years of trying to teach/learn yourself. The game is massive. The need for a three ring binder set on how to play UO was never made. And shows how clueless those that sculpt the world are on what drives an MMO. UO was one of the first MMO to take off and they did not believe or see the game would last. In comes the cheats and hacks and their greed to want to stop it. Three years later most players are using some 3rd party programs and lining their pockets trumped their TOS. In ten more years when the current player base dies of old age........UO's other foot will slip in that 6ft.
UO's driving force from the start was the community. I was one those players that would help new players in game. And I hate to type says how much I enjoyed the game and wanted other to. With all the 3rd party abuse and boting compounded by duping. I later would not even recommend the game to my worse enemies. I still have 3 active accounts and have played maybe 6 times in the last 2 years. I currently am thinking of just pulling the plug and letting the bot IDOCers have all I collected in 17+ years. Let three Historic homes just decay. And no you may not have my stuff.
The game could be something again. Those that own and pull the strings do not know or want to invest in that. It takes less effort to make a new fly by night game that comes and goes. That plucks a few coin fro your pocket. Rinse and repeat with a new shiny game. UO taught them it takes more to keep a game afloat then to fling something new out there. Last few generations lack the honor and/or ability to commit to even the small things in life. Hell a car has not been made in decades that is intended to last as long as UO has.
Even if some hardcore UO veteran made 100+ videos on how to play UO. And lets say there was a fresh surge of players in a dead game. Those in charge would not take that new infusion of wealth to support that person to keep on. They will just milk that cow and not waste one cent on hay. Those in charge would still starve. Due to that fact after the cow dies and they are clueless there is a pile of meat in front of them.
New term today class is "Zombified Game." UO is exactly that. The game has died but still goes on. Thanks to the 1% that realize after a few months of game play - UO is not that elephant they want to eat one bite at a time. Last 99% invested too much of their time to let go. And they would not curse anyone in a will with their UO account information. Unless they are a hated enemy. UO should be preserved. But like a Cabbage Patch Kid museum - who will eat that cost and have the time to do that?
