The idea of Mommy Long-Legs liking games ( even sabotaging them to prevent the player from winning )and acting somewhat motherly reminded me of the "Other Mother" from Coraline. Even when Experiment 1006 ( The Prototype ) appeared, it also reminded me of the Other Mother's severed hand.
I KNOW.
The first words I had said after seeing that hand get her dismembered body were-
"FUCK TYPE OF CORALINE SHIT IS THIS??"
then the hand at the end?

Kissy missy has expressed some “higher” intelligence to huggy wuggy, instead of attacking you or like what Huggy did and hid away to better hunt you, she instead opens the door and helps you, showing that she isn’t the enemy by helping you solve the puzzle.
I found it cute how she looks at the player before pulling the lever as if she was asking the player if they wanted to open the door, and then did it.

I have a theory that Kissy Missy is originally really really kind but with a strong attitude and personality. But like Poppy, she's trapped inside the whole facility. From eating, hunting, repeat, I bet that she just got depressed. She doesn't wanna continue being sentient anymore. She doesn't wanna kill anymore. That's why she is weak. She tried 2x in pulling the lever before disappearing. She maybe smiling but she can't exactly change expressions. She's just tired, sad and just wanna end it all. That's why she's helping the player.

I really felt bad for mommy long legs, she seemingly was pretty nice to anyone who wasn’t a playtime co. employee, a piece of paper you can collect said she liked the orphans, she liked the other experiments, she just specifically didn’t like the staff, and if matpat is right, that she was an employee who was forcefully turned into a monster by playtime co. that just makes it sad, also there is a document you can collect that tells us her human name. (The document said her name was Marie Payne.)

I think it was the part when her head fell tu of the grinder and it was all happy. When she was getting grinded she was frowning but when she death froze her hands were all gross looking and she was back with a smiley face and blood from her mouth. It was terrifying.

Horror games never really scare me. But THIS had me on edge the entire time. I can say the Mommy LL is much more terrifying than Huggy.

Huggy is scary like an animal is scary: just mindless teeth and strength and speed. Mommy is insidious and cunning and fakely sweet, plus there's the uncanny valley of a human figure stretched way, way too long.

I’m almost certain the “prototype” is the player, tapes talk about it being intelligent and prone to violence and we see both of those attributes in the player. Not to mention the death text of “the prototype will save us” the player is the one saving them. Thus the player is the prototype. Just a theory at this point
I agree. Mostly because of theories on experiment 1006 which was thought to be Huggy Wuggy but in one of the tapes it says that he is actually experiment 1007. The theory can be proven over time but that is all we have for now
But in that same tape, you can see the same hand that grabbed mommy long legs but your theory is still believable

Mommy long legs actually killed everyone who failed there job and string them up on the ceiling causing them to die lack of food because Mommy at the first part of the game when he meet her she said "Obey the rules or else I'll rip you apart and eat your guts with you still alive" but he doesn't obey the rules and she wants to play hide and seek and she finds he so she chase's him so he ran it the room with the grinder she sticks her hand on it he pulls the lever she reacts and say "Why did you do that you make me part of him" and she gets taken away by 0001

Ludwig was censored becasue of the things he did (I think). Mommy wanted the player to play the games for her entertainment. The last one was made for you to lose, as the exit was blocked out, but you escape, that's why she starts being desperate and luring you back, saying that you won. She just wanted to watch you die.
What if we are ludwig the main reason we dont see ludwigs face is because its ours it would make sense
The prototype is the final boss most likely, at the end she screamed “don’t make me a part of him” which means that prototype is taking dead or injured toys and making them into body parts. So it’s possible that prototype may have ludwigs consciousness in him; in the previous game, it was stated that humans, adults and kids souls were put together in toys. The kids were put to suppress the violent tendencies in adult souls, which also leads me to believe that kissy missys hosts are either united or she only has a child’s soul and is probably protecting more children.

At the beginning, it's says "The Prototype Saved Us. Isn't He Wonderful?". It's obviously not Huggy Wuggy who saved 'us'. And it's definitely not any other 'toy'. Okay, so, in the ending (SPOILER ALERT) Poppy doesn't let us escape. Why? She was originally planning to let us escape. Although, she saw our potential and strength during these games and defeating Mommy Long Legs. She decided to keep us and change plans because she thought we could save them. Back to what the death message said. "The Prototype Saved Us. Isn't He Wonderful?". We know that this is *most likely* Poppy talking to us. She wants us to wake up to save them. But, this message could be Poppy thinking that we will save them. She just wasn't sure yet. And when we finally defeated Mommy Long Legs, she decided to change plans and confirmed what she thought about us, and thats why she said we're too perfect lose, because we ARE too prefect to lose, so perfect that she needs us to stay in order to save 'us'. Therefore making us the prototype.
(I, originally, started this theory.)
(EDIT: Poppy, most likely, needs us to defeat the claw.... monster, thingy, who took away Mommy Long Legs. Not to mention, the claw's arm has a human bone on it :3 also, the claw is the same one as the hand shown on one of the tapes from chapter one! )
omg thats such a great theory.... i feel like poppy never wanted to hurt us. but she also wanted to save the factory. so her scaring the player i feel like will motivate them to go farther just for poppy to save everyone.

53:36 eddy might be the third person I've seen play chapter 2 but he is the first I've seen do this puzzle the right way, theres a bug here where if you carefully walk along the ledge in between the 2 nodes and crouch under the pipe thats supposed to block you, you can just complete it without even touching the green bits or the poles at the bottom
1:24:30 another thing that sets Eddy apart from the others I've seen is that they found this bit disturbing, while Eddy is just laughing, like I was, cause cmon, this is straight out of a cartoon
You know, I bet those cardboard cut outs of each of the Poppy Playtime characters represent the order of bosses that the players will encounter throughout the whole game. The first 3 cardboard cutouts were Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Longlegs, and Kissy Missy (I have feeling that Kissy Missy is a good character and not a boss). The next cardboard characters that weren't interactive bosses in chapter 2 were Bron, Candy Cat, Cat Bee, and Boogie Bot. Therefore, I have a feeling that Bron will be the main boss in Poppy Playtime chapter 3, Candy Cat will be the main boss in chapter 4, Cat Bee will be the main boss in chapter 5, Boogie Bot will be the main boss in chapter 6, and the creepy, mysterious prototype (the large metal hand of the monster that takes Mommy Longlegs' corpse in the end) will be the main boss in chapter 7. The first hallway the player enters into in chapter 2 also has pictures of Huggy Wuggy on the left side and Bron on the right side, while the player is heading towards the middle door, which leads to Mommy Longlegs, which hints even more that Bron will be the next boss by going in the order from Huggy Wuggy (left side), Mommy Longlegs (center), and then Bron (right side).
Edit: Whoops, I forgot about the flower character cardboard cut out. She would be the main boss after Bron and before Candy Cat.

i think your right. the claw will be the last boss because i think when mommy says when she dies "YOU'LL MAKE ME APART OF HIM" is the claw makeing all of the bosses into one? first when huggy died maybe mommy was told "if you bring me huggy and the others dead you will live. but if you fail you'll be apart of him..." mommy said yes because she didnt want to die. mommy wanted two things 1. the player 2.to live as long as she can. she didnt want to die by the player. side stuff: maybe poppy and the claw whoever he is. are they both working on this "thing" together? or is the claw going after poppy in chapter 9?
