- The beautiful location of Hondagua (Quezon Province, Philippines). A once very important seaside railway yard.
August 2022
Hondagua is a major yard along the main south line and in the province of Quezon (Philippines).
It opened in May 1916 and consisted of a large yard, including a triangle that also served the local flour mill.
The area remains a main base for workers and a local track gang.
Hondagua also has the distinction of being allocated the very last observation car of the old Manila Railroad.
Currently train movements are infrequent here, but it there is an expectation that services will commence in the future
In this 2022 series, we visit several locations from Manila, through Laguna, Quezon, Bicol, and over to Masbate. This will all be covered here on our RUclips channel, along with my Philippine railway and travel blogs below.
Please enjoy, or hate, or even be totally indifferent. That choice is solely up to you.

Gday mate, always remember I am happy to help with ideas and questions.
Hopefully we both find ourselves there at the same time one day.
Once I 'semi-retire' there it will be a lot easier to do that :-)
very great work
Thank you mate.
You should visit again
I can guarantee it.
Long been determined to actually get trains moving there.
One of my favourite spots.
You should probably follow the PNR port line from Tutuban all the way to where it went
A good idea.
Now PNR has closed, I shall be looking for something new
Wait you're the guy in the PRHS member live chat? But i do remember that you are a modulator
I am everywhere LOL. :-)
I started two things over the years. 'Philippine Railway Historical Society' and 'Semi-Retired Foamer'.
I am usually involved with all the related forums, websites, and this RUclips channel.
Oh ok
Sir that structure is the guard house and the switch house
Ahhh thanking you for that.
Good to know.
