Hey Brett. If you're going through a rough time and are feeling discouraged, then I want to let you know you to hang in there and keep going. I may not have commented much on your videos, but your content has helped me to learn and keep persisting. From one game developer to another: take care and hope you continue making more content soon!
You're tutorial series is really well done so far and the videos have been super helpful! I really appreciate the time you put into these. I'm also stoked to see UI related stuff. I'm loving Godot but the UI workflow has been so frustrating. I hit problems (with my understanding) a lot and it seems like I'm the only person on the internet that doesn't get how it should work. So I really appreciate you explaining it!
Thanks so much for the kind words and support! I definitely want to do more videos about the UI system in Godot, as it's a real time saver compared to rolling it all yourself (at least I've found that to be the case). More to come eventually!
Just read your new blog post, the Rust + raylib caught my eye! And then you said you've also written Haxe! I've dabbled in haxe and really think it's a cool language but getting started with making a game in it was brutal, ended up moving over to writing in Go haha Really want to do some haxe stuff at some point though
Hi Brett! I saw your game website and saw myself in you. Just wanted to say I'm already a big fan and I hope you someday return to this channel! You seem really cool.
can you use conditional statements in the middle of paragraphs without it creating a new line, so that certain text in the middle of paragraphs is only generated if certain conditions are met?
When I bump up the font size value (with the box checked), nothing happens. I have my theme set to empty and the type variation set to HeaderLarge, just like you do. What am I missing?
This is helpful, particularly the point that text shown in the UI will be overridden by text populated by code. Would welcome a video on the area2d, character2d and rigidbody2d nodes and their use cases as I don’t think the online docs are particularly clear (might be that I just need to read the docs a bit more carefully!)
Oh yeah, Dave! That's a definite topic I'll cover as it's quite confusing! That video will be titled something like 2D Collision with Godot Explained where all of those are covered in depth. Might be a while, but it'll happen eventually. Thanks for the support!
In the project settings Display > Window do you have "Allow hiDPI" checked? Here's some more info on that: ruclips.net/video/DSWmXg8b2VU/видео.html Or do you mean the engine text is blurry? Unsure about that! Are you running Godot version 4?

Where'd you go? Taking a break or something?

Would love to see more Godot tutorials in the future!
Thanks. I didn't see the 'BB Code Enabled' checkbox and couldn't figure out why tags weren't working.

do you know how to controle projectsettings in gd script in godot 4 ?

I had to delete the label and make a new one. Now it works. Strange. I must've made some setting change that Godot didn't like.

Hello sir. Will you please make a tutorial on how to publish godot game on blogger. Please please
I'm unsure if Blogger supports file uploads, but you could link to a Google Drive or Dropbox file link from your blog posts or upload to itch.io.
how is your text so crisp? On my Mac it is always so blurry (In Godot that is)
In the project settings Display > Window do you have "Allow hiDPI" checked? Here's some more info on that: ruclips.net/video/DSWmXg8b2VU/видео.html
Or do you mean the engine text is blurry? Unsure about that! Are you running Godot version 4?
Hope you are doing well. Missing you man.
