Sax tone: how much mouthpiece in mouth?

Thanks for sharing your advice and instruction! This is a very important aspect of getting "your sound". Another teacher that I admire explains it this way. Place your upper teeth straight above the point at which the reed leaves (begins to separate from) the mouthpiece rails.
