Now I can tackle the stains on my new carpet. My cat decided after installation that he's almost 16 so he now gets to vomit all over it. Wish me luck! I will refer to you plenty in the future cuz I consider myself a bit of a "do it yourselfer". Thanks also for getting right to it and not being a "Chatty Kathy". I hate that business
Sorry about your cat. Try some probiotics for the cat and some gentle stomach food. Purina makes it that help with my cat's vomiting issues. Now she doesn't vomit anymore but she's about 15 or 16 years old maybe even more

Very appreciative of the guy who created this tutorial, God knows Hoover's "support" isn't any help. I'll share my results and possibly save people some more time and headache. To start, I think using it as a carpet cleaner does a great job, I really do. However on upholstery, did a very poor job. Does the spin brush work? Yep, and it spins about as fast as your 90 yr old nana would churning butter, but it does spin. Does it suck up the dirty water? Yep, and you can apply that same logic in my last sentence here. I used half the tank of water and it picked back up just shy of 1/4 of the water used. The water it did pick up was dirty, no doubt, but there's 3/4 of it left behind. Now, if that equals clean to you, then have a go, but if you're like me and know what CLEAN really is, this thing won't do the job. Further, this was all done on my cloth couch (yes I checked the fabric labels) and it's a standard cloth couch, nothing fufu-ey. I used the spin brush (which did very little imo), the large flat scrubber that was a bust, and I'm here to give a shout out to the little guy!! That little tiny flat scrubber you think is probably trash, that was MY HERO, at helping pull up any water this little machine even could muster up. My two cents - call a professional or find another machine, this was a waste of time, on upholstery to be clear.

Very detailed video. Even the cleanup at the end... The only thing I would do in addition to what you did is put a box fan or something in front of the machine and all the parts for a few hours to blow everything dry....You know that screen on the bottom front when you take the lens off? Let air blow through that screen to dry the turbine that spins the brushes on the inside....it will hopefully help keep it from rusting...I think a lot of people store them away for a year or so and when they go to use it the brushes stop spinning... it's because they didn't dry it out before storing it... These are my favorite types of carpet cleaners but they have to be babied somewhat..
I just ordered a newer machine and the hose is easier to connect. Thank goodness. I’m planning on order some additional heads as the carper cleaner I order only comes with one
Are you suppose to do a rinse cycle after you do a wash cycle? My brand new machine seems to spray soapy water whether or not the knob is turned to wash or rinse. Any ideas?

That is the exact link I used when I bought the shampooer. I do not know why it is not in the picture. I didn’t know it came with that part when I bought it. Hope this helps

I've tried with all my might to remove the solution tube nozzle (for the accessories) but it's stuck. Is there a trick? I'm ready to reach for a screwdriver to pry it off.
It certainly works on upholstery, but I find the vacuum is so slight that it removes only a small amount of liquid. From what I can see there is no way to place clean water on the upholstery so I am left with cleaning solution still in the fabric. Is there something I'm missing? Thank you
something must be wrong because these hoovers really extract the water....I can soak my berber with more water than I should...it sucks up the water so well and with a fan they are dry in 5 hours. My hose has never been used because I have one of those small little portable ones that I use for that...The only reason I watch videos like this sometimes is because it gives me ambition to clean when I don't have any .. LOL
In some, the internal pump just doesn't have enough force to push the water through the tube and up an incline. I've reported and replaced mine twice and still have the same problem.

Does it matter what name brand carpet shampoo solutuion you use? I used to rent a store machine and have a supply of Bissell brand shampoo. Thoughts?

The trigger spray kept getting stuck and solution wouldn’t stop coming out. How do I prevent this from happening?
