we need to normalize these fancy showers (I got it for $30 at walmart) man 😞 my apartment got anti-vandal whatever type of plastic weakass water showerhead making it hard to remove. anyway thank you, I will try this
You are very welcome, we are here to help!!! $30.00 is not a bad price. Let us know if you have any questions, looking forward to hearing back from you.
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders I DO have a question, if it isn't a bother. It's stuck and I'm afraid to put much pressure on it (I'm using 2 wrenches). Sigh...I'm such a girl. Also, it's been there since 1964. Happy holidays to you.
@@ceci8556 Thanks for the reply & any update? If it’s been on that long, it is very possible that it is calcified inside making it very difficult to remove. You may see greenish calcium powdering out at connection. You may need to spray it with white vinegar & allow to sit for several hours. Keep us posted.
My diverter is a knob style not a pull. Is process the same, just remove the knob like the hot /cold knobs? That's logical, but plumbing knows no logic....
K.C.D 15 Thanks for watching & we hope the video helped. It’s very possible that your Shower Head has calcified...meaning a build-up of calcium is making it a little trickier to unscrew. Just be very patient & careful as you work through removing part... The last thing you want to do is damage the internal plumbing behind the wall... that would not be good....😲 We really enjoy making these helpful videos for our fellow DIY’ers! How to replace tub faucet like this one. The tab won't stay up and most water runs thru tub faucet and not the shower head??

Now you’re scaring me about causing harm to the pipe coming out the wall. 😱 I hope I do well, since no one else knows how to do it in my house.
Awesome video thank you 🙏

It's pretty depressing when the "old" shower head here looks better than the new one I'm installing. I guess my old one is officially an antique.
Thanks for watching & is it still working? Let us know if you have any questions, enjoy your night.
