Someone posted this on my WhatsApp group page, I had to search it out on RUclips. So proud of this performance. It reminds me of my mother; she joined the ancestors recently. Thank you Zeynab, keep the good work on!
I am happy to be born of a Yewa Mother, but an Egba Father hence I love any Bolojo Music anytime, anyday I come across it as it soothes my body and brings me closer to my Yoruba Heritage. Kudos to This Group. I love You ALL
Oderinde Olayinka I was born in Lagos but my yoruba ancestors were Egbas but don’t know where most of them were from but my maternal grandmother says she is from Ofada in Ogun state.
Nigerians need to invite her to Nigeria to sing for our people. especially the Yoruba speaking must recognize and invite this great singer. she is superbly talented. may God continue to bless u Zeinab. U are powerful and great.
I wonder what we are turning this century into as many comments I have read about this lady are referencing she is from Benin Republic. Let us get one thing straight which the Oduduwa kingdom and I believe the Ooni Oosa is aware of. She has descendants from Ile-Ife as she speaks Anago fluently being descendants of Save or Ketou. What I would expect Ooni Oosa to do is to integrate and promote Anago cultures by revisiting the kingdoms created by Seven prominent children of Oduduwa which are Onipopo of Popo, Onisabe of Sabe, Alaketu of Ketu, Orangun of Ila, Olowu of Owu, Alaafin of Oyo, and Oba of Benin. Diverse oral traditions have existed to support and refuse these claims but the Ooni Oosa can shed light into this by promoting cultural and traditional synergies among these kingdoms.
I discovered your music on OG and came to find you. Àrà mi ó sé púpò. My written Yoruba isn't so good, but I can't speak so well, and I especially enjoy how i can make out the meaning of some words that aren't so familiar to me. If only we could tear down our colonial borders and all come together as one again.
I find it hard to believe that this video and that such a goddess had existed for years and I never knew about it. A friend uploaded about 5minutes on whatsapp group today Aug 2018 . I was so captivated that I wanted to know the singer. I searched using so many keywords before I finally got her. This chick is a diadem. She deserves not only a bet, mtv but also a grammy awards. Dont know what to say again. Love you girl. Please if u are ever nominated for any award, make it Known so we can vote and mobilise People to vote. Ka lo so loja
I just love and appreciate this unique adaptation of Bolojo music. She is simply good. Some Ekiti/Owo musicians still sing in authentic and appealing way. But Zeynab is really very good.
I think I have pretty much listened to this song every day since the start of the year. Amazing video, people, singing, and lyrics. Oh and the drums!!! They get me EVERY time. Ase.
Me too! I found Zeynab Ouloukèmi Abib last year. I just keep coming back to listen to this very particular Bolojo "Medley" song. I have watched all Zeynab videos on RUclips too this one is my favorite one.
@@isidorefoli6654 I can understand your dialect with some attention. I noticed that Ife in Togo use "Che" and in Nigeria we use "She", so Ife in Togo would say "E ku iche", while Ife in Nigeria will likely say, "E ku ishe". There are also some tonal adjustments I have to make but it seems that 100% of the words are the same
I love this music even though I'm from Zambia. Would be great to get the English translated lyrics. Actually would be good to get translations to your very unique music. Thanks.
Echeoun
I'm listening from here in Brazil 2024 🇧🇷
Am proud yoruba from Nigeria, but love all yoruba all over the World. ❤
This music of Zainab is my choice to end 2023! Let us show love to Zainab in this beautiful Yoruba cultural music. Oya, let's all get up and dance!

Point of correction the Yewas owns Bolojo. Forget Ekiti Owo...do ur research more
This is a remix of the song by thr legendary Bolojo king, Jossy Friday
Ekiti Owo ke.. I'm from Ekiti, we don't own Bolojo music, that is the Yewas. Please correct your statement.
Well done Madam Zeynab
Someone help me please. I'm addicted to this song!!
Same here.
You are not alone, I have played it over 20 times today
One of my fave African song of all time
Du courage ma soeur
One thing I like about the Yoruba culture is no matter what it manages to survive because our people are proud of our heritage.
It’s sad that the dialects are dying out .
