From what I've heard, if you take the deal she offers in exchange for Tommie getting picked, _and then_ kill her, Tommie will get his happy ending... or rather, "least bad" ending.
I also heard that if you do kill her and then go back to that to the location later, you can find messages from several parents worrying about the whereabouts of their children.
Maybe it's not the best idea to kill her...
