@@RetroSuperhighway I blew the fan header on it at some point, other than that, superb. Especially that overclocking option. But you will be limited, go for ASUS.
DFI AD77 motherboard manuals are downloadable in wayback machine. Start with dfi website from somewhere 2005 and browse through products to desired motherboard.
Thanks! Thats a great tip, I ofter use archive.org / way back machine for software, but never remember to use it for things like manuals and documentation.
Interesting, I'm going to be using an Socket 462 Athlon in an upcoming project, maybe this one would be a good one to pull out and check. Thanks for the tip!
AMD processors/boards are weird from this era. I have a Duron 1.6 (according to what it says on the die itself, but refuses to identify as anything other than a 900MHz no matter what I do with jumpers or BIOS settings. Another identical Duron I have reports correctly - all the same hardware including board, and settings. I also have a Sempron that thinks it's a Duron 600MHz.
Yeah, I think everyone who has or had hardware from this time has some weird experiences of it not working as it should. Possible longsort, your Duron hasn't had the bridges on top messed about with has it, causing it to be reported at as 900MHz part?
I don't think so, there doesn't appear to be any signs of such, although it's a while since I looked at it - it's currently in a small system I built to run from an SD card via an adaptor and I run FreeDOS/Win 98SE with it so the lower speed suits me fine as it happens ;-)
I had that QDI LEGEND board, what a beaut.
Probably the most interesting board in the bundle, it would be nice to build a system around it to try it out a bit more.

The N1996 text is basically in every MSI product. The dead P4 board is a MSI OEM board, MS-6772 to be exact. :)
Thats brilliant! Thanks for the info, I'll add it to the video description.

I think that 1500MHz Athlon XP might actually be a 266 FSB XP 2400+ There are no 200FSB (100MHz) x15 models except in the MP server type
