I have this guitar since almost 1 year. I changed the strings to Martin 11-52, changed the plastic nut and saddle with natural bone and replace the platic pins with rosewood pins, set low the action, changed the black pickguard, and I can say that it's an awesome sounding and looking guitar for the 350 dollar paid for the guitat, and all the changes made on it. It's a loud, clear, rich sounding guitar, nice finished, and well setted it's very confortable to play strumed or fingerpicking also. Compared to a Yamaha LL6, Yamaha FG 850, Yamaha APX 700, Yamaha CPX 600 or Fender CC140, unplugged, it is on those guitars level at any time even if the Yamaha LL6 or APX 700 are more expensive... So if you like the Nex shape or you are mostly a fingerpicker like me, and is enough for you the 43mm nut widtht, you can not go wrong with this killer budget Takamine....but if you have big hands or thick finger than you can search for 45-46mm nut width guitars like Cort L200 or Baton Rouge X54 JF for example whici are in this price range and has similar spects like this Takamine.
