Angie lived in misery for so long and was neglected for so long only to find her tumour had turned malignant . Then she dies from the disease in August 2018 . One of the most heartbreaking programmes I have ever watched . Of course it's beyond belief that her tumour was allowed to grow in the way that it did . Unforgiveable .
Difficult to forgive, but not impossible. I do believe some of the doctors should be held accountable, though.
@@geoculus5606 I hope she would have gone earlier before it turned to cancer. Shame on the doctor that ignore this woman and diagnosed her wrongly.
@@misstee2190 wym? She went from doctor to doctor for years. To get on this show is a long process also
After she said it was cancerous I wondered if she was winning her battle and it saddens me to know she passed in 2018. It's really heartbreaking because it could have been avoided if it were removed when smaller. This is why I want the healthcare system in our country overhauled. Angie should still be here living her life with her family!
@@sakser Overhauled to what. People are neglected and put off even more when govt has a say in it.
These doctors are an example that young people should look up to! Heroes.
You do know the patient died in 2018 at age 50. Everyone did their job. Did the system of specialty doctors fail her???
@@2148aa Doctors can't always save a patient's life, no matter how good they are.
@@blitzspitz You want to live to be old. Work on life style. Treatment by a group of specialists often lead to conflicts that kills the patient. A good and simple general practitioner is life saving and rare.

@@2148aa all the doctors prior to these two last ones failed her…
It was so kind of these doctors to give her this operation for free. I know she ended up dying later from the cancer, but they for sure made her feel better instantly after they removed the tumor. They made her final years happy.
How do you know she died? Is there an article somewhere?
Omg after all that she died???? Jeeez!
She shouldn't have died in the first place. How was it allowed to grow that large?

Truth 🙌🏼🙏🏼
Well he misdiagnosed her and said it's benign it wasn't
T@@Bambotb Tidied
@@Bambotb other doctors told her it was benign without treating her. THESE doctors did what was required to test it WHI,E treating her. A diagnosis of malignancy requires a biopsy. Digging into a lump and waiting weeks for a result was not necessary. Lumps are often removed THEN assessed rather than the other way around. These wonderful doctors did not misdiagnose her at all.

Chris Collins from cancer that spread from the tumor to her lungs
@@carolmiller8310 AMEN
@Chris Collins and so what? Did you even watch the video? Did you hear the reason why she died? Where did you put your so called high IQ?
She died because she was not told the truth to begin with so she waited for years before meeting these two Doctors who told her it was benign at the beginning of the growth but became malignant because she waited too long to come to them by which it had *ALREADY* spread to her lungs.
Why do you want to insinuate she died because two black Doctors worked on her. You can not reason probably but claim to have high IQ? If this is how high IQ works , I am sorry I want to have my low IQ because we seem to think better than high IQ folks. Stupid fool.
What gets me is the other doctors who just told her to find a specialist and didn't refer her to one. how do they still have licenses? They left her at risk.
Jewkesman because she was going to military so called doctor's, which they don't know what they are doing
Unfortunately Cadumbblonde Riley is 100% accurate on this one. I went in the military with scoliosis (curved spine), I was only accepted into the militarybecause the doctor that examined me before going to boot camp said the curve wasn't significant enough to cause me trouble. 4 years later my back hurt to the point where it was affecting how well I did on fitness tests which in turn affects promotion, and if your scores are bad enough it can get you kicked out. So I went to the doctors where I was stationed and was told to give it a 2 month rest with no physical activity and I would be fine. 2 months later I'm back and still in pain. This went on for another 3 years before they FINALLY referred me to a local orthopedic surgeon (in the city, not a military doctor) who said the curve in my spine was in fact significant and it was no wonder that after 4-7 years of training and lifting heavy equipment that I was in pain, and that I should focus on strengthening certain areas of my back to support the curve. His answer wasn't good enough for the doctors on base, they wouldn't give me the waivers I needed to avoid fitness tests until my back was strong enough so I wound up failing them all and left the military shortly after. Now my back is strong, I even worked on a farm and shoveled asphalt for a living while taking college classes and am experiencing only minor discomfort at the end of a day and only after working hard all day. Loads of people these days know that the medical support that veterans receive from the Department of Veteran's Affairs is absolute trash, but what isn't as well known (by civilians anyway) is that the medical problems we face after the military is often the result of shitty doctors while we were still in active duty!
Jewkesman She probably had to deal with the VA
Kimberly Sawatzky If she is not a veteran herself, she cannot use the VA. The VETERANS AFFAIRS (aka VA) hospitals and clinics are only for military veterans, not their dependents. However, the military doctors that dependents see while the sponsor is active is usually the same low grade service the military person deals with also, unless they have an actual civilian doctor who actually went through the double digit years of medical training (which is rare).
lilmommalady76 Did you not watch and listen to this video ? Her husband is in the military.

I am so sad to hear this beautiful lady passed away. It’s so real to me as I had this 3 years ago. My tumor was just barely visible. It was months before a doctor knew what I had. If doctors had removed it sooner I would have been saved a lifetime of pain. The surgery was successful, but nerves were cut which has left me with the unbelievable pain of Trigeminal Neuralgia.

She only had 2 short years to enjoy life without a large tumor on the side of her face. Rest in Peace, Angie

So incredible that the two surgeons were able to remove that and she has her facial functions. If you see a small lump, and it’s growing. Get someone who will biopsy it and will remove it before it gets to the next level. Can’t play around with our health.

James H I have what shud i do now
She went to numerous doctors that all gave her a shitty, non accurate diagnosis.
This is one reason i don't even want to think about going to a hospital for any reason, because most doctors are dishonest and charge you an arm and a leg to tell you some bullshit that's incorrect or that you already know.
@@NightmareCourtPictures most doctors are honest and sincere in helping you. The submitted bill to insurance is to at least coup their exact costs. Insurance pays a set percentage which is very low. Just check you ins. statement closely and you will see what the hospital and doctor are reimbursed. Case in point, I am a sever diabetic. My ins says they saved me $1,200 on a month supply of a medicine. My cost was $40 copay. My sister, a pharmacist, admitted that no one ever pays $1,200. So why do the ins statement say i saved $1,200? Insurance and drug companies are the culprit, not the doctors. Look at what the lab reimbursement amt is.
These two Doctors are handsome, intelligent and have gifted hands such a dynamic duo
Those two doctors are very handsome, so intelligent...👏👏👏
But is it only looks. They would do the same work Even if they weren't handsome....in your eyes.
Gorgeous inside and out. They belong on that stage.
I was told my tumor was benign too; but it wasn't. I took my doctors advice to come back in a year. A year later, he still blew me off, saying it was benign. Started to say he was 100% sure, corrected himself and said 99% sure and that he'd send me for a biopsy to calm my fears. Imagine my shock when the surgeon called me and told me I had cancer. After the fact I discovered my doctor didn't follow protocol. I decided if I died b/c of the cancer I'd have my brother sue him. I lived and 27 years later have had no recurrence.. There is no excuse for this kind of thing to happen. I had good medical insurance too. Money was not even an issue. The issue was the doctor. DO NOT TRUST YOUR DOCTOR 100%. They are not God. They are humans and imperfect. I wonder how many other women got a delayed diagnosis and paid with their lives b/c of my doctor.
My sister paid with her life, her stupid @ss doctor told her she had a benign fibroid. It had obvious malignant characteristics, it was blocking her cervix and grew rapidly. She waited about 6 months and went to a different doctor who did a lot of tests and did surgery. Money wasn't even an issue, my sister had insurance, etc. She got very good treatment afterwards but died in the end. Don't put off things for too long get a 2nd opinion, etc
See my comments under Jo March. My husband's GP said the same as your first dr...he wasn't as lucky as you. Well done for persevering. Best of luck to you and lots of love.
I'm so glad you're okay.
I had a lump, and went to the doctor (not my regular doctor) and he said it was nothing. I actually had 2 lumps (one on my hip, and one under my breast). I asked him if he could at least refer me for a mammogram. He said yes, give the receptionist all your information, and she will get you in. I was going to see my family doctor a month later, and I mentioned to him about the lumps ... he said to me that he was going to send me for a "fast-track" mammogram, which was set up for the following Monday. By Thursday, I was diagnosed with lymphoma. I spent 3 months in the hospital with intense chemotherapy, total body radiation, and a stem cell transplant. If I had listened to the first doctor, I would not be here now because the type of cancer I had, Burkitt Lumphoma, is a very aggressive cancer. Thank god for my family doctor!!

Quit referring to them as " black" doctors...they are doctors plain and simple...the Hippocratic oath does not refer to anyones color who swears to the oath...
I think referencing their race is fine. Often people of color in the medical field don't get the respect they deserve. Racist patients ignorantly assume that they are not capable because they are not white. Some patients even refuse non-white doctors. There's nothing wrong with celebrating the great job these two black doctors did.
Nabi Sonyeo First off, I've never heard of anyone refusing life changing surgery from someone because of their skin colour, secondly, why praise them because their black? If they were white you wouldn't be saying "Well done to the two white doctors"
You don't know what you're talking about, please just stop. You sound incredibly ignorant.
Because white people have far more access to schooling and opportunities than people of color. Not to mention racial bias in hospitals and jobs in general. And yes, there are plenty of stories about people refusing medical care because of a doctors race or religion.
What about colleges that are primarily black? Are they just colleges?
Thank you Doctors for helping this woman. I have had cist removed for the last 40 years and keep having them done. Please everyone don not wait.

these two doctors are heros!
If you ever find a lump and a doctor says don't worry about it, you damn well better worry about it, no matter where it is on your body. A 22 year old woman that would be assigned to the hospital unit I worked in had a lump on the palm of her hand while going thru respiratory training medical training for 2 years. Her doctor told her not to worry about it and when she started working full time in a hospital and had insurance to get it removed. She did just that. It was biopsied was found to be cancer. Her body scan showed it had infiltrated her lungs. She only lived 2 years more.

In the UK, an NHS doctor would have removed that tumour years ago and would have found any cancer and treated it. I can’t believe a single person in America is resisting the idea of a state-funded healthcare pay for through taxation.
Bullshit, my friend Yana lived in London, she had breast cancer and got put off for 6months. Finally after she tried for third time to get treated her company offered to transfer her to Florida, and there she moved, got treatment and is now cancer free. After she finished her chemo and radiation she gets email she has appointment to get treated nearly 2 yes after initial diagnosis and she was told if she had waited any longer she would be dead. Keep your bullshit government ran healthcare. I know too many people who get little to no care but thankfully they have enough money to go where they need to get help.

A perfect example of why you need to fight for yourself and be an advocate for your own health. Demand a biopsy, demand that a lump be thoroughly checked and dealt with/removed. Don't let doctors tell you it's fine when it's clearly not and it's impacting your life. Her death is a tragedy that shouldn't have happened if early doctors had biopsied the lump and removed it.
