Like yourself, love picking up, where possible, those Peel Sessions...last one I managed to get my hands on was Wild Swans...they are becoming more scare out there. Some great acquisitions there Mike, Note that yourself and Nick from Vinyl Butty had a meet up recently at Leeds Record Fair. Great idea these meet ups, and that's from someone who wouldn't classify himself as naturally sociable :) Leeds is definitely on my to-visit list sometime in 2025. Keep up the good work. You're right about Peel Sessions becoming more difficult to find, but there are still plenty out there. Leeds Record Fair is really worth a visit. Nick, Iain and I will probably meet up next in Jan or Feb next year. If you want to join us you'll be more than welcome. Cheers Mike

I was just recently looking at trying to get that Wreckless Eric record but it was not available in the US even on Discogs. I will keep looking for it. That was a lot of single Mike and then your trying to collect all of King Gizzard. Your going to need a second record room lol

I picked up the exact same Janet Kay single a month ago at Leeds 😄 Trojan singles can be quite cheap but because of the popularity of the stuff and the playing of them at parties back in the day etc... the quality can be a bit iffy. The Trojan Explosion series of EPs are a good wee set to collect,5 in total .
Good haul Mike. Love how on top of the 7"s you are. I have the reissue of that Mekons single. Would be very nice to own an OG. GO4 & Raincoats too!! Very nice. I pick up ska, roots & dub singles every time I got to Japan at the mighty Dub Store in Shinjuku. Nick would go crazy in there. Not familiar with the Electro Hippies at all. Butterfly 3000 is a good one. It's a good psych pop record. How can you not love Wreckless 👍 An OG Swell Maps...woah!! That looks beautiful. What a great record too. Well done mate. Cheers..Ben
Hi Brian. Swell Maps weren't around for very long. Three albums between 79 & 81 then that was it until a single in 2022. "Read About Seymour" was an indie chart hit in 78.

Hi Mike, I first heard the Swell Maps about 40 years ago. A school friend made me a mixed tape! I’ve got the expanded CD of “A trip to marineville” which includes 8 extra tracks. Which tracks are on the 7” vinyl you have with the LP?
