Players' safety is important; therefore, a soccer pitch is vital. Floodlights are secondary; we can always play during the daytime. This GCM2024 is so quiet; fans don't have any information from the organizers. Initially, when Rabgyaling was awarded the GCM, I was quite delighted that the ground condition would improve. However, so far, we have received no information whatsoever from the Sports Committee. During the last few GCMGC events, we received regular updates on teams accommodation. There were videos and photos of updates from the GCM organizers. But this time, we only saw a video of organizers asking for donations at the last minute.
I doubt we could do an artificial turf unless we make a contract from Bengaluru with deadline of April 30th. We could instead work on the quality of the pitch and do the lining with a permanent turf. Also a layer of soft sands would be great.
Goal Keeper Rabgar la should focus on Football. If he's busy doing accounting, that'll affect his game. Someone should be able to change his position. Good luck.
Totally agree to have a better pitch than floodlights as we have fantastic natural sunlight. A green ASTRO truf would be more ideal but need good drainage system as we have heavy rains. Don't know if we have enough time for ASTRO.
